The highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 4 was confirmed in 2022, but since then, Square Enix has maintained a prolonged silence regarding the game’s development. The last significant update dates back to May of last year, when some screenshots were shared, ending a three-year drought of information. Fans have been eager for news, but are now only fueled by small hints and speculation.
Kingdom Hearts 4 could be closer than we think
Recently, actor James Woods, known for voicing Hades since the first installment of the game and the animated movie Hercules, posted a somewhat ambiguous tweet that has sparked speculation. In it, he mentioned that he had finished recording something new, which some fans have interpreted as a possible connection to Kingdom Hearts 4. However, this statement lacks concrete details.
It is important to warn the community that, while Woods’ comment may suggest that the work is progressing, there is no clear evidence to support it. For now, the information remains vague and Square Enix has avoided providing clarifications on the matter. The director Tetsuya Nomura himself has indicated that more significant updates could be expected until next year.
The previous experience of Kingdom Hearts fans reminds them that they have been here before: in November, a simple image of Haley Joel Osment, the voice of Sora, sparked speculation that led to no real news. With this in mind, followers are advised to temper their expectations and seek alternatives in other JRPGs while waiting for updates. Hopes for Kingdom Hearts 4 remain alive, but patience will be key.
Since its arrival in early access, Hades 2 has surprised players with an innovative narrative structure that features two ‘true’ endings: one focused on Melinoe and the other on Zagreus. This narrative flexibility reflects Supergiant Games’ willingness to listen and adapt to player preferences, as confirmed by Greg Kasavin, the company’s creative director. “Our post-launch patch was created in response to player feedback,” Kasavin stated. Since its early access launch, Hades 2 has surprised players with an innovative narrative structure that features two ‘true’ endings: one focused on Melinoe and the other on Zagreus. This narrative flexibility reflects Supergiant Games’ willingness to listen and adapt to player preferences, as confirmed by Greg Kasavin, the company’s creative director. “Our post-launch patch was created in response to player feedback”, Kasavin stated.
Players are always right
The evolution of Hades 2, similar to its predecessor, is based on the idea of development in Early Access, allowing the game to grow and change based on the experiences shared by the community. The narrative not only focuses on action but also explores the repercussions of the passage of time on deities and heroes, addressing how different decisions can alter the course of history.
With the inclusion of varied endings, Hades 2 reinforces the notion of personal choice, allowing players to decide which version of the story resonates most with them. “There is a philosophical poetry in this, even if it’s incidental”, added Kasavin, explaining that the studio aims for the project to continuously evolve. This narrative flexibility also reflects a commitment to enhancing the gaming experience, which has led critics to consider Hades 2 as an exceptional continuation that captures the magic of the first title while practically improving all its aspects.
The Hades community remains active and eager for the possibility of future developments. However, according to Kasavin, there are no defined plans to add more endings in the immediate future. Still, players continue to enjoy the rich experience that this game offers, which stands out as one of the favorites of the year.

The highly anticipated roguelike from Supergiant Games, Hades 2, has received a massive update that includes over 5,000 words of patch notes, known as The Invisible Update. This third major patch marks an important milestone in the development of the game, which has been in early access for over a year. The developer has announced that it is starting to prepare for the final release, which will include the true conclusion of Melinoë’s story.
They want everything to be in its place for the game launch
Despite the excitement generated, a release date for version 1.0 has not yet been confirmed. However, Supergiant has promised to provide more information in the future and has thanked players for their patience during this process. The main focus for the final release will be to complete the narrative of Melinoë, without the inclusion of new regions or encounters, allowing for a phase of polishing and balancing of existing skills.
Developers have also confirmed that achievements will be added to the game, which is good news for players, as it will not be necessary to start from the beginning to unlock these new goals. As the early access phase comes to a close, Supergiant Games emphasizes its commitment to delivering a game that is not only a worthy sequel to the successful original Hades, but also the largest, most replayable, and feature-rich to date.
On the other hand, it has been revealed that Hades 2 will be released first on the Switch 2 console, where developers hope to enhance the game’s graphical features. With this move, fans can expect a visually stunning experience on this new platform.
We still don’t know when Hades II will be released, but we already know some details about the promising sequel to one of the most famous indies of recent years.
We can’t think of many games that are more anticipated than Hades II. The sequel to Supergiant Games’ game is generating unusual excitement for an indie game, given the success of its first installment. Therefore, it shouldn’t surprise us that every little detail that has appeared about the game has been eagerly devoured by its fans.
We are one of those fanatics. That’s why we bring you a compilation of everything we know so far about Hades II. Because along with the latest news, it’s much more than it seems.
First and foremost, it is important to note that there is currently an ongoing technical test for Hades II on Steam. If you wish to play the game before anyone else, you can register on the game’s Steam page. However, luck will be a determining factor. Many people are signing up and these types of tests are always limited, so only a few will be chosen. As a first small group of selected players has already demonstrated.
Aware of the interest it generates, Supergiant Games conducted a three-hour live stream on April 17th showcasing the content that can be played in the technical test of Hades II. And although it’s only three hours of a game that potentially will last more than 30 or 40 hours, there is a lot to talk about.
One thing we can talk about the least is the combat. From what we have seen in this first approach, the game’s combat remains very similar to the first one. The more detailed scenarios and a greater contrast of colors make it easier to see the projectiles, but in general terms, it seems that it has not changed particularly. Something that we will have to wait for in the future to know in detail.
What we do know is that the protagonist, named Melinöe, will not only fight and talk to the other gods of Olympus. She will also be able to fish and engage in agriculture, with which she will obtain different rewards, including passive benefits for the runs. Although we still don’t know all the details about it.
Where we do have very juicy information, in addition to much more, is in the characters. We have a new protagonist, the aforementioned Melinöe, whom we will get to know not only as a young adult, but also as a child. Known characters return, some of them with a significant redesign. The complete list of known characters that return includes Hades, Zeus, Demeter, Poseidon, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hypnos, and Charon.
Among the new ones, in addition to Melinoë herself, we have already seen twelve new characters. These are Hecate, Moros, Apollo, Nemesis, Dora, Cronos, Odysseus, Hestia, Hephaestus, Selene, and Arachne. Among the community, the designs of Hephaestus, Hecate, and Moros have caused a special impact. And we can’t say we don’t understand why.
Just like in the previous version, these characters will not only be part of the game’s narrative, but they will also grant us different powers when we encounter them in our matches. Integrating them within the game’s own systems.
Regarding the scenario, we should not expect big changes. Not when we are still in the underworld. The reason is that, after the events of the first game, Cronos, the titan of time, has escaped from his imprisonment, has captured Hades, and has started a war against Olympus. It is the duty of Melinoë, princess of the underworld, to dive back into the land of the dead to challenge, and only after a few failures, defeat the forces of Cronos.
Although the story will unfold later in the interaction with the characters, we still don’t know more details about it. But considering the number of characters, new and already known, we are sure that it will have more than enough content for those who want to see it all.
About when you can play and where, we know everything except the most important thing. Its release date. For now, you can sign up for the technical test on PC, which will last between one week and one month. After that, the game will be released in early access exclusively for PC. Its official release will happen around one or two years after its early access release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
The autumn Steam offers have arrived: we tell you the best deals, so you don’t miss any of the best offers on video games
We know you’re busy with Black Friday. That you’re scrutinizing every discount, that no offer less than the best will do. But trust us. Steam has started its autumn sales, and there are deals worth considering. Even if they’re not the biggest bargains you’ve ever seen in your life. Just good deals. A good bargain. The best deal you’ll be offered for the remainder of the year. And we’re going to convince you of that.
For many people, 2023 will be the year when CD Projekt finally fixed Cyberpunk 2077. Why not join the celebration? At half price, it offers us, for the cost of its DLC, dozens of hours of a game that now works as it always should have. Do you have another 30 euros in your pocket? You have their DLC, Phantom Liberty, which adds another many hours of content. If not, by the time you finish this, it’ll probably be 50% off in the next sales.
Maybe you’ve already had your fill of Cyberpunk 2077. Perhaps your taste in video games leans less towards the mainstream. If that’s the case, you’re not alone. “The Silver Case” isn’t just the game that marked the debut of a legend like SUDA51; it’s also an avant-garde visual novel that, to this day, remains incredibly smart, unsettling, groundbreaking, and experimental. All this without forsaking the decadent and ‘no future’ tone that many anticipated from Cyberpunk.
“Hades” was the 2020 Game of the Year. So why not grab all the games from the studio? “Bastion” is a marvel that encapsulates everything that “Hades” would develop later on, “Transistor” evolves from that formula, and “Pyre” lays the groundwork for attractive characters and tragic narratives that would make “Hades” popular. All this at a 71% discount. Haven’t convinced you? Well, then there’s always “Hades” at a 50% discount.
We won’t hide it: we didn’t have high hopes for this remake. We thought the original, while not perfect, hadn’t aged in a way that a remake could do it justice. But it seems we were wrong. If you want to play one of the most terrifying and visually spectacular games of the year, you can get it at half price, with just as much terror.
If it weren’t for 2023 being a year packed with great games, “El Paso, Elsewhere” would have sneaked into more than one or two Game of the Year nominations. Resurrecting the formula of classic Max Payne games with a tale of breakup between a vampire hunter and a vampire, it draws from Twin Peaks, from Max Payne, from all those times your heart’s been broken, to craft a game with short but excellent levels. All to tell a compelling story with the best shooting mechanics of the year.
There’s no better way to wrap things up than with a heavyweight. In this case, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition comes with a 75% discount, nearly hitting the 10 euro mark. And what does it offer? Dozens of hours, a marvelous open world, a protagonist you can’t help but love, and the knowledge that its sequel will arrive on PC sooner rather than later. A game where, if you enjoy adventure, action, or open-world games even a bit, you can’t go wrong.
The best game of 2018 comes to Netflix, but with one but: it only does it for iOS platforms, without a specific date, and with no intention of doing it for Android
Some games have an immortal aura. No matter how many years go by, they continue to be considered the best games of each year. Every year. They have a very loyal, broad, and vocal audience that is always eager for news about the game, possible sequels, or, when possible, some kind of port or new content. Because the game, for one reason or another, has become the game of their life.
That’s why it’s big news that Supergiant Games has announced a version of Hades for iOS devices. Although we’ll still have to wait until 2024 to enjoy it on iPhone and iPad, exclusively through Netflix Games, we already have some details about this port. For example, it’s being co-developed by Supergiant Games themselves in collaboration with Secret6, a studio that has previously worked as a support studio on titles like Monster Train or Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the studio, Hades for iOS will be an extremely faithful version of the PC and console game, with all the speed and surprises we’re used to in Hades. One of the most noteworthy aspects is that it will feature fully customizable touch controls designed specifically for this port. However, for those who want an experience closer to the original, they’ll also be able to use a wireless Bluetooth controller to play it as if it were a console.
Other things they’ve confirmed are that it will allow saving game progress in the cloud and will have its own achievements. Unfortunately, saved game files won’t be shareable with other versions of the game.
Apart from that, Hades doesn’t have a specific release date beyond 2024. Additionally, at least for the time being, it will be exclusive to Netflix on iOS, so it won’t be available for purchase on the App Store or Android platforms.
Hades II, in early access form, will arrive in 2024, although not without a small delay, which is accompanied by good news.
Few games are more anticipated than Hades 2. Its first installment was a resounding success, to the surprise of both the studio and fans. The studio’s previous games were excellent but had gone relatively unnoticed in terms of public reception. However, Hades exploded in popularity from the very beginning. This has led them to be more cautious with its sequel. Knowing the high expectations people have, they have decided to release it as an early access title. With some bad news about it.
The early access release of Hades 2, which will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, has been delayed until the second quarter of 2024. Before its launch, there will be a technical test, which is also scheduled for the same timeframe. Originally, the game was intended to release its early access in the first quarter of 2024.
However, these bad news come with some juicy details that compensate for the extra wait. To begin with, the technical test will have much more limited content compared to what we will see in the early access. Moreover, with the early access, they intend to achieve two things simultaneously: polish the game with player feedback and advance the story and character relationships with each new update. Thus, it’s not just an early access but also somewhat an episodic version of the game within the early access.
While they don’t know how much it will cost to launch version 1.0 of Hades 2 and exit early access, they are currently focused on creating all the content to make the early access satisfying to play as a complete game on its own. So, even though we still don’t know its release date or price, one thing is certain: Hades 2 aims to be even bigger than its predecessor.
