The second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has caused a stir among fans, not only for the new content it presents but also for the visual quality it promises. Rockstar Games has revealed that much of this trailer was recorded using the PlayStation 5, suggesting that the game will reach impressive graphical standards at its launch, scheduled for May 2026.
The dream of playing the game at 4K and 60fps is not dead
Additionally, the company Sony is developing a revolutionary technology called PSSR, aimed at improving image quality and performance of video games on the PS5, with capabilities reaching up to 4K at 120 FPS and 8K at 60 FPS. This improvement in visual technology would not only benefit GTA VI, but also has the potential to elevate other titles to the highest graphical level available on the console.
It has been whispered that a second version of this technology, known as PSSR 2, will allow the PS5 Pro to achieve even more impressive graphics starting from a base resolution of just 864p, scaling thanks to an artificial intelligence algorithm. The leaker Moore’s Law is Dead indicates that this improvement also aims to optimize game performance, removing the limit on the frames per second and thus allowing for a smoother gaming experience.
With the expected implementation of PSSR before the release of GTA VI, it is anticipated that the game will not only meet the high expectations regarding gameplay but could also provide a graphical quality that surpasses what has been seen so far. The details shown in the trailer may only be a glimpse of the real potential that this new title from Rockstar will offer to players with the PS5 Pro.

Rockstar Games has unveiled new images and details about the protagonists of Grand Theft Auto 6, revealing the chemistry between them in a second trailer that has captured the attention of the gaming community. The trailer was accompanied by a significant update on the game’s website, which includes information about the character cast and map regions, such as the exciting Mount Kalaga National Park.
A game where we will encounter the usual wildlife of GTA
Located on the northern margins of Leonida, a parallel universe of Florida, Mount Kalaga promises to offer players a variety of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and hiking. The images shown depict a vibrant environment, with kayakers navigating rivers and camouflaged hunters moving among the pines. The representation of wildlife stands out, including a Leonidan panther, leading to speculation about the possibility of selling wildlife products in the game, which could add an interesting economic component to gameplay.
However, Mount Kalaga is not just a natural paradise. Rockstar suggests that “mystical hillbillies” and “paranoid radicals” inhabit the rural areas, which could add an additional layer to the game’s narrative. Although these archetypes may evoke stereotypes that the saga has explored previously, the inclusion of stranger elements raises questions about how these characteristics will be addressed in the context of the game.
Players, especially those who have enjoyed the grandeur of the natural environment in GTA 5, might find Mount Kalaga a popular destination that allows them to escape the hustle and bustle of Vice City. With so many curiosities at play, speculation about how these elements will be integrated into the experience of Grand Theft Auto 6 is rampant, and will surely capture the attention of fans in the coming months.
GTA 6 is the new installment of the action-adventure sandbox in an open world by Rockstar Games. Wrapped in expectation and mystery, the sixth Grand Theft Auto marks the return of this legendary franchise 10 years after GTA 5 was released. Although little has been confirmed about the gameplay or the release date of this new GTA, everything seems to indicate that we are facing what will be the most expensive game in history. Still, with each passing day, new rumors and juicy leaks are coming to delight the entire gaming community. Would you like to know more? This is everything we know about GTA VI to date.
GTA5 is still a fantastic game that is worth revisiting. That doesn’t change the fact that it is a game that is almost 12 years old and its age shows. Seeing what GTA 6 is capable of makes it impossible not to dream about what Rockstar is cooking up and the possibilities its world will offer and being able to try it out already. Especially after its incredible second trailer. And although it’s not the same, it is true that it is possible to have something similar to that experience, at least if we have a computer capable of handling it. All thanks to the […]
GTA5 remains a fantastic game that is worth revisiting. That doesn’t change the fact that it is a game that is almost 12 years old and shows its age. Seeing what GTA 6 is capable of makes it impossible not to dream about what Rockstar is cooking up and the possibilities its world will offer and being able to try it out already. Especially after its incredible second trailer. And while it’s not the same, it is true that it is possible to have something similar to that experience, at least if we have a computer capable of handling it. All thanks to mods.
That’s why we bring you a selection of 8 mods so you can play GTA5 as if it were GTA6. At least in terms of pure engine power. It won’t change any of its story or characters, but graphically and mechanically it will make so many changes that you’ll feel like it’s a completely different game. Much more modern. And believe us: you’re going to need a more than decent computer to run all this at the same time.

With this mod you will be able to change all the shaders of the game. What does that mean? It means you will drastically change how the game’s lighting works. Now it will be much more realistic and will make the entire game feel much more modern and grounded in reality. That said, it will demand a lot from your computer, so you better keep that in mind. Because as we add more things, it will be harder for your poor processor. Not to mention your graphics card.
This mod is quite simple, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t require explanation. With it, we manage to eliminate chromatic aberration and lens distortion, meaning we will stop seeing the game with all the post-processing effects that give it a more cinematic look. This aims to provide a cleaner and more realistic effect that many people appreciate because it makes it look more modern. Especially with mods like the previous one.
All the work so far would be useless if by nightfall the night sky remained the same, and this mod changes that. Offering us a starry night, with its Moon, much more defined and better integrated. Something that gives the whole a much more solid appearance and, in general, provides that quality look that makes it easier not to break immersion in the game.
If you have a widescreen monitor, you need this mod to be able to see the game taking advantage of the entire screen. If not, it will also help you to have a greater drawing distance. That is, to be able to see even further than the game normally would allow. A small delight that adds something we didn’t know we needed: being able to see more of Liberty City.
Don’t you miss that, with all the dedication that goes into the game, the cars don’t deform more and better? Well, that’s what this mod does. It destroys your car in every imaginable way and conditionally based on the impacts it suffers with this mod to add that extra realism you need. Or maybe, because you enjoy smashing things. We don’t judge.
Speaking of cars, let’s not kid ourselves: the cars in GTA5 handle quite poorly. Thanks to this mod, the cars now handle much better, creating significant differences between them. Additionally, if you want, you can make your character put on a seatbelt and have the police behave more aggressively behind the wheel. Because it can’t just be about the cars driving well, you know?
To top it all off, let’s put the cherry on the cake. How about the game’s traffic AI not being a mess? That would be cool, right? Well, that’s what this mod does exactly. Drivers will behave in a more realistic and varied way with this mod, making it feel more natural to drive through the city. Although that will also make it easier for you to have traffic accidents. But we agreed that you enjoy things with these ultra-realistic graphics, so what better way to kill time until the arrival of GTA6?

Rockstar has just released the second trailer for GTA6. Although it is still purely cinematic, without showing us any gameplay, it already gives us a glimpse of some of its dynamics. Pure Vice City, very focused on its main couple and with what seems to be huge set pieces typical of a big Tom Cruise action movie. Which we think is great. But since they just delayed it until next year a few days ago, let’s not kid ourselves, we are left wanting more. But that’s what we’re here for. But that’s what we’re here for. To recommend a series of games that you can buy and play right now and enjoy while waiting for GTA6, which is set to release on May 26, 2026. Six games that won’t be GTA 6 but we can assure you are fantastic and will make that wait much shorter.

Sleeping Dogs
The best GTA-style game. Better than many GTAs and, depending on who you ask, the best GTA ever made, even without being called GTA. Why? Because its combat is excellent, its driving is exceptional, its story is incredible, and the recreation of the city of Hong Kong is simply amazing. Sleeping Dogs is one of the best games of its generation, and no one has managed to replicate what it achieved. Not even GTA, in many ways. And that’s why it’s on this list and at the top: because Sleeping Dogs is the king, and no one can deny it.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
It may not have the depth of GTA, but what does it matter when all the characters you control come from the best television series of all time? The Simpsons: Hit & Run is like a good season of The Simpsons turned into a video game, with all the craziness of a GTA and even the original voice acting from the series, so we can’t say there isn’t extraordinary care put into it. Could it look better? Obviously. It’s a game from the PlayStation 2 and GameCube generation. That’s why we always ask for a remaster. Because a The Simpsons: Hit & Run that looked just like the television series is a game we would never stop playing.
Saints Row 2
The craziest gang game in history managed to take the GTA formula and make it its own. How? By doing what GTA does, but even more outrageous. There are more explosions, more violence, more madness, and more sex. Hitting gang members with giant dildos? Attacking your enemies with rocket launchers while jumping from skyscrapers? Missions to blow up entire neighborhoods? Of course. If GTA has always been a satire of the USA, Saints Row is what happens when you turn the volume of the satire up to 12. Including breaking the speaker and making it sound pretty bad in later installments.
Mafia
Although it has never achieved the same relevance as the Rockstar franchise, Mafia is one of its most advanced disciples. With a more realistic approach set in the 1920s, it puts us in the shoes of a mobster who must climb the ranks within the dangerous world of Italian-American mafia. Frustrating due to the rigidity of its simulation, especially in traffic laws, but fascinating in terms of atmosphere and stories, Mafia remains a captivating game and franchise. A much more mature and cinematic approach than GTA.
Yakuza 0
Although we do not recommend starting the franchise with this installment, but rather with the first one, Yakuza 0 demonstrates that a Japanese version of GTA can be made. Because Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has been making games in the Yakuza franchise for over 20 years, showing that you don’t need giant cities or cutting-edge graphics to create incredible games that stay in the hearts and minds of players. You need memorable places and characters that you will never forget and always want to spend more time with. This is something that Yakuza and GTA have in common, and it is the reason why you should dive into this legendary franchise if you haven’t done so already.
Lego City Undercover
We have saved the most peculiar example for last, because it is likely to shock many people. What do you mean a LEGO game? And on top of that, you are a police officer? Well, yes, indeed. Because LEGO City: Undercover is an excellent action-adventure game in the style of GTA, made by LEGO, where you can find everything you would expect from a game of this kind. Driving, action scenes, missions, and collectibles are present in a game that is much more contained, both in violence and size, but serves as both an excellent first approach and a great reminder of what we love about the genre. In other words, perfect to make the wait for GTA6 a little shorter.

After the second trailer of GTA6, we are even more eager to play the game. If that’s even possible. Although it is true that it doesn’t clarify much more about the game, something does seem obvious: the game is going to be very focused on its main couple. On how they are a couple, on how they commit crimes together, and how that affects their lives in one way or another. On how they are a couple, on how they commit crimes together, and how that affects their lives in one way or another. And we find that very interesting, among other things, because we have already seen it.
Because yes, we are going to talk about movies that have already told stories of couples united in love and crime. Great stories from Hollywood, but also from other countries, that deal with the same themes as this GTA6. And that have very likely inspired it. Because anything that shortens the time until this game is released, on May 26, 2026, will be welcome.

With a script by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott, this movie where Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette play a couple who are together through thick and thin, you shouldn’t miss it for a good reason. It has all the good elements of a Quentin Tarantino film as well as all the good elements of a Tony Scott film. In other words, it feels like a GTA movie, only directed as a true psychotronic delirium.
Quentin Tarantino never runs out of ideas, because he also wrote the script for this impressive film by Oliver Stone. Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis have a very particular chemistry on screen, especially when what drives them to crime is having to free themselves from their horrible personal situations. A brilliant analysis of violence and how it is treated in the media that would not be out of place in GTA. And it wouldn’t be surprising if it served as direct inspiration for GTA6.
There is no criminal drama more remembered than the one starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis. And not without good reason. This road trip between two friends that ended in a one-way trip to hell is the great feminist story about sisterhood and also about how to tell the authorities to take a hike when they don’t want to imprison you for doing what needed to be done. A film that is still exceptional today and one of the best films by its director, the brother of the aforementioned Tony: Ridley Scott.
Bonnie and Clyde easily became famous both for the kind of actions they undertook and for the fact that, in cinema, they were portrayed in 1967 by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. If two of the most handsome actors in Hollywood history, under the direction of the excellent Arthur Penn, make a biopic about your life, it’s normal for you to end up going down in history. And we shouldn’t be surprised if the somewhat sardonic style has influenced GTA in some way.
It’s all laughs until Terrence Malick shows up to get existential. Badlands is a neo-noir story where two young people are brought together by fate and against their families. Much more tragic than any of the other films on the list, it is here to serve as a contrast. If what you love most about the GTAs are their darker and more reflective moments, when emotions and the game’s aesthetics seep through to tell something, Badlands is your movie. Although we warn you: after watching it, you might not be the same.
Talking about movie couples united by crime and not mentioning the great French criminal couple of Jean Luc Godard feels not only like a waste but also an insult. Of course, this is not your typical Hollywood movie. If you expect a classic crime story or a Hollywood romance, you won’t find it here. But if you expect a series of seemingly absurd adventures that ends in a great explosion, both physical and emotional, worthy of the most absurd moment of any GTA, then yes: there is something for you here.
To finish, nothing beats talking about the classics. Shakespeare. Well, more or less. This version by Baz Luhrmann is like any adaptation by Baz Luhrmann: an absolute sacrilege of everything that is sacred in this world. But at least in Romeo + Juliet, he does it with a certain purpose and grace. By making it contemporary and turning it into gang wars, it gives a rather interesting new meaning. It may be the worst movie on this list, but it is also a movie that feels like GTA. Excessive, explosive, absurd. And sometimes that’s all we ask for from fiction.

Leslie Benzies, former producer of the famous Grand Theft Auto saga and current founder of Build A Rocket Boy, has presented the first gameplay trailer for his upcoming game, MindsEye, which will be released this summer. Set in a futuristic world, MindsEye explores a narrative where artificial intelligence and human greed threaten to bring Earth to the brink of collapse. The protagonist, Jacob Díaz, has a neural implant that causes him disjointed flashbacks of his past and plunges him into a quest to uncover the truth behind his story.
A game that aims to improve everything that was lacking in GTA
The trailer, which was revealed during the PlayStation State of Play event, highlights third-person action, combining elements of shooting, vehicles, and drones. However, what has caught the most attention from viewers are the impressive scenes of car destruction, which seem to be a hallmark of the gaming experience. Some critics suggest that Benzies, after his time in GTA, might be channeling his frustrations towards vehicles in his new project.
Despite the visual and mechanical similarities to titles like Cyberpunk and Watch_Dogs, MindsEye promises to offer a unique experience. In a press release, it is mentioned that the game will be developed within the universe of Everywhere, a previous project that aimed to be a multiverse gaming experience, although its current status remains a mystery. Could it be that the release of MindsEye occurs before Everywhere is ready for the public? This aspect has sparked curiosity and speculation among fans.
In a broader context, this revelation also highlights a shift in the video game industry, which has changed its focus from the ‘metaverse’ to artificial intelligence as the new trend in technological development. This change reflects the ever-changing dynamics of the sector and the search for innovations that captivate players.

The gaming community has rated Grand Theft Auto VI as the most anticipated video game of all time, partly due to the prolonged wait since its announcement. During this time, fans have turned to rumors, leaks, and statements from former Rockstar developers to gather information about the anticipated title.
The Much-Desired 60fps, Impossible at Launch
According to Mike York, a former developer who worked on titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 is expected to be released on current generation consoles, such as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a target performance of 30 FPS. In a recent interview, York emphasized that the studio might prioritize stability and visual quality over frame rate in the initial version of the game. “I don’t think they will be able to achieve 60 FPS from the start on a base console like the PS5,” York said.
Video game technology experts, such as analysts from Digital Foundry, agree that maintaining stable 60 FPS on the initial console version will not be feasible. It is anticipated that only PC players will be able to experience the game at 60 FPS, once optimizations are implemented and new graphics cards are released in the future.
The former developer also mentioned that, although the initial version might operate at locked 30 FPS, there is a possibility that performance will improve over time. “Once the game is available on PC, it will probably be optimized and able to run at 60 FPS,” added York. This perspective suggests that Rockstar will focus on providing a high-quality experience before trying to increase the frame rate in future updates.

Take-Two is one of those companies that does much more than it seems. Although they are especially known for being the parent company of Rockstar, the developers of GTA, they are actually a company with a large catalog of companies and IPs. They have a significant impact on the industry throughout the year and not just when they release the event game of the decade every time Rockstar completes it. Each time more slowly. That’s why it’s so interesting to see their latest quarterly results. And so concerning.
Let’s start with the good news. GTA6 has not suffered any delays and its release is still scheduled for the fall of 2025, leaving us with approximately a year until we can enjoy the game. This has not changed since the last time we heard something about the game, and we should celebrate it: a delay a year before the game’s release is very common, and the fact that it hasn’t happened means that the development is stable and they are not encountering any kind of production problem that needs to be addressed radically.
The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, in an interview with CNBC talked about how to decide the release date of a game, shedding light on how they do it. For example, deciding what number of bugs are reasonable in a bug at the time of launching the game, since perfection is something more subject to subjectivity than objectivity.
Here come the bad news
These statements were the preface to something that may give us a 2025 less celebratory than we expected. And a 2024 darker than it already is. While announcing that GTA6 continues its progress without issues, Take-Two also announced that it was closing Private Division, its indie video game publishing division. Having published great successes like Kerbal Space Program 2, OlliOlli World, or Penny’s Big Breakaway, this feels like a great loss for the diversity of video games. And what reasons have they given for closing this publishing branch? Not that it didn’t make money, but that it didn’t make as much money as they wanted.
This sets a terrible precedent that could well end up affecting GTA6. Rumors about the budget being handled for the game suggest it might be the most expensive game in history. And it’s not far-fetched. With the massive success that was GTA5, it’s expected that the expectations of executives and investors for GTA6 are sky-high. And this could mean that GTA6 might become the best-selling game in history and at the same time, the biggest failure in history for not meeting its publisher’s expectations. A fear that becomes even more real, seeing the latest moves by Take-Two, and makes us worry about the health of the industry.
GTA 6 is the new installment of Rockstar Games' open-world action-adventure sandbox. Shrouded in expectation and mystery, the sixth Grand Theft Auto marks the return of this legendary franchise 10 years after GTA 5 hit the market. Although little has been confirmed about the gameplay or release date of this new GTA, everything seems to point to it being the most expensive game in history. Even so, with each passing day, new rumors and juicy leaks delight the entire gaming community. Would you like to know more? This is everything we know about GTA VI to date.
We are all waiting for the release of GTA6. We are all aware of the money that Rockstar makes with each new installment of its flagship franchise. It is impossible not to know that it is the best-selling game in the world, the income it generates, and why it is the most successful cultural product in the history of humanity. However, something is hindering Rockstar’s negotiations with the artists they work with.
At least this appears to be the case, according to Martyn Ware, a member of the group Heaven 17, a band best known for being a founding member of The Human League. The group gained some popularity in the 80s thanks to their song Temptation. Although they never achieved the success of bands like New Order, The Psychedelic Furs, or Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, they had some influence in the scene. It’s logical that Rockstar is interested in their most popular song, but it hasn’t sat well with the Martyn Ware.
It’s been reported that he received an email from Rockstar Games offering to have Temptation appear in GTA6. He was offered $7,500 in exchange for all rights to the song, with no possibility of obtaining royalties.
As is evident, the figure has seemed insulting. With previous titles making billions of dollars, $7,500 for the license of a single song is, at the very least, a rather poor offer. Rockstar licensed more than 240 songs for their previous release, GTA5. And that probably won’t prevent them from getting a similar figure for this new release, even if it seems to be having problems.
Of course, the value of work always has a subjective component. What is undeniable is that paying less than 0.0001% for the song license is insulting. That is why we will not be the ones to judge Martyn Ware, nor will we defend Rockstar Games. We are sure they will have no trouble finding other musicians willing to accept their offer, whatever it may be. And it is positive that Ware is aware of the value of his work, which is not paid with any amount of exposure.
