A remaster that promises significant visual changes

During the State of Play in February 2025, it was announced that Days Gone Remastered will arrive on April 25, offering specific graphical improvements for PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. This new version will allow players to choose between two modes on the base PlayStation 5: the Performance mode, which will run at 1440p and 60 FPS, and the Quality mode, with a native resolution of 4K at 30 FPS. Additionally, a later patch has been confirmed that will add a 40 FPS option for compatible televisions.

For those with a PS5 Pro, the game will offer up to 2880p in Quality mode and an alternative mode of 1800p at 60 FPS, thanks to improvements in graphical representation, such as lighting and shadow quality, which have been highlighted by Kevin McAllister, creative director of Bend Studio.

In addition to the visual improvements, the remaster will include new game modes such as permadeath, where players will have to start over upon dying, and a speedrun mode that will track the completion time of the story.
