We are totally crazy about GTA 6. Everyone wants it to come out now and the expectation in the networks is enormous. To top it off, we live from leak to leak.

According to a tipster, GTA 6 will include “part of Cuba” as a playable area alongside Vice City, as well as a time jump at some point in the story.

GTA 6 may not have shown up at the PlayStation Showcase like everyone expected, but it still looks like a reveal of some sort could be just around the corner, especially now that Take-Two is openly commenting on the game and has even suggested it could launch in the next fiscal year.

We’re still waiting for an official reveal, but one leaker has suggested that our next trip to Vice City could include a stopover in nearby island nation Cuba.

Next, McVicker is quick to list some things he knows about the game, such as that it will have two playable characters, that there will be some sort of time jumping and that Cuba will be a playable zone.

McVicker said, “We already know how GTA 6″ is going to end. Spoilers, Bonnie and Clyde in the 1930s were killed in a shootout. It’s not three playable characters, it’s two. It takes place with a time jump. It takes place in the Miami, Florida area, and then also part of Cuba. It’s about drug trafficking. It’s about bank robbery. It’s coming out in 2024.”

For those wondering, McVicker has had a solid track record of leaks in the past, though they’ve mostly focused on Valve games and projects.

It’s also worth noting that much of what McVicker says in the video matches up with previous leaks of GTA 6. We’ve known for a while now, thanks to development footage that came out in 2021, that GTA 6 will take place in Vice City and feature a male and female protagonist, two things McVicker points out in the video.

Time jump within GTA 6?

What is most striking about McVicker’s comments is the mention of a time jump and Cuba. It’s not clear from McVicker’s comments when the time jump will take place, but it’s worth noting that GTA 5 started with a flashback and Red Dead Redemption 2 ended up jumping several years forward, so it’s not out of character for Rockstar.

As for parts of Cuba being playable in GTA 6, that’s not too surprising either considering how we were able to visit Guarma in Red Dead Redemption 2.

McVicker’s comment hints that Cuba will not be part of the main map and will be a secondary location that we will visit as part of the story, again along the lines of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Decades of UFO Sightings: NASA’s Startling Findings from 800 Recorded Cases

A committee of experts from NASA has investigated for several months 800 cases of UFOs registered during the last 27 years. These are their conclusions.

A group of NASA experts have investigated 800 different cases of unidentified flying objects recorded over the past 27 years, and their results are… well, rather discouraging for those who “want to believe”. The researchers have been able to ascertain that only 2 to 5% of these hundreds of cases are truly unexplained.

According to The Register, this group of experts is composed of 16 people, including scientists, company executives, U.S. federal employees and even an astronaut. A committee that has studied for seven months the reports of UFO sightings of the last decades.

David Spergel, a retired professor of astrophysics at Princeton University, called at a public hearing on Wednesday for the need for better quality data to be collected in order to study and understand this type of phenomenon.

“Right now there are a very limited number of high-quality observations and preservation of UFO data,” he said in his keynote address. “The available data from eyewitness reports are often confusing and cannot provide conclusive evidence to support UFO recognition and analysis.”

The researcher also mentioned existing problems with audiovisual recordings of UFOs: “the background of an object can further complicate the data and render it unusable due to conventional objects that can mimic or completely eclipse the phenomena, such as commercial aircraft, military equipment to weather and ionospheric phenomena such as auroras. This lack of high-quality data makes it impossible to draw scientific conclusions about the nature of UFOs.”

Most recorded UFOs turn out to be military aircraft, weather balloons or even ordinary balloons reflecting sunlight. According to Nadia Drake, a member of the research group and an independent science journalist, only 2 to 5% of the 800 sightings studied turned out to be anomalous.

“Existing current data and eyewitness reports alone are insufficient to provide conclusive evidence on the nature and origin of each UFO event,” Spergel concluded, adding that “better targeted data collection, comprehensive preservation and robust analysis” are needed to “discern sightings from unexplained gaps.”

Isolation Experiment: NASA’s Groundbreaking Test for Future Mars Explorers

Four people will cohabit in a small Martian housing prototype, imitating the isolation and stresses of life on the Red Planet.

On June 25th, four crew members will don their suits and embark on a mission to Mars, living for an entire year in a small 3D-printed habitat, with only each other for company.

But these space explorers won’t be leaving Earth. Their simulated Martian environment is located in a large hangar at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

It is designed to test the psychological and social challenges that the first visitors to the Red Planet will face.

The program is called Chapea

Acronym for Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog, NASA hopes that the lessons learned from this unique social experiment can help future astronauts when they actually set foot on the Martian surface. For example, they aim to learn how the space agency can make the crew feel comfortable and help them get along with each other, or how to cope with loneliness or homesickness.

“If we make it to the end of the year and the crew is intact and we haven’t had any dropouts, that would be a huge accomplishment for me. It seems feasible, but in reality, it will be very tough,” says Kelly Haston, biomedical researcher and mission commander.

Just like the first wave of Martian astronauts, Haston and her crewmates (Ross Brockwell, Nathan Jones, and Alyssa Shannon) will live in a confined space without contact with other people.

They will be able to communicate with mission control, but with a 20-minute delay, as if they were 160 million kilometers away from home.

Just like real visitors to Mars, they will only see a stark and lifeless landscape, which NASA is simulating with a closed space covered in Martian mural images and a 1,200-square-foot sandbox filled with red sand.

Every week, they will have several opportunities to go outside for “Mars walks,” wearing their spacesuits.

A gigantic house where they will be alone for a whole year

The 1,700-square-meter structure they will live in has been 3D printed using simulated Martian regolith to mimic NASA’s plans for future missions.

It features Ikea-style furniture, clean spaces, and bright lighting, resembling a high-end hostel for space workers. The habitat includes small individual rooms for the crew, a common area with a table for meals and team meetings, chairs and a sofa, a workspace, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and an exercise room. And that’s it.

“The goal of the Chapea mission is to gather data on the health and performance of the crew while living in a realistic and constrained environment, and experiencing the lifestyle expected of Mars astronauts,” explains project deputy director Raina MacLeod.

Although the idea of putting four people in the same structure for an extended period and observing how they interact may sound like a reality TV show, the crew will be disciplined and have tasks to fulfill.

In many ways, their daily routine will be similar to that of astronauts on the International Space Station, but with a bit more space and without the zero-gravity floating.

However, SpaceX is not the only company aiming to popularize space travel. The French startup Zephalto has announced its intention to provide “culinary experiences in space.” There is just one drawback: the price. Unless you have 120,000 euros to spare, attending might be a challenge.

Zephalto’s experience includes designer French dishes along with the most exclusive beverages and wines, all within a luxurious environment. The interior cabin design is created by Joseph Dirand, an architect known for designing stores for brands like Balmain.

Currently, Zephalto plans to offer 60 flights per year, with only 6 diners on each flight. They have already started conducting initial tests to make it possible. The company aims to provide attendees with an evening overlooking Earth between 2024 and 2025.
