The long-awaited sequel to ‘The Social Network’ has been announced, titled ‘The Social Reckoning’, and it will be released on October 9, 2026. Directed by Aaron Sorkin, known for his mastery in screenwriting and storytelling, this new installment promises to explore the impact of Facebook two decades after its creation.

A completely different approach

Jeremy Strong, known for his role in ‘Succession’, will take on the role of Mark Zuckerberg, replacing Jesse Eisenberg, who portrayed the controversial founder of Facebook in the original film. Despite taking on this significant role, Strong has stated that he has not had conversations with Eisenberg and that his interpretation of the character will take a different direction, which may raise expectations for a more nuanced Zuckerberg in this new cinematic vision.

The plot of ‘The Social Reckoning’ will focus on the tensions and ethical dilemmas that have arisen over the years surrounding the social platform. The story will follow a Facebook engineer, played by Mikey Madison, who teams up with a Wall Street Journal journalist, Jeremy Allen White, to uncover the company’s dark secrets. This focus on the hidden truth behind the popular platform is relevant at a time when privacy and ethics in social media are crucial topics of discussion in our society.

Strong has praised Sorkin, describing him as one of the best writers and directors he has worked with, stating that the script for this sequel is one of the most outstanding he has had the opportunity to read. With Sorkin’s direction and a rising cast, the anticipation for ‘The Social Reckoning’ continues to grow among film fans and critics.

Mark Zuckerberg has built a $100 million bunker just in case

An underground mansion, a luxury bunker that seems taken out of the fantasies of a cartoon millionaire or ‘Bioshock.’ And we all know how well ‘Bioshock’ ends.

Imagine that you have, give or take, a million dollars, all the money in the world. What would you do with it? If your answer is “Enjoy it”, you don’t have the shark mindset that Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta (formerly known as Facebook and Instagram), has. He has built an underground mansion, a luxury bunker that seems to be taken from the fantasies of a millionaire cartoon or ‘Bioshock’. And we all know how ‘Bioshock’ ends.

Zuck at the bunker

And where is he setting it up? Well, where else: in Kauai, the Hawaiian island where he lives and where he owns 566 hectares of land with two mansions, a gym with a pool and tennis courts included, and of course, a bunker. Let’s see which good house doesn’t have one nowadays, it’s a trend. This one will be connected to the mansions by a tunnel accessed through a gigantic metal and cement door, just in case a new world war starts. The usual.

Underground, the boy will have elevators, soundproof walls, his own water tanks, and secret entrances. You can’t say anything negative about Zuckerberg -not about capitalism- because, frankly, it sounds very -very- fun. That’s right. In general, the entire complex will cost him 270 million dollars (or, as he calls it, “pocket change”) and the only thing he has asked employees working there is absolute silence and signing NDAs so that no one knows exactly what is inside.

If I were David Fincher, I would already be taking notes for ‘The Social Network 2’, because, although his family is delighted and already considers the Koolau Ranch (that’s its name) as their home, the truth is that it is a megalomaniac move by the book. For now, Zuck has already had some meetings there and will have an easy time not running into anyone if he gets angry, because he will have about 30 rooms with their respective 30 bathrooms. Those are the people who will never have to go on Idealista to find a roommate. Ay.

Musk vs. Zuckerberg: The Feud Takes an Unexpected Turn Towards Constructive Debate

Elon Musk is trying to wriggle out of the fight with Mark Zuckerberg after seeing that the Meta founder has time on his hands (and plenty of trainers) to prepare to beat him to his heart’s content.

It’s the boxing match that slipped away from Ibai, the fratricidal battle nobody asked for, the duel between two tech magnates that could end with one of the world’s richest individuals kissing the canvas after a solid uppercut from their opponent. Well, at least it is in our imagination, because in real life, it seems Elon Musk is trying to wriggle out of the fight with Mark Zuckerberg after realizing that the Meta founder has some free time (and enough trainers) to prepare thoroughly and deliver a beating.

A musktio combat

After boldly stating that Twitter (well, X, but you get the idea) would broadcast the match, he started complaining about neck discomfort. In fact, he mentioned that he might need surgery, so darn it, they would have to postpone the fight. Oh, what a shame, I was so looking forward to it and now I can’t, darn it, cursed neck, ahem.

The next escape valve for his millionaire bluster has been found in the form of Chris Anderson, the director of TED (yes, the ones who organize the famous TED Talks), who suggested that instead of a fight, the showdown between the two should be a debate. Of course, in a ring, throwing words instead of punches. The topic: ‘How to Build an Amazing Future.’ If I can choose, I’d prefer to see Musk‘s bloody face on the ground, honestly.

But the founder of SpaceX and current CEO of Twitter has confirmed that a debate “also seems like a good idea. This is really fighting like (I believe) a noble sport. We also hope, with humility, to express our admiration for those who have fought before for noble causes.” A lot of talk for very little action, huh?

Will we see the debate between these two soon, or will we have to wait for the next Event of the Year? Will they really resist the urge to throw punches and sit down to discuss in a debate? For now, everything remains up in the air. And Zuck is quite muscular, by the way. It all influences.
