A man of fluctuating or complex opinions
This does not prevent him from declaring that he is tremendously proud that they are making a remake of his game, even thanking Miyamoto himself for it. But regarding the designs, it seems he is among those who think they are not as good as they could be. Stating that “I guess this is what happens when I’m not supervising… or something along those lines. I think the concept is fine”, he does not fall into the category of those who hate the designs, but he has not shown much enthusiasm about them either.
Or so we thought. After his statements became news over the weekend, Imamura himself has come out to assert that “the character design of Star Fox on Switch 2 is exactly as I imagined it in my head in Star Fox 64”. This seems to contradict his previous statements.
From this point on, there are several possible interpretations of why this change in tone occurred. It is possible that someone at Nintendo scolded him and he had to come out to defend the designs, that nuances were lost in translation or in his expression of what he wanted to say, or simply that he finds the version of the movie cuter and they should have used that instead of the one he had in mind during the development of the original game.
What is clear is that the game is not leaving fans indifferent. Not even its original designer. But to know if the designs are good or not, we will still have to wait until next June 25, which is when Star Fox is released exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Something that has only intensified due to a controversy brewing on social media: several OnlyFans models believe that their work has been misrepresented in the series. Going so far as to consider the storyline related to the platform offensive.
A series in free fall and full of criticism
In the third season of Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie, needs to raise $500,000 for her wedding. Since she has little time to do so, she decides to create an OnlyFans to make a lot of money in a short period. From here, a series of comic sketches begin where she first dresses up in a dog costume and then as a baby, all while striking suggestive poses, to get the money she needs and proceed with her wedding.
In addition to the ridiculousness of the plot, OnlyFans models have wanted to point out that what Cassie’s character does is prohibited on the platform “credit card companies have very strict rules that must be followed, and they are becoming stricter” said Sydney Leathers, a content creator who has been on the platform since 2017. Why? Because according to OnlyFans’ Terms of Use, any content related to minors, whether real or simulated, is strictly prohibited. This is something that companies like VISA and Mastercard impose on individuals engaging in sex work if they want to use their services.
Another important content creator on the platform, Maitland War, has gone further. Claiming that “it perpetuates the stereotype that sex workers lack moral principles and would do anything for money”, she has attacked not only the representation of OnlyFans but also her profession.
If we add to this the lukewarm reception of the season, it seems that Euphoria is no longer the darling it was in its first two seasons. Its multiple reviews, controversies involving cast members, and now problematic narrative lines make its future seem shaky. Something that seemed impossible just a few months ago, but is becoming clearer: Euphoria was once a phenomenon, but it seems it no longer has what it takes to maintain its popularity.

After forty years of censorship, Warner Bros. has decided to bring back The Devils, one of the most controversial films in history. Directed by Ken Russell and released in 1971, the film takes place in 18th century France where a priest, Father Grandier, has very unorthodox ideas about violence and sex that a novice becomes enamored with. Bringing disaster to the entire town of Loudun when that occurrence leads to a witch hunt.
A faithful reconstruction of the author’s idea
Although the film is brilliant and has a sharp sociopolitical commentary, it was not liked at all by English censors, who for years have banned its exhibition in its singular form. Even though the film was a success: it was the fifth most viewed film of 1971 and, over the years, it has ended up receiving a cult status that few other films have achieved.
Now at Warner Bros. they have made a 4K version based on the last edition made by Ken Russell before his death on November 27, 2011, with the intention of releasing it in theaters. Scheduled for release on October 17, they have confirmed that the film will also be released on Blu-ray and that there will be reasons to watch it again, besides the possibility of seeing it in theaters: it will not only be an uncensored version, but it will last 114 minutes, as opposed to the 111 minutes of the commercial version we have now.
Stating that this “is the uncut and unfiltered version of the theatrical experience that Russell always had in mind,” it seems that this is the perfect opportunity to see one of the greatest cult films in the history of English cinema. And to reclaim the peculiar figure of Ken Russell.

The League of Legends community is in the midst of controversy following the implementation of alternative controls based on the WASD scheme, introduced by Riot Games in a December 3 update. This change, designed to make the game more accessible to new players, has sparked a series of negative reactions that raise serious doubts about its effectiveness.
WASD was not ready for LOL
Riot announced in August the adjustment as a way towards a more intuitive experience for those coming from other video games with conventional PC controls. However, the first impressions suggest an imbalance in gameplay that has generated discontent among users. While WASD allows for easier positioning, many players have noticed that it compromises advanced techniques like ‘animation cancelling’, which could affect the competitiveness of certain roles within the game.
During a testing period, the developer implemented a nerf to the attack speed for characters using the WASD control. According to players and analysts like Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, this modification has harmed high attack speed champions, leading to a notable reduction in efficiency. A user on the League of Legends subreddit pointed out that the WASD scheme presents a significant DPS loss, especially for high-speed champions.
Despite the setback, Riot has expressed that an adaptation period will be necessary for both players and their balance team, with the aim of fully assessing the impact that these new controls have on the game. The developers have assured that tests are being conducted with new players and that, although WASD is only part of the integration process into League of Legends, its future in competitive modes will be considered.
Accompanied by controversy since its first trailer, we explain why Stellar Blade, the new PlayStation exclusive, has sparked so many opinions.
Some games make headlines even before they are released. Perhaps it’s because they do something special, involve people with certain renown, or come accompanied by controversies. The latter being the most unpleasant and, in general, less beneficial for the game.
Stellar Blade is an action and adventure video game developed by Shift Up and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Stellar Blade is a game that was released today, April 26, exclusively for PlayStation 5. With generally positive reviews, this action game developed by SHIFT UP Corporation and distributed by Sony has been more in the news for its main character and some technical issues than for the game itself.
The biggest controversy that has accompanied the game since its first trailer is the design of its main character, Eve. With a completely idealized feminine design, for many people she is a completely sexualized character, offensive to women and bordering on pornography. The studio behind the game defended themselves by stating that the protagonist is based on a real woman, the South Korean model Shin Jae-eun, from whom they took her body to create Eve’s.
While the game director, Kim Hyung-tae, claimed that his intention was to “create a beautiful body to satisfy the users,” and that it was based on this model, the reality is slightly different. Eve’s body is an exaggerated version of Shin Jae-eun’s, highlighting her curves and putting her in extremely provocative outfits and poses for no reason. This is something that the studio has the right to do, but for obvious reasons, it does not help to argue against the allegations that the game portrays an unrealistic representation of the female body and is essentially a male sexual fantasy.
In this regard, it has not helped that a certain part of the public took these criticisms personally. Generating movements that even define themselves as Gamer Gate 2, there have been not only criticisms of journalists who have pointed out the sexualization of the character, but even death threats. Muddying any possible critical discussion about the game, by claiming that there is a desire for censorship that does not exist.
Another controversy, albeit minor in comparison, has been the fact that the game has a half-second input lag. This means that there is a half-second delay from when we press a button until it takes effect on the screen. Something that in a fast-paced action game like Stellar Blade makes it difficult to play at times, especially against multiple enemies at the same time. The game director has responded to this by saying that it is an intentional design decision. Something questionable when the day one patch notes claim that the game’s input lag has been fixed.
Unfortunately, the controversies don’t end here with Stellar Blade. Also, a day before its release, a screenshot of the game went viral. In it, Eve was standing in front of a graffiti that said Hard, next to a sign of a store called R. In the US, Hard R is a racist expression, because of how racist people pronounce the word with an N. This has led Sony to apologize and confirm that they will remove that graffiti with the day one patch.

The problem with all these controversies is that they have diverted attention from whether the game is good or not. With mixed reviews, indicating that it is a game with interesting aspects, but also some weak points, Stellar Blade has ended up receiving more attention for its questionable decisions and the confrontational attitude of its director.
