What’s coming for Apex Legends in its version 2.34?

Apex Legends is one of the most popular games in recent years, with thousands of players connecting daily to spend time in its servers. Several articles have been dedicated to providing tips for players in this digital realm. This high level of engagement from the player base raises the bar for Respawn Entertainment, its development team. Consequently, updates to bring new content or fix bugs are a regular occurrence. On this occasion, a set of corrections has been introduced, most likely to be appreciated by the community, as they address issues caused by the last event held at the end of September.

A series of unexpected problems

With the latest Apex Legends Collection Event, Omens, which ended a few days ago, players noticed the introduction of a new limited-time mode, an altered version of World’s End, and a plethora of exclusive collection items and skins. However, despite the event bringing some balance adjustments and bug fixes, the community is experiencing new bugs. This is actually quite common in this type of game, so ongoing maintenance is necessary.

The latest update addresses bug fixes that players have encountered in recent weeks. One of the most noticeable issues was on the Nintendo Switch, where blurry graphics appeared after the 18.1.0 update. Another problem was related to missing text associated with some buttons, even though the buttons were still functional. Additionally, the replay systems could cause the game to crash, which was a more serious issue.

These are just three of the most reported issues, but there are several more awaiting a solution, such as stuttering when playing at over 165 frames per second or a crash under the code FS_CheckAsyncRequest during map loading. However, with a bit of luck, all of these issues will be resolved very soon.

The overall theme of these games is simple: you will be abandoned on a map where you must survive while eliminating the rest of the opponents. Whether as a team or individual, a Battle Royale game only comes to an end when there is only one team or player left alive.

If you love battle royale games, you need to give PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds a try. “PUBG” was huge until gamers were able to play Fortnite for free. Luckily, PUBG got the memo, and now you can play PUBG legally for free! Here’s how…

How to download PUBG free for PC

So far, PUBG has only been free in its mobile version, generating frustration among PC and console users.

With the overwhelming success of Fortnite Battle Royale, PUBG Corp has decided to stand up to Epic Games with its free version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. This one is called PUBG Lite and in a similar way to Fortnite Battle Royale, it is a version with fewer features than the full title but it offers all the options of Battle Royale confrontation between players.

In addition to being completely free, PUBG Lite has been optimized to offer a much more fluid gaming experience than its full version. In fact, this has always been one of the big complaints of fans of the game on Steam who were disappointed with the performance of the title unless you have a very powerful PC.

At the moment, PUBG Lite is in beta, offering the maps Erangel and Miramar, with three game types: alone, duo, or squad of four.

Downloading PUBG Lite for free is very simple. For this, you just have to access the website by clicking below and click on the Download button. Alternatively you can download it under these lines. Once this is done you, just have to double-click on the installer and start enjoying.

Apex Legends quick gun reference sheet reveals weapon stats

Which weapon will serve you best in Apex Legends? Check out this chart!

If you’ve been cleaning house in Season 2 of Apex Legends then you already know there have been some big changes made since last season. There’s new Ranked Leagues to grant in-game rewards to competitive players, a newly transformed Kings Canyon, a shocking new Legend added to the roster, and another hinted to follow sometime soon.

If that’s not enough to shake up the game, Esports Host and Twitch Partner JetSetJamerson just put out an incredibly useful bit of information that players have been wondering and debating about since release: A quick gun reference sheet that displays everything you’d want to know about any weapon in the game. It’s especially useful since Season 2 has changed many of the weapons. If you think you know what’s good, it may be worth your while to take another look:

Apex Legends Quick Gun Reference Chart Season 2

Unfortunately, the chart is missing a few details, such as how long it takes to kill with a particular gun (taking into account details like DPS vs RoF), but there’s still a ton of info here, even including body shot damage vs a hit to the leg or head (looks like body shots do slightly more than leg, while head shots deal almost twice as much damage as either).

Apex Legends Wingman
Spoiler: The Wingman still dominates.

If you’re one of the many players who’s been dissing the Mozambique, take a good look at what happens once you mod it with a Hammerpoint! If you’ve got the backpack space for them, you might consider sacrificing a few for hop-ups; they’ll radically change up your game. Check out this detailed video for a full breakdown!

Big thank you shout-out to JetSetJamerson for creating (and editing) this awesome chart.

Let us know in the comments below whether this changes up the way you’ll be playing Apex Legends in Season 2, and we’ll see you in Kings Canyon!

Tetris gets a battle royale mode for some reason

Tetris 99 is being adapted into Tetris Royale for mobile and it is going to be crazy!

Tetris Battle Royale

As the likes of Apex Legends and Fortnite: Battle Royale continue to take the world by storm it is clear that the battle royale formula is here to stay. It seems there is just something about squaring up against players all over the world that is attractive to us gamers.

It doesn’t all have to be guns, bombs, and explosives though. Battle royale games don’t have to be about fights to the death. Yes, it is all about the last gamer standing, but that doesn’t mean everybody else has to be dead, they could simply be eliminated. When you think about it like this, there are many more titles out there that could get the battle royale treatment.

We recently covered an unofficial Super Mario battle royale game, which pitched players against each other in a race to the end of a level from Super Mario Bros. Unfortunately, with Nintendo being Nintendo, this game has already been taken down, but we have some news of an official battle royale game, based on an old Nintendo classic, that is coming to mobile soon.

Tetris 99 is being adapted into Tetris Royale for mobile

When the Nintendo Switch launched the world was blown away by how much power was packed into Nintendo’s little touchscreen device. Despite all that power though, and a plethora of impressive Switch games, one of the most fun and addictive games to hit the latest Nintendo handheld has been Tetris 99. For those that haven’t played it, it’s a manic and modern update on the classic Tetris formula.

Tetris 99 pits you against 99 other Tetris players in a battle to be the last player standing. The dynamics of the war come from sending garbage blocks to your various opponents whenever you clear multiple lines at once. You also have to deal with similar attacks coming your way from all the other players around you. The action is fast, the action is crazy, and the action is coming to your mobile.

Tetris Royale is the mobile port of Tetris 99 that is coming to both Android and iOS soon. As well as the standard 100 player mode from Tetris 99, Tetris Royale is also getting a few other game modes and features to keep mobile players satisfied. These include daily challenges, power-ups, customization options, and the chance to earn and use special boosters in battles.

Wrapping up

There is no word about pricing or when Tetris Royale will hit the Play Store and App Store. However, according to a press release from games company N3twork, who’ve teamed up with The Tetris Company to develop Tetris Royale, the game will go into beta testing this year. This means that we have a maximum of six months to wait before the crazy fun of Tetris 99 hits our mobiles in one form or another. Beware though, this one could be extremely addictive.
