Are you ready for the release of the "Professional" plan of ChatGPT? Today, we will try to answer the million dollar question: is it worth paying for the service?
Are you ready for the release of the “Professional” plan of ChatGPT? Are the days when we could use the free version of ChatGPT without any problems behind us? Although we have not yet tried the paid version of ChatGPT, we are very familiar with the free version. Fortunately for all of us, this version is still around and is not going anywhere (for the time being).
However, the Pro version of ChatGPT is closer than ever and it includes new options that the rest of the users have not yet been able to taste. Today, we will try to answer the million dollar question: is it worth paying for the new ChaGPT?
Through Discord, OpenAI confirmed the news that there would be a more advanced version of ChatGPT, but for a fee. Although it is still in preparation, OpenAI had it quite clear for some time: ChatGPT should become paid in order to “guarantee its support. As mentioned at the beginning, the free version is not going anywhere and will continue to be available for anyone who wants to continue using it.
At the moment, OpenAI has opened a waiting list for those users who want to try the version “Pro” before anyone. But what exactly are the differences between one and the other?
ChatGPT Professional: these are its improvements
OpenAI wants to motivate more advanced users to get more out of their tool. This plan, which will not be cheap, is aimed at them. At the moment, the price of the service will be $42 per month. One of the great advantages that ChatGPT Pro will have over ChatGPT Free will be its response speed. As they explain, there will be fewer error messages, faster, more elaborate responses and without a character limit. Sounds good, doesn’t it? To top it off, waiting times will also be reduced even further.
Try talking with ChatGPT, our new AI system which is optimized for dialogue. Your feedback will help us improve it. https://t.co/sHDm57g3Kr
On the other hand, the free version of ChatGPT will continue as before. No functionality has been added or removed, so you will be able to continue using it as usual. It is worth remembering that ChatGPT supports questions in English or other languages, as well as experimenting with requests of all kinds and more. Just remember that everything you type will be recorded in the OpenAI database.
Despite the fact that the service remains unchanged, some people have complained on Twitter that accessing ChatGPT is even more difficult than before. As OpenAI explains, this is due to the large number of requests that the web receives daily. Will you try the paid version of ChatGPT?
Microsoft announces many dates, data and even a game already available for download.
We finally heard from Xbox after the soulless 2022 on their part in terms of video games. And yes, the novelties could not be better, which has served to remove that bad aftertaste from the previous year.
The green company presented release dates, information and even a video game like Hi-Fi: Rush (which is already available for download). Here’s a summary of the news from the Xbox Developer Direct.
Hi-Fi: Rush, the surprise
The people at Tango Gameworks had developed video games like Ghostwire Tokyo or The Evil Within in recent years, that is, titles with a clear cut where terror is the protagonist. Thanks to the event that we had yesterday, the Japanese have completely changed register with Hi-Fi: Rush.
This adventure, which was the big surprise of the Microsoft event that lasted 45 minutes, is now available for download for all those who are Xbox Game Pass subscribers (and if not, then to buy through digital stores). Behind us we have a video game where music plays a major role, as the combat system is synchronized with the beat of the songs. And yes, the bands that appear are great, like The Black Keys or Nine Inch Nails.
Now available in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, we’ve been able to try it out… and what a game Tangohas come up with. It’s incredible the change of genre that the Japanese studio has undergone and how well it has done. We’ll have reviews here very soon.
Forza Motorsport, no date (but with data)
We really wanted to see what Turn 10, parents of the Forza saga, had in store for us. After how well Playground Games did with Forza Horizon 5, now it is the turn of its simulator side, that is, Forza Motorsport.
At the event we did not have a specific date, but it will arrive during 2023. Before we counted on spring as an indicative date, while now it is all year round. Despite this, the studio wanted to set the teeth long and confirmed that we will have more than 500 cars with up to 800 customization options, as well as 20 faithfully recreated circuits.
It goes without saying that we will have 4K, 60 frames per second, Ray Tracing and everything usual to make it look as good as possible.
Redfall, for May
The people at Arkane have always been a seal of guarantee. Their two studios (one is in France; the other is in the United States) have been known for producing works like Prey, Dishonored or the recent Deathloop. They are good, very good if I dare say so, so we are increasingly eager to see what they have in store for us with Redfall.
Microsoft announced that the vampire title will be available this coming May 2 for PC and Xbox Series X and S. Along with this release date, the company showed an extensive gameplay where you can see the gameplay of the house, with infinite options to face the same problem.
Minecraft Legends, for April
More dates, in this case for Minecraft Legends. The title developed by Mojang and Blackbird Interactive will hit stores on April 18. In addition to being included in Xbox Game Pass, it will land on consoles like PS5 or Nintendo Switch, so more people can enjoy it.
We had already seen a lot about Minecraft Legends before, that game where action, strategy and resource management play a key role (just like in Minecraft). However, here is more material for those who are waiting for it.
Necromm is the name
And to close we have the news with The Elder Scrolls Online, which presented Necrom. Behind this name hides, in fact, a new iteration of Shadows over Morrowind, where we will be able to take a new class as the arcanist and, of course, go through exclusive locations like Apocrypha (no expansion without new area, that’s it).
The story of this new adventure will revolve around the secrets of Hermaeus Mora. We will be able to enjoy it on June 5 on PC, while on consoles it will appear on the 20th of the same month.
Hi-Fi RUSH is the new title from Tango Gameworks in which you'll fight hordes of enemies following the rhythm of the music.
How did you like last night? Did you like the conference that Microsoft brought us? The Xbox Developer Direct showed us the next news from the Microsoft family in its video game ecosystem. An event where we could learn more about their upcoming titles, such as Redfall, Minecraft Legends or The Elder Scrolls: Necrom.
However, the big surprise of the night was brought to us by Hi-Fi RUSH, a video game created by Tango Gameworks (belonging to ZeniMax, a company that Microsoft bought at the end of 2020) that caught the attention of all of us who watched the conference for more for a reason.
Be one with the music
If you’ve ever wondered what would come out of mixing Devil May Cry with PaRappa the Rapper (the typical thing one would wonder), Hi-Fi RUSH is the answer. We are facing a rhythmic hack’n slash (with a more than striking resemblance to Sunset Overdrive) where we will have to fight enemies to the rhythm of the battle music.
Once you enter combat, you will be able to attack the enemies following the beats of the song, chaining series of simple, strong and special attacks that will multiply the score you get if you manage to do it right. A mechanic that is very intuitive, easy to execute (even for people who lack a sense of rhythm) and that penalizes the player almost nothing if the rhythm is not followed correctly.
With that, it should come as no surprise that their music, as well as the way they combine it with the player’s actions, is so wonderful. In addition to its own tracks (mostly composed by Shuichi Kobori), Hi-Fi RUSH’s musical repertoire contains songs such as ‘Invaders Must Die’ by The Prodigy, 1,000,000 by Nine Inch Nails or Wolfgang’s 5th Symphony by Wolfgang Gartner.
Its artistic section is another of the most remarkable aspects of this striking video game. Those of us who saw it live, were quick to see the similarities between this title and the movie Spider-Man: A New Universe, which has a similar visual style and where certain frames are omitted/cut (with a narrative sense in the animated film).
But best of all, by far, is that the game can be played now. Yes, just hours after its announcement at the conference, the game was already available to play on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and included in the Game Pass subscription. So if you feel the rhythm in your “body”, you know what to play.
According to WhatsApp news source WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is introducing new shortcuts that allow users to block other users. The feature is currently being tested by select beta testers and will soon be available to some iOS beta testers. WABetaInfo released the screenshot above in order to give users insight into what the shortcuts are expected to look like.
Upon the feature’s release, users will have access to three new shortcuts that make it easier to block contacts. The first shortcut (an arrow pointing to the left) is found in the context menu under the chat preview, but it is not visible for group chats. The second shortcut (an arrow pointing to the right) is located in the chat options, and the third shortcut (an arrow pointing upwards) appears when a message is received from an unknown contact with whom the user has never chatted before.
Regardless of the shortcut used, WhatsApp will prompt the user to report the number as well. To do this, the user will have to forward the last five messages from that number to WhatsApp’s content moderation team. If, based on the report, the team finds that there has been a violation, it may ban the account.
WhatsApp block – 367 contacts Phone number block – 235 contacts Messenger blocked – 543 accounts 90% of the blocked people are – MEN
And you're singing; "Somebody son go find me one, one day" "I don dey wait don't stay to far away"
As has previously been the case, the feature is currently only available for beta testing on iOS devices. In order to gain access to the new feature, you’ll need to get the latest WhatsApp beta version from the TestFlight app. We expect the feature to be made available for beta testing on Android in the near future.
Once it’s released, you’ll simply need to join the WhatsApp beta program and download the latest update for the app from your chosen mobile app repository. Alternatively, you could download the WhatsApp Beta APK from our website. It’s free and 100% safe.
Netflix is cracking down on freeloaders and changing password sharing to limit only users in a single household to be able to share the same password. This isn’t a new announcement as the streaming giant made these plans public in 2022. However, things are finally in place, and we have a date when these limits will come into play.
Last year, Netflix announced its plans to restrict password sharing to a single household. This was always the intention behind the multiple account option. However, there weren’t any measures in place to enforce this. This led to users sharing their Netflix passwords with friends and family that don’t even live in the same area. Hilarious stories of broken-up relationships where one partner still secretly uses their exes’ Netflix have been plenty.
Netflix is putting a stop to this and limiting users from accessing Netflix accounts that don’t belong to their households. This change will start rolling out at the end of March 2023. It’s expected that this change will affect millions of users. Netflix knows this, as the COO, Gregory K. Peters, mentioned on a call with investors that this will be a largely unpopular move. Any situation where you expect users to pay more, or just pay in this case, is usually met with resistance.
However, that doesn’t mean that Netflix is doing anything wrong, or trying to squeeze every cent out of users. They simply want users who aren’t paying and aren’t part of a paying household, to pay for the service. This is not unrealistic, as users still expect the streaming service to provide top-quality viewing content – which costs a lot in licensing fees.
Netflix has also tested out ways to make this change as simple and affordable as possible. The first feature was tested in countries like Peru, Costa Rica, and Chile last year. During these test runs, users outside of the account holder’s household could create a sub-account for only $2-$3, instead of the full price. This model will be introduced to other countries at the end of March, however, we still need confirmation of what the cost will be for a sub-account in the US.
Alongside this, Netflix is also rolling out a feature that will make it easy for users to create their own accounts while still keeping their preferences, viewing history, etc. To do this, viewers only need to select the ‘Transfer Profile’ option listed in the dropdown menu when they hover over their profile image.
we should all go on strike, we should all cancel our Netflix accounts in March when they get rid of password sharing
Netflix is also still in the testing phases of an advertising-funded plan. This plan will be the cheapest tier, almost $4 cheaper than Netflix’s entry-level plan, but it will contain the occasional ad – much like regular television. By taking these steps, and providing many different options for users to continue enjoying the service, Netflix will be coming down on password sharing.
While we know that many users will be upset by this, it’s an essential move to keep the platform releasing quality content. We also don’t expect that Netflix will be the only streaming platform taking such steps. Everyone is trying to save money wherever possible, so it makes sense that other streaming platforms might look at doing the same.
An anonymous former employee of Twitter denounces that the company would have a program for internal use that allows tweeting from any account
Twitter continues to accumulate controversies. If already last year several voices commented on the great lack of protections in the social network to ensure the privacy of its users, a new accusation claims that the company would not have put any kind of solution even with Elon Musk in charge.
In a hearing before the United States Congress, where members of the Federal Trade Commission were also present, a former employee of the social network declared that Twitter still has an internal tool, known as “GodMode”, which would allow tweeting from any account.
A program that already brought headaches
The Washington Post has echoed this accusation thanks to an employee of the US Congress, who shared with the media a complaint filed last October by Whistleblower, a non-profit law firm that is responsible for representing former employees from Twitter and other big companies.
GodMode was precisely the internal program that in 2020 starred in one of the most controversial moments in the history of the platform. On July 15 of that year, several highly relevant accounts with a large number of followers, including Barack Obama and Elon Musk himself, spread a cryptocurrency scam against their will after a hack that allowed criminals use said tool for internal use.
After this incident, the managers of Twitter announced the repair of said failure in the system, something that the current complainant questions: “After the 2020 hack in which several teens were able to tweet as any account, Twitter publicly stated that the issues had been fixed”affirms his complaint. “However, the existence of GodMode is yet another example that Twitter’s public statements to users and investors were false and/or misleading“.
The anonymous whistleblower, who also spoke with TWP, states that the social network’s engineers only changed the name of the program after the incident, renamed “privileged mode”. A tool that would serve, according to his words, so that Twitter could tweet on behalf of advertisers in the event that they could not on their own.
Over the next few days, we will see how various series and movies join the catalogs of these services, to the good fortune of subscribers.
The streaming war is more alive than ever. Platforms are renewing their catalog and announcing releases left and right to capture the attention of users. Thus, over the next few days we will see several series and movies join the catalogs of these services, to the good fortune of subscribers. These are some of the premieres we will see during the end of January:
January 25: “Yolo: Crystal Fantasy” (Second season).
Amazon Prime Video Releases
January 27: “Shotgun Wedding” and “On the Fringe”.
January 28: “Fast & Furious 9”.
Disney + Releases
January 25: “Extraordinary” and “Entre el mundo y yo”.
Premieres not to be missed
With the great amount of fictions that are premiering these last days of January, it is difficult to choose what to watch during our free time. One of the most outstanding fictions is “Shotgun Wedding“, a film starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, in addition to the wonderful Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus). We will also see the arrival of the Turkish telenovela “Entre el mundo y yo” to Disney+, a romantic comedy with love triangle and social networks included.
On the other hand, February is a month that will also come well loaded. One of the series you should keep an eye out for is “The Law According to Lidia Poët“, a Netflix series focused on the protagonist’s struggle to become a lawyer. “Invincible” is also returning this year to Amazon Prime Video, although we don’t have an official premiere date yet.
We recommend 10 video games that are essential in the catalog. How many have you played?
Since the PlayStation Plus catalog was renewed almost a year ago with different tiers for players, it has been nourished by a large number of renowned video games. Unlike what happened with PlayStation Now, now we do have fantastic titles every month that are included in the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription (the Premium is for a long debate, we are not going to deny it).
If you plan to make the leap to this subscription, we bring you 10 video games that you must play yes or yes on PlayStation Plus.
What is PlayStation Plus?
Before getting into the matter, what you should know is that PlayStation Plus is a subscription system divided into three classifications: an Essential that costs 60 euros, an Extra that costs 90 euros and a last Premium that costs 120 euros.
PlayStation Plus is used to play video games online, as well as to obtain dozens of titles that Sony incorporates into its library.
Bloodborne
Hidetaka Miyazaki said that his favorite work is Bloodborne; and reasons are not lacking. The work that From Software did with this exclusive title for PlayStation is impressive. In fact, almost a decade has passed since its launch and it never stops repeating itself that hopefully we will see it one day on PC so that all players can enjoy it (like Elden Ring or Sekiro).
With a dark, gloomy and more Lovecraft-like aesthetic than the medieval one we are used to, the hunter’s dream must be fulfilled. Will you do it?
Celeste
Depression has never been so well represented in a video game as Celeste did. Created as a prototype in a game jam, Maddy Thorson, its director, saw such potential in this work that he continued with its development. The outcome is well known to all: one of the best platformers we have in the video game.
Madeline is the protagonist of this work, a young girl who has to climb a fictitious mountain named Celeste. During her climb she will have to overcome her fears and face them. The game is very difficult, but the experience it offers is impressive. One of those recommendations that should be on any list.
Devil May Cry 5
Possibly the best hack & slash that exists (with the permission of Metal Gear Rising): Devil May Cry 5. The game that Capcom developed in 2019 continues to enamor millions of people around the world. In addition, PlayStation Plus includes both the base version and the Special Edition, which incorporates Vergil as a playable character (you can play, therefore, with all four available).
The combat system that was created, with so many variants for each fighter, makes this DMC5 a title so special and remembered by all (in addition to a dream graphic section thanks to the RE Engine). In fact, they set the bar so high that let’s see what they can do with the sixth installment.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
It is impossible not to recommend this: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Within this subscription is the remake of one of the most famous titles in video game history. Released by Square Enix in April 2020, the edition that is included is not only the basic one, but also the Intergrade one. In this way, PlayStation 5 players will be able to enjoy Yuffie’s additional story (which is great, by the way).
Needless to say that later this year we will have the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of the Remake. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to get your hands on this edition and start opening your mouth before everything arrives.
God of War
Now that everyone is talking about God of War Ragnarok for its recent release, nothing better than enjoying the first work of this new cycle: the God of War of 2018. Accustomed to that Kratos of the previous installments, this one tries to forget his past by raising his son Atreus. However, violence is intrinsic to his person.
Sony Santa Monica broke so many schemes with this God of War that it became, for many, the favorite game of all. And it is normal that it happened, since it is a great game with all the letters, not to mention the combat system so addictive that has where Atreus and Kratos combine all their power side by side.
Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition
Another one that started as a small project… and now is one of the most loved videogames by the community. Hollow Knight is an excellent metroidvania that stands out in every aspect: for its platforming, its action, its enemies, its final bosses, etc.
Players keep asking for its second part, Hollow Knight: Silksong, so while it arrives or not (in principle it does this year), there is nothing better than enjoying its first installment with a more complete edition.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
It’s usually off the radar of the rankings, but Hotline Miami 2 (and 1 too) is an excellent video game. Its mechanics are simple but effective: we enter a room and we have to kill all the enemies with a series of resources within our reach. If you don’t get it, the level is restarted.
To this we must add that the soundtrack of Hotline Miami 2 is one of the best you will hear in a video game. What songs does it have.
Marvel’s Spider-Man
Here we cheat a bit, since we recommend two games for one. Within the PlayStation Plus catalog we have both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The second is a downloadable content with its own campaign for Miles Morales. The grace? It’s as worth it as the first.
By far the best wall-climbing video game ever created. What a joy it is to walk through New York swinging with the cobwebs. In addition, its combat system is very fun, so you are going to have a great time hitting the enemies.
Returnal
For the server that writes these lines, the most original game that PlayStation has released in recent years: Returnal. Its scheme flees completely from the template that Sony applies to its games, thanks to a narrative where the time loop is present. Everything is told through the remains of our other selves. After all, Returnal plays with the time loop: if we die, we start over and our previous corpse tells us where we are. A daring proposal that has not pleased everyone, but it is very original within the rogue-like.
Its frenetic action, combined with the funniest platforming, made for an excellent game that deserves more attention.
Uncharted 4: Legend of the Thief
We close this compilation with Uncharted 4: The Legend of the Thief. Although it is true that it is advisable to have played the three previous installments, with this fourth part the final touch is put on the adventure of Nathan Drake. Yes, it can be played without knowing the previous ones, but if it is done, it is more enjoyable.
Naughty Dog created a balanced game where action, treasures, puzzles and platforms go hand in hand, as well as some levels where speed prevails above all else.
PayPal and LastPass, two highly relevant companies, suffered two cyberattacks at the end of last year, compromising their users' data
Cybersecurity is an issue that concerns (and affects) more and more companies around the world, and on which our most private data often depends. Despite the large (and ever-increasing) investment being made by companies to safeguard their users’ information, cybercriminals are finding ways to achieve their goals.
In the last two months, two hacks have taken place on websites of great relevance in the technological world: LastPass and PayPal. Malicious accesses that put the accounts of thousands of people around the world at risk, with the implicit possibility that the attackers (or those to whom they sold the stolen data) could access both their passwords on other websites and their digital wallets.
Internet cybercriminals are going for it
Between December 6 and December 8 last year, cybercriminals accessed 34,942 PayPal user accounts. The company said that no transactions were made on any of these accounts from the time the malicious accesses began until PayPal “removed the unauthorized third-party access” on December 8, although it is unknown whether their personal data may have been collected in the process.
A case of cyberattack that could not be classified as “hacking”, since the criminals accessed the affected accounts through a tactic known as “credential stuffing“, which consists of using stolen credentials from websites to try to access others. All the more reason to remind everyone never to use one password on more than one site.
However, this security measure reveals another problem: we must be able to remember multiple passwords (which, in addition, must be combinations of numbers, letters and symbols). Faced with this situation, many people turn to password managers such as LastPass, where they can keep them safe, and then continue with their lives. And everything is going well… until LastPass is hacked.
The company suffered a cyberattack on November 30 that affected a number of users that LastPass’ parent company, Goto, has not disclosed at this time. At the moment, it is only known that this cyberattack affected several of its products, including its Central business communications tool. The company has also not given any recommendations to those affected by the incident.
A series of hacks are becoming more and more frequent and affect companies of all kinds. Riot Games, the company behind the League of Legends and Valorant video games, announced last Friday that it was hacked by cybercriminals. A highly serious incident, as the attackers were able to access the source code of the League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics games, as well as that of its internal anti-cheat system.
In June 2022, Apple unveiled the new M2 chip. This is the next-generation chip that follows the M1 chip. Is it as powerful as everyone makes it out to be?
This article will help you understand everything about the M2 chip and if it is worth the hype.
What Is the M2 Chip?
The new M2 chip has been developed, especially for use in iPads and Macs. This is as per Apple’s continued effort to move away from Intel chips used in MacBooks until 2020.
The M2 is referred to as a “system on a chip.” It includes several components, such as the GPU, CPU, RAM, secure enclave, neural engine, image signal processor, thunderbolt controller, SSD controller, encode/decode engines, and more. All these components will power various functions of the Mac.
Before the introduction of the M2, Apple used different chips for different functionalities. This is why the M2 is much faster. It has a unified memory architecture, and the system can now access different functionalities without swapping memory pools.
The unified memory architecture in the M2 means that the GPU, CPU, and other components don’t have to copy data from each other. They can now access the same data pool.
What Is Included With the M2?
Just like the M1, the new M2 chip will come with an 8-core CPU. It, however, supports more than that (9 or 10 cores), unlike 7 or 8 cores with the M1. The M2 has four cores that are high-performance and four that are high-efficiency. High-performance cores offer top performance for single-threaded tasks that are power-intensive. All eight cores work together when it comes to multi-threaded tasks.
For all tasks that don’t need as much power, such as browsing the web, the system uses high-efficiency cores. These cores use just 1/10th of the power and preserve the battery life. As per Apple, the M2 chip is built with 5-nanometer next-gen technology. It delivers better performance per watt. It also delivers 25% more than the M1, with over 20 billion transistors.
The M2 is almost 1.4 times faster than the M1, with a 40% faster neural engine. As far as multi-core performance goes, Geekbench has confirmed that M2 is almost 20% faster. It runs at 3.49GHz as compared to the M1, which runs at 3.2GHz.
With the M2 chip, the battery in the MacBook Air lasts up to 18 hours. In the MacBook Pro, it lasts for up to 20 hours. Despite the high power that the M2 brings, it is more battery-efficient than any other Mac chip.
Security
All Intel Macs came with a T2 chip built-in that was responsible for handling security on Macs. However, with the M1 and M2 chips, no secondary chip is needed for security. The M2 chip comes with a built-in secure enclave. This manages touch ID and other features.
M2 Pro & M2 Max
After Apple released the M1, they also released M1 Pro, M1 Ultra, and M1 Max, and the same can be expected with M2. Apple is working on M2 Pro and M2 Max, which are expected soon.
