Satish Kaushik: Bollywood Actor and Director Passes Away aged 66

Satish Kaushik, a Bollywood actor-filmmaker, passed away after a heart attack on March 8 in Gurugram. Kaushik was in Gurugram visiting a friend when his health deteriorated, and he requested his driver to take him to the hospital. Sadly, he suffered a heart attack on their way, and they couldn’t save him.

On Thursday, his body was transferred from Gurugram’s Fortis hospital for a postmortem at Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital. Upon completing his autopsy, Kaushik’s mortal remains were flown home that afternoon to Mumbai.

Condolence has streamed in from Bollywood celebs such as Sharad Kelkar, Kangana Ranaut, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ajay Devgn, among several others, and a tribute tweet from Union minister Amit Shah.

They performed the last rites of Kaushik at the Versova crematorium in Mumbai. Many stars visited Kaushik’s residence to pay their respects, with Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Javed Akhtar, Sham Kaushal, and Anupam Kher among them.

Satish Kaushik suffered a heart attack and died at age 66

“I know “death is the ultimate truth of this world!” But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!” – Kher wrote in his tribute.

Satish Kaushik was an Indian screenwriter, comedian, producer, actor, and director. He started his career in theatre and was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. He had a long and storied career and worked on almost 100 films. We will remember him for his memorable roles in Mr. India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural, and others. As a director, Kaushik worked on films such as Tere Naam, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Prem, and Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja.

Robots replacing reality TV hosts in Milf Manor

MILF Manor is a reality TV program begging to be discussed and analyzed on the internet. The show’s title and setup of mothers and their sons competing in the same dating pool is so outrageous, it borders on being normal. The contestants are even asked to participate in a blindfolded contest to identify their sons by their abs alone. However, it looks like robots are now coming into play.

Robots replacing reality tv hosts milf manor

One of the most interesting aspects of the show is the absence of a traditional host. Instead, the contestants receive alerts and directions via text messages on iPhones provided by the producers. In a trend noticed on other reality TV shows, there’s no actual human host.

The Circle, a show on Netflix, set off the trend in 2020. The show consists of contestants who compete to create the most popular social media presence while living in isolation. They receive tasks and challenges through television in their living quarters. A more recent show on Netflix called Pressure Cooker, takes this concept a step further by replacing the host with a kitchen printer that sends out challenges and voting results.

The Button, a YouTube series produced by Cut, takes it even further by featuring a large talking button that provides comedic prompts and awkward questions for the daters until one of them presses it, signalling the end of the date and bringing in a new match.

The removal of the host role in these shows may be a cost-saving measure as reality TV competition shows are known for being budget-friendly to produce. Additionally, it could be that the role of reality TV host is not as attractive to high-profile figures as it once was. In the past, well-known personalities such as Tyra Banks, Mario Lopez, and Donald Trump were frequently seen as hosts, but this is no longer the case.

Robots replacing reality tv hosts milf manor

This trend could also indicate a shift in the way audiences view reality TV, and the need for a host figure may not be seen as important or necessary in the current climate.

Even though these examples above are far more benign than AI controlling a group of humans in a reality show, this trend may speak to a dystopian future where that could actually happen. Or, a future where AI and robots take over the entertainment industry entirely. We’ve already seen AI, like Microsoft’s controversial Tay, break into the social media entertainment space.

Everything we know so far about Ted Lasso season 3

The eagerly anticipated third season of Ted Lasso will be back this spring 2023, as announced by Apple TV+. To give fans a glimpse of what’s to come, the network has released a first-look image of the titular coach in the upcoming third season. (Pictured above)

The highly-anticipated third season of Ted Lasso is set to arrive in just a few months’ time. The new season will continue the story from where it left off in season two, particularly focusing on the aftermath of Nate Shelley’s defection to become the manager of Premier League team West Ham.

First look

The first image from the upcoming season of Ted Lasso shows Nick Mohammed’s character Nate facing off against the show’s titular coach, Ted Lasso (played by Jason Sudeikis), at what appears to be the West Ham facilities. In the background, Rupert Mannion (played by Anthony Head) is seen observing the confrontation with a sinister expression.

Ted lasso season 3

Season 3 Plot

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, editors A.J. Catoline and Melissa McCoy revealed that the show’s characters Rebecca and Nate will experience some of the most significant character development in the upcoming third season. ‘[Nate’s] on a trajectory, career-wise.

From season one as kitman, then he became a coach, and now he’s the coach of West Ham. Jason is so very generous as a producer and creator. He gives all of the characters a storyline. I think that’s why [the episodes] are so full…There are so many storylines; he wants every character to have an arc.’

The second season of Ted Lasso was a massive success in 2022, winning several Emmy awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Jason Sudeikis, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Brett Goldstein, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for MJ Delaney. It was the most Emmy-winning comedy of the year.

Even though we don’t know exactly when the third season of Ted Lasso is due to release, we’ll keep you updated as news drops. If the first two seasons are anything to go by, the third season is likely to be a whole lot of fun, with at least a few curved balls thrown in to keep things interesting.

Scream 6 Trailer Reveals a New Twist on Ghostface: Everything you need to know!

Ghostface is coming for New York in Scream 6, following the teens to college. See the exciting trailer here!

Guess who’s back, and it’s about to make a killing…literally. That’s right, Ghostface is making a return in Scream 6, but it’s in a new town. Also, it doesn’t seem like the stalking murdered is playing by the usual horror-trope rules, which means things are about to become more intense and gory. The release is slated for March 10, 2023.

Scream DOWNLOAD

Here’s a look at the trailer for Scream 6:

While the other Scream movies take place in Woodsboro, California, the scenery is now changing. Scream 5 saw a younger cast as Ghostface took on a batch of new teenagers to the series. Now, these teens are heading to New York to attend Blackmore University. I don’t think the killer is going to give them time to focus on their studies.

Scream 6: everything you need to know

Here’s a more adult-theme trailer for Scream 6, with more swearing and gore:

Those returning to the cast for Scream 6 are Courtney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Melissa Barrera, and Jenna Ortega. Please forgive me for saying that I’m eager to see Wednesday Adams face the new Ghostface in New York. Maybe Thing can lend a hand.

We will also see new actors in the movie, especially the NYPD trying to deal with this criminal they don’t yet understand. The newcomers are Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Dermot Mulroney (TV’s The Purge). We’ll have to see if these are simply lambs for the slaughter or if they can survive the murders.

As a horror fan and author, you don’t know how excited I am about the release of Scream 6. In the game Dead by Daylight, I’ve unlocked Ghostface as one of the murderers, and he’s definitely one of the fastest. As much as I love playing Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill DLC, he’s just a tad slow and one of the most challenging characters to play.

Why Brendan Fraser Isn’t Going to the Golden Globes despite a Nomination

Who of you loved Brendan Fraser’s acting almost two decades ago? The beloved star of The Mummy and George of the Jungle features in a new film called The Whale, where he plays an obese gay man trying to repair the damaged relationship he has with his teenage daughter. While Fraser is nominated for his outstanding performance at the upcoming Golden Globes awards, he’s not going.

Even just watching the trailer of The Whale should give you goosebumps at Fraser’s brilliant performance. It’s been a while since we’ve seen him centerstage in a movie like this. For many of us, we can’t wait to see it. However, the movie and the Golden Globe nomination are sadly tainted with the scars of the past and inherent present.

In 2018, Brendan Fraser had an interview where he discussed why he hasn’t been showing up in movies lately. He finally revealed that Philip Berk, the previous Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) president, sexually assaulted him in 2003. Even though Fraser had mentioned it to someone at that time, Berk denied all claims against him. It was shrugged off.

The HFPA has had a rough past recently. As recent as February 2021, there was massive controversy due to there not being sufficient diversity in the management of the group. To further show Berk’s character, he sent an email to HFPA representatives saying the Black Lives Matter movement was nothing but racist hatred.

Brendan Fraser Isn’t Going to the Golden Globes 2

While the HFPA has been working on adding more diversity, Fraser’s nomination is receiving mixed responses. He received a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival for his performance in The Whale. On the other side of the court, many people are saying there are sufficient obese gay men to play the role without the need for a fat suit.

No matter what the people’s opinion, Fraser has made a clear statement that he won’t be going to the Golden Globes Awards for his nomination. There’s too much bad history there, and nothing the HFPA can repair it. He also doesn’t believe they’ve changed their ways, despite adding more diversity.

Instagram has spoken and declared Ronaldo the winner in the beautiful footballing battle that has been waged between him and Leo Messi for more than a decade. Ronaldo has almost 70 million followers than Messi, which proves only one thing, Instagram doesn’t know anything at all about football. We bet you Instagram even calls it soccer! Messi’s account is in fact pretty similar to Ronaldo’s to be fair, offering an inside look into Messi’s real-life while also showcasing training videos and photos alongside the odd post advocating for good causes.

Another footballer takes the third top spot in sports Instagram accounts with the Brazilian Neymar taking the honor. You have to go all the way down to 38th most popular Instagram account in total to get to a sports star who isn’t a footballer that falls on Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who sits just above Justin Timberlake. To be fair to Instagram on football, they’ve called it OK here, he’s incredibly talented but not fit to lace the boots of Messi or Ronaldo so his position in number three is well warranted.
