Infinite Machine has officially unveiled its latest electric two-wheeler, the Olto, designed to seamlessly integrate into the urban transportation landscape of American cities.
This bike-lane-ready moped complies with Class 2 e-bike regulations, allowing it to reach a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h) while ensuring full access to bicycle lanes.
With a sleek design reminiscent of the company’s earlier futuristic model, the Olto combines innovative technology with an appealing aesthetic.
Is the Olto the Future of E-Bikes? Exploring Its Innovative Design and Safety Features
Powered by a 48V 25Ah battery with a capacity of 1.2 kWh, the Olto promises a range of 40 miles (64 km) on a single charge. The battery is removable, facilitating fast charging that boosts it back to 50% in just an hour, making it ideal for urban commuting.
Notably, the Olto also features an ‘off-road’ mode that allows it to hit speeds up to 33 mph (53 km/h), raising safety concerns about its use in bike lanes.
Security is a priority with features including GPS tracking, LTE connectivity, and an electric lock to thwart thieves. The Olto also comes equipped with a modular accessory system, enabling users to personalize their ride with functional add-ons such as child carriers and racks.
Priced at $3,495, the Olto positions itself as either an affordable moped or an expensive e-bike, depending on consumer perspective.
Joe Cohen, CEO and co-founder of Infinite Machine, emphasizes the unique blend of automotive-grade components and e-bike functionality that the Olto offers. “What makes Olto special isn’t any single feature—it’s how everything comes together,” he states, highlighting its user-friendly design and advanced technological attributes as key selling points.
As urban mobility evolves, the Olto appears poised to provide a compelling alternative to traditional motorized vehicles, with the potential to shift more riders towards economical and environmentally friendly transportation options.
