Tom Cruise has once again demonstrated his dedication by performing high-risk action scenes in the Mission Impossible franchise. In Mission Impossible 2, released in 2000 and directed by John Woo, Cruise played Ethan Hunt in an iconic climbing sequence at Dead Horse Point, Utah, where he is seen performing impressive feats, such as the famous move known as Iron Cross. However, few know that Cruise filmed this scene while having a broken foot, a fact he kept secret during production.
Tom Cruise decided to do what Tom Cruise does: a crazy thing
Despite facing adverse weather conditions, including 40 days of rain and hurricane-force winds, Cruise insisted on keeping the original sequence of the film. In a recent interview, the actor shared his frustration over the studio’s attempts to change the film’s opening due to the bad weather. After much pressure, he decided he had to take the risk and film the sequence. “I thought: ‘Let’s go to the top of the mountain and start shooting,'” Cruise recalled.
The actor’s dedication to his work doesn’t stop there. Throughout the Mission Impossible saga, Cruise has performed other memorable feats such as climbing the Burj Khalifa, executing a HALO jump, and holding his breath underwater for six minutes. His commitment to action scenes has helped define the franchise’s identity and raised audience expectations.
Fans of Tom Cruise and the series are eager to see the culmination of Ethan Hunt’s story in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which premieres in Spanish cinemas on May 23. This film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, promises more adrenaline-fueled moments and action that have characterized the saga for three decades.

Developed by Archetype Entertainment, a studio made up of former members of BioWare and with the collaboration of certain co-developers from Halo, the game promises to recapture the essence of the great RPGs from BioWare’s golden era. Among its ranks is the talented Matthew McConaughey, who will lend his voice to one of the characters in the title.
In Exodus, players will take on the role of Jun, a Wanderer who embarks on space expeditions in search of celestial technology to save humanity from an uncertain future. As they progress in their adventure, players will make critical decisions that will affect both the game’s narrative and their relationships with non-player characters. The story explores deep moral dilemmas, emphasizing personal sacrifice and the consequences of choices.
A game where decisions matter
The decision-making system that characterized series like Mass Effect will be integrated into Exodus, promising dynamic relationship development and protagonist customization. The game scenarios will include worlds with extreme climates and dangerous ruins, and players will face the Celestials, an evolution of humans who perceive their ancestors as primitive beings.
Although there is still no announced release date, Archetype Entertainment has begun generating additional content to keep expectations high. Sit has been revealed that they are working on a series for Amazon Prime, as well as a series of texts that delve into the game’s universe. These efforts suggest that Exodus is set to be a powerful and evocative experience in the realm of sci-fi RPGs.

Halo saga fans have reasons to celebrate with the recent update of Halo Infinite, which has brought back the Firefight Classic mode, originally from the acclaimed Halo 3: ODST. This long-awaited return allows players to relive the excitement of facing endless waves of enemies in a rounded format, where a team of four players must overcome sets composed of five waves.
The return of a highly anticipated classic for fans
In Firefight Classic, players share a total of seven lives, which means that strategy and teamwork are crucial. If the team runs out of lives, the mission ends, although there is the possibility to conclude a session at the end of a set, as long as at least two teammates head to the “complete mission” area to be extracted. This option adds a new level of tension and decision-making to the gaming experience.
To increase variety in each match, each set adds a new Skull in rounds two and three, introducing variations that can change the dynamics of the battle. Additionally, players have access to a wide variety of maps crafted with Forge, including remakes of classic scenarios like Alpha Site and Security Zone from Halo 3: ODST, as well as Courtyard from Halo: Reach.
The update called Operation: Blue Team not only brings Firefight Classic, but also includes new maps, such as Nemesis, as well as the new PvP mode Hot Swap and a revamped battle pass. These additions ensure that Halo Infinite remains a relevant title full of content that appeals to both veterans and new players.

This mod is an expansion of the acclaimed Halo 3: ODST, released in 2009, and its narrative is set after the events of Halo 3, promising to take the story in a new direction.
Despite the fact that the Halo series has not had the same impact in recent years, it remains one of the most iconic properties in video game history. Although Halo Infinite has faced ups and downs since its release, it has shown significant improvements over time. With the recent rebranding of 343 Industries to Halo Studios by Microsoft, the company seems determined to revitalize the franchise.
Halo New Covenant is in the final stages of development, with three of its four missions already complete and scheduled for release on January 29, 2025. Fans of the game will be able to download this expansion exclusively for PC through the Halo 3: ODST Steam Workshop. This release strategy reinforces the potential of the modding community, which continues to be a vital source of new and exciting content within the Halo universe.
Microsoft has not yet said anything about its future plans with Halo
Meanwhile, players who are not PC users can still access the franchise through an Xbox Game Pass subscription, allowing them to enjoy games like the Master Chief Collection, while they await the arrival of new adventures in the Halo universe. With the future of the game in the balance, the Halo community continues to show strong commitment and enthusiasm towards the series, hoping that recent changes in its development will lead to positive results in the coming years.
Back in 2009, with the Halo saga at the height of its glory and its third installment having appeared just two years earlier, Bungie decided to launch a completely different game from what was expected of the saga: a spin-off titled Halo Wars that almost immediately caused consternation and divided fans between those who appreciated the attempt to do something different and those who demanded Halo 4. Back in 2009, with the Halo saga at the height of its glory and its third installment having appeared just two years earlier, Bungie decided to launch in grand style a game completely different from what was expected from the saga: a spin-off titled Halo Wars that, almost immediately, caused consternation and divided fans between those who appreciated the attempt to do something different and those who demanded Halo 4. And among everyone, in general, the same complaint: Where on earth was Master Chief? Had Bungie forgotten about him? Well. Not exactly.
Today we learned, after 15 years of speculation, that it was not an oversight by the studio, but a decision made completely consciously. “We didn’t want to use the Master Chief. We needed you to care about everyone else. We believed that the moment Master Chief made his appearance, people wouldn’t care about anything else“. And they are certainly right.
And no, of course, it wasn’t easy to make a game like this. In fact, they asked themselves several times how to turn their FPS into a real-time strategy game, and how to make the Spartans not necessarily the best unit: “Our challenge was to make them an equal option compared to the rest of the units. That’s what a strategy game is”.
Of course, Master Chief returned later in more games than we can list (and was part of the undeniable decline of the saga, which has been stalled since Halo Infinite), but, even though it initially received a somewhat lukewarm reaction, Halo Wars also ended up having a sequel and proving the team behind it right. After all, who needs Master Chief to make a great game?
It is very common for studios to create demos for specific events. Especially if they are large. Although it is becoming less common, an E3 certainly warrants making a unique demo exclusively to be played during the event. Even if something has to be created from scratch. Offering a bit of everything the game can provide, even if it won’t make it to the final version, so that journalists and perhaps a handful of players can see the studio’s vision of what the game will be. It is very common for studios to create demos for specific events, especially if they are large. And that’s what happened in 2003 with Halo 2.
Bungie, for E3 2003, decided to create a demo that would encapsulate everything the final game would be. Everyone who got to play it was amazed by it. The problem is that, like almost all demos of this kind, it was created solely and exclusively for its exhibition at this event. This means that outside of E3 and Bungie’s offices, it has never been playable, creating a sort of legend. Until now.
Halo Studios together with Xbox Games Studios have decided to release this legendary demo as a free mod for Halo: The Master Chief Collection through Steam Workshop to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game on next Saturday, November 9th.
What awaits us is something we only know from videos, magazine comments, and internet forums. So the experience of playing it, finally, more than 20 years later, is a true fantasy for any self-respecting Halo fan. A gesture of affection that shows that video games are better when made with passion.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an action game developed by 343 Industries, Splash Damage, and Ruffian Games, and published by Microsoft Studios. The action game is a curated collection of every main Halo games published in the market since 2001.
Beyond his conservative ideals – which may sound familiar: blaming immigrants, a too large government, and the lack of family values – he has tried to win over gamers.
At first, Martin O’Donnell’s name probably doesn’t ring a bell unless you’re a die-hard fan of Halo. This 69-year-old man, a former member of Bungie, composed the soundtrack for iconic games such as ‘Oni’, ‘Destiny’, or the ‘Myth’ saga. And now, retired from the industry after being fired in 2014, he has decided that it is the best time to apply everything he has learned… by running for the United States Congress.
And it turns out that O’Donnell will run for election as a Republican in Nevada, trying to take Susie Lee’s place, who is currently holding that position. Beyond his conservative ideals – which may sound familiar to you: blaming immigrants, a too big government, and lack of family values – he has tried to win over gamers. The result has been… confusing.
“I am a gamer, so I am going to win. And I am not going to lose because someone thinks they can spend more money than me, because they can’t”. I guess he expected popular applause, but not even the biggest fans of the Master Chief have understood what he means. In the end, he ended up saying “What I see happening in Congress is a peaceful walk compared to playing ‘Halo 2’“. I’m not sure he won any votes with this, to be honest.
As seen in the trailers, the Covenant soon proves him right, and that means he has to find the key to save humanity or…
The Paramount television series, based on the Halo video game saga, is one of the best science fiction productions of recent years. We loved the first season and the second one looks like it will also make us thrill on the couch.
Compared to the first trailer we saw earlier this year and the images from a teaser trailer that was released in December, the new trailer is much shorter: it lasts just one minute, compared to the two minutes and something of the trailer that was released earlier this month.
What we expect from season 2
It’s a little less epic, but there are new images of some spectacular aerial battles, as well as Covenant plasma shields and swords attacking humans in Reach. And it ends with the original game’s choral music, which never fails to give me goosebumps.
Pablo Schreiber returns to embody Master Chief, John-117, and we hope that most of the original cast will join him as the Chief leads his team of Spartan soldiers to fight against the Covenant.
This is how Paramount explains it: “After a shocking event on a desolate planet, John can’t shake the feeling that his war is about to change and he risks everything to prove what no one else will believe: that the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold”.
As seen in the trailers, the Covenant soon proves him right, and that means he has to find the key to save humanity or destroy it: the Halo.
That’s as far as the plot is revealed, but it seems like we’re going to see a race between the Covenant and Master Chief to reach and control the world of the Halo ring in all its destructive glory.
A player harassed the community manager of a major multiplayer game and justice will make him think twice about doing it again.
Many people believe that being a horrible person on the Internet has no consequences. And we’re not just talking about occasional insults. We’re referring to individuals who engage in persistent harassment, death threats, and behaviors that would be considered serious crimes and incompatible with being a functioning member of society in any other circumstance. That’s why it’s good news to discover that Bungie, the creators of Halo and Destiny 2, have taken action when one of their employees has been involved in such circumstances.
Jesse James Comer has been ordered to pay $500,000 to Bungie for orchestrating a harassment campaign and revealing personal information about a Bungie community manager after the manager praised the work of a content creator of color. According to the court of Washington State, Comer began by making threatening phone calls to the personal phone of the Bungie CM, and then continued with his spouse. This escalated to a later incident where he ordered a “disgusting, virtually inedible pizza” from Domino’s, instructing the delivery person to call at least five times and stating he would pay in cash upon arrival. This was a way of demonstrating to the Bungie community manager that he knew their address and could go after them if he desired.
Comer documented all of this in a Steam group called terr0rgang, which maintains a collection of sound files classified as “ear rapists” and is allowed for use by its members as part of their terror campaigns. Comer utilized this only hours after sending the pizza.
After the pizza incident, Bungie took action. They sent “executive protection” to ensure the safety of their community manager and their family, hired private investigators and external advisors to identify and bring Comer to justice. Once his identity was known, they pursued legal action, which resulted in a half-million-dollar fine. This substantial amount will deter Comer from engaging in similar actions in the future and will set a precedent for other similar cases. The next time someone considers such behavior, judges will have a verdict to rely on. And $500,000 is not an amount of money that many people can afford to pay for the sake of amusement or “lulz.”

Xbox Series X and S have starred in one of the most successful launches we’ve seen for a Microsoft console. Both platforms have sold out worldwide, and millions of gamers are already testing the extraordinary potential of this new generation of video game consoles. But a console needs more than just power to be a top seller. It also needs a full selection of games that you can play to enjoy all it has to offer.
If you still can’t decide between the PS5 or the Xbox Series X/S, then keep reading, because this article is for you! Today we’re going to tell you about the new Microsoft consoles’ launch games, exclusive titles and upcoming games that have been confirmed so far. We hope it helps you to choose your new console!
First of all, what is Smart Delivery?
One concept you need to understand before we reveal our list of new Xbox titles is Smart Delivery. With this innovative system, Microsoft’s new consoles take games from a lower platform, such as Xbox One, and optimize them for the new technology. In other words, if you purchase a title with Smart Delivery for Xbox One, when you buy the Xbox Series X/S you’ll have the same title for free but adapted for the new console. This means remarkable image and performance-related upgrades and much faster loading times.
Xbox Game Pass: Microsoft’s Secret Weapon
One of the most important features of Xbox Series X and S is Game Pass, a subscription service that many have already dubbed “The Netflix of video games.” According to one of the directors of Xbox Game Studios, the new Microsoft consoles won’t have exclusive games until at least a year after their launch. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy video games on them. In fact, gamers can look forward to playing them like never before thanks to this on-demand video game service.
For just €12.99 per month (and € 1 for the first month), any Microsoft console, PC or Android mobile device user can access to more than 150 games from the company’s ecosystem as well as a library with the best Electronic Arts titles. Bethesda games are expected to join the catalog shortly. You can find out all the details about Game Pass here.
