The world of Pokémon GO is preparing for a significant change in its leveling system, as the maximum level limit will increase from 50 to 80 starting October 15. This increase of 30 levels represents the biggest change in the history of the popular augmented reality game and comes with a new progression system that will allow trainers to level up more frequently and receive better rewards along the way.
Level 80, I choose you!
With the new update, players who reach level 50 before the deadline will not only see their efforts recognized, but will also receive cosmetic rewards, such as a special jacket and a new pose for their avatar. This benefits players who have dedicated years to reach this point, providing a clear incentive to speed up their progress before the implementation of the change.
Starting August 26, experience (XP) bonuses will be introducedthat will allow players to level up faster. Players will earn double XP for accurate throws and an additional 3,000 XP for winning battles, making it easier to reach level 50 before the update. Additionally, with the launch of new research tasks, trainers will be able to accumulate up to 7 million XP, representing a significant opportunity to dive deep into the game.
The restructuring in the progression also involves a change in research tasks, removing those from levels 41 to 50 in favor of new assignments for levels 71 to 80. This presents a considerable challenge, as the transition to a higher limit brings with it a certain expectation regarding the difficulty of reaching the new levels, although the progression experience is expected to be smoother for all players.
