A modder has taken his passion for the world of video games to another level by creating a trilogy of giant maps for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5). Aiming to expand the game world in a way that Rockstar Games has not yet done, FV Mods has released three new locations that transform the gaming experience into a varied virtual landscape.
An entire trilogy within an old game
The first map, Oldburries, features a fictional rural area of Canada, with fields, pine forests, and a village that seems to be the destination of a journey guided by an unreliable navigation system. Secondly, Largo Hillio combines a national park and a racetrack on an island connected to the mainland by a majestic suspension bridge. Finally, the European Highway Project offers a vast eight-lane road that simulates a transcontinental journey, designed for those who want to experience life in Europe without leaving the game.
One of the most exciting features of these maps is that players can load them all at the same time, allowing them to move between them. This transforms GTA 5 into a kind of flight simulator, where players can land in a quiet Canadian town, all while enjoying an experience that is both creative and unique.
FV Mods has expressed its desire to take the world of GTA 5 further, arguing that although the game is already a decade old, that doesn’t mean its map should remain static. This effort by a single creator reflects the players’ restlessness over the long wait for the anticipated GTA 6. With this trilogy of maps, fans can experience a new adventure, while the future of the famous saga remains uncertain. Furthermore, for now, there are no rumors about a specific release date for GTA 6, which makes this community-created expansion even more relevant.

It is expected that Grand Theft Auto VI will cost around 100 euros, which has sparked intense debates among analysts and developers about the viability of this price in the current landscape of video games. Louise Wooldridge from Ampere Analysis has pointed out that GTA 6 is “probably the most anticipated game of all time,” while Michael Pachter from Wedbush Securities expects the game not only to reach this price but also to become one of the most profitable in history.
Get ready to pay 100 euros
Estimates suggest that the development costs of GTA 6 could exceed $1.5 billion, including marketing campaigns. The analysis indicates that, over its lifetime, the title could generate up to $10 billion, in addition to $500 million annually through GTA Online. This is presented in a context where the perception of video game prices has changed, with many special and collector’s editions raising the average cost to figures above $60 or $70 in recent years.
The possibility that GTA 6 could cost 100 euros has been discussed by some investors and analysts, although not everyone shares this opinion, with critics arguing that the success of GTA 5 at a more accessible price could motivate Rockstar to opt for a lower pricing strategy. Historically, GTA 5 had editions that reached very high prices, such as the collector’s edition at 149.99 euros, which suggests that GTA 6 could follow a similar trend, with prices aligning with current inflation.
Despite the skepticism about the 100 euro threshold as a base price, the market continues to view GTA 6 as a phenomenon that will attract both passionate and casual buyers, which could influence Rockstar’s long-term pricing strategy.
GTA5 is still a fantastic game that is worth revisiting. That doesn’t change the fact that it is a game that is almost 12 years old and its age shows. Seeing what GTA 6 is capable of makes it impossible not to dream about what Rockstar is cooking up and the possibilities its world will offer and being able to try it out already. Especially after its incredible second trailer. And although it’s not the same, it is true that it is possible to have something similar to that experience, at least if we have a computer capable of handling it. All thanks to the […]
GTA5 remains a fantastic game that is worth revisiting. That doesn’t change the fact that it is a game that is almost 12 years old and shows its age. Seeing what GTA 6 is capable of makes it impossible not to dream about what Rockstar is cooking up and the possibilities its world will offer and being able to try it out already. Especially after its incredible second trailer. And while it’s not the same, it is true that it is possible to have something similar to that experience, at least if we have a computer capable of handling it. All thanks to mods.
That’s why we bring you a selection of 8 mods so you can play GTA5 as if it were GTA6. At least in terms of pure engine power. It won’t change any of its story or characters, but graphically and mechanically it will make so many changes that you’ll feel like it’s a completely different game. Much more modern. And believe us: you’re going to need a more than decent computer to run all this at the same time.
GTA 6 is the new installment of the action-adventure sandbox in an open world by Rockstar Games. Wrapped in expectation and mystery, the sixth Grand Theft Auto marks the return of this legendary franchise 10 years after GTA 5 was released. Although little has been confirmed about the gameplay or the release date of this new GTA, everything seems to indicate that we are facing what will be the most expensive game in history. Still, with each passing day, new rumors and juicy leaks are coming to delight the entire gaming community. Would you like to know more? This is everything we know about GTA VI to date.
With this mod you will be able to change all the shaders of the game. What does that mean? It means you will drastically change how the game’s lighting works. Now it will be much more realistic and will make the entire game feel much more modern and grounded in reality. That said, it will demand a lot from your computer, so you better keep that in mind. Because as we add more things, it will be harder for your poor processor. Not to mention your graphics card.
This mod is quite simple, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t require explanation. With it, we manage to eliminate chromatic aberration and lens distortion, meaning we will stop seeing the game with all the post-processing effects that give it a more cinematic look. This aims to provide a cleaner and more realistic effect that many people appreciate because it makes it look more modern. Especially with mods like the previous one.
All the work so far would be useless if by nightfall the night sky remained the same, and this mod changes that. Offering us a starry night, with its Moon, much more defined and better integrated. Something that gives the whole a much more solid appearance and, in general, provides that quality look that makes it easier not to break immersion in the game.
If you have a widescreen monitor, you need this mod to be able to see the game taking advantage of the entire screen. If not, it will also help you to have a greater drawing distance. That is, to be able to see even further than the game normally would allow. A small delight that adds something we didn’t know we needed: being able to see more of Liberty City.
Don’t you miss that, with all the dedication that goes into the game, the cars don’t deform more and better? Well, that’s what this mod does. It destroys your car in every imaginable way and conditionally based on the impacts it suffers with this mod to add that extra realism you need. Or maybe, because you enjoy smashing things. We don’t judge.
Speaking of cars, let’s not kid ourselves: the cars in GTA5 handle quite poorly. Thanks to this mod, the cars now handle much better, creating significant differences between them. Additionally, if you want, you can make your character put on a seatbelt and have the police behave more aggressively behind the wheel. Because it can’t just be about the cars driving well, you know?
To top it all off, let’s put the cherry on the cake. How about the game’s traffic AI not being a mess? That would be cool, right? Well, that’s what this mod does exactly. Drivers will behave in a more realistic and varied way with this mod, making it feel more natural to drive through the city. Although that will also make it easier for you to have traffic accidents. But we agreed that you enjoy things with these ultra-realistic graphics, so what better way to kill time until the arrival of GTA6?

The gaming community has rated Grand Theft Auto VI as the most anticipated video game of all time, partly due to the prolonged wait since its announcement. During this time, fans have turned to rumors, leaks, and statements from former Rockstar developers to gather information about the anticipated title.
The Much-Desired 60fps, Impossible at Launch
According to Mike York, a former developer who worked on titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 is expected to be released on current generation consoles, such as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a target performance of 30 FPS. In a recent interview, York emphasized that the studio might prioritize stability and visual quality over frame rate in the initial version of the game. “I don’t think they will be able to achieve 60 FPS from the start on a base console like the PS5,” York said.
Video game technology experts, such as analysts from Digital Foundry, agree that maintaining stable 60 FPS on the initial console version will not be feasible. It is anticipated that only PC players will be able to experience the game at 60 FPS, once optimizations are implemented and new graphics cards are released in the future.
The former developer also mentioned that, although the initial version might operate at locked 30 FPS, there is a possibility that performance will improve over time. “Once the game is available on PC, it will probably be optimized and able to run at 60 FPS,” added York. This perspective suggests that Rockstar will focus on providing a high-quality experience before trying to increase the frame rate in future updates.
