The creators of Genshin Impact have opened registrations for the beta testing of their new game

HoYoVerse has opened registration for the second closed beta of its new game, which also has a new trailer showing more of the game

HoYoVerse has been on a winning streak so far. Everything they touch turns into gold, from their huge success with Genshin Impact, and it’s not without reason. Their character design, regular updates, exceptional game mechanics, and relatively fair monetization make their games truly unique. Something no one has managed to imitate so far. That’s why, when there’s a new announcement from HoYoVerse, all we can do is pay attention.

Zenless Zone Zero DOWNLOAD

In this case, HoYoVerse has announced that registrations have opened for the second closed beta of their upcoming game, Zenless Zone Zero. The game will be available for PC, Android, and iOS, although the exact dates for this beta are still unknown.

Accessing this beta will be quite straightforward. You’ll just need to visit the game’s official website and register with a HoYoVerse account. However, if you’re eager to join the beta, there are ways to maximize your chances. It’s possible to increase your chances by completing a series of tasks listed on the website.

The game, on the other hand, deviates from what HoYoVerse has done so far. As an action RPG, it immerses players in an urban, cyberpunk-themed environment where they must combat enemies. While it may bear some resemblance to Genshin Impact, it incorporates a vibrant color palette reminiscent of games like Devil May Cry, with elements characteristic of hack’n’slash games.

Taking advantage of this new closed beta, HoYoVerse has released a three-minute trailer showcasing some new aspects of the game. Additionally, if you’re interested in this beta, you should note that it will require at least 40GB of free space on PC, 17GB on iOS devices, and 15GB on Android devices. A fairly substantial amount for a beta, but one that fans of MiHoYo’s games are willing to make room for.

A PC cooled with human blood? It exists, but it demands a sacrifice to the Devil first

Although PCs with liquid cooling are already a common occurrence, it is not so common that the liquid they cool with is human blood.

Anyone who has seen the size of the most advanced graphics cards on the market knows that liquid cooling is necessary unless you enjoy having stoves or unintentional fires. That’s the reality. The level of potential and energy consumption of our PCs has reached unsustainable levels for common fans if we want to maintain reasonable sizes. But what we never expected is that liquid cooling could lead us to a situation where we could use our own blood to prevent our computer from overheating.

Diablo 4 DOWNLOAD

That’s the case with Blizzard’s latest campaign for Diablo IV. Anticipating the release of the game’s new season, Blood Harvest, they have decided to collect blood from all their fans. Specifically, they aim to collect 666 quarts of blood, which is approximately 630 liters of precious life-giving liquid.

But why? Basically, to create a computer with a liquid cooling system that uses real human blood. According to their website, the specifications of this computer are quite impressive. It features an Intel Core i9-13900K, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, a 3TB Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. Additionally, the computer is designed in a black and red color palette inspired by Diablo, complete with Season of Blood graphics.

Everyone who donates blood from now until November 20th at 11:59 PM, or until those 666 quarts of blood are collected, will be entered into the draw. And just for participating, all donors will receive in-game prizes in Diablo IV. However, you have to be in the USA to participate. Diablo has chosen to acknowledge only his American followers on this occasion.

The creative director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has revealed where the game ends: there are another 100 hours to come

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will end at the most remembered point of Final Fantasy VII, which makes us suspect possible twists in the game.

RPGs tend to be long games. They aim to tell a story, often with many characters and involving decades or centuries of consequences from ancient acts, and that takes time. Just ask Final Fantasy. A franchise known for its short games that expand beyond 30 hours when you go straight to the main campaign. That’s why, although we’re excited about the announcement of the release date of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, we’re also worried. Worried about asking ourselves a question. How long will this game last? And the game’s creative director has answered us.

Steam DOWNLOAD

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part of the remake trilogy of the original Final Fantasy 7. This means that this game will not conclude the story, and therefore, we don’t know where it will end. However, we have Tetsuya Nomura to clarify, and he has explained in an interview on the PlayStation blog how far it will go.

According to him, the game will conclude in The Lost Capital. Those who have played the original game might be breaking into a cold sweat right now. It’s understandable. One of the most iconic events in the game takes place there. However, since Final Fantasy 7 Remake has substantially changed the story compared to the original game, it raises the question of whether the fate of our characters will be the same at the end of this Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Because things can change.

Especially because Nomura has clarified that they have changed many things along the way. We won’t be visiting Wutai until the next installment of the game, and the order of other important locations will be changed. That’s why it’s not possible to know the exact content of the game, but from what is implied and what we could see in the trailer, it would be strange if there were less than 100 hours of content to complete the entirety of the game.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released on February 29, 2024, on two discs. Its first part, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Not only has no one heard about the launch of NBA 2K24, now the players are launching it

NBA2K24 has passed without pain or glory with its launch, and it would have been better if it had continued like this: those who have played say that it is a chestnut.

Many companies believe that nothing will harm their reputation, that no matter what they do or what practices they employ, people will continue to buy their games. And this is often true in the short and medium term. However, trust, while hard to lose, can also be eroded over time. That’s why it’s not surprising that if a franchise consistently makes questionable decisions, it will eventually face consequences.

Steam DOWNLOAD

That has been the case with NBA 2K24. According to Steam 250, a website that tracks the top 250 and bottom 100 rated games on Steam, the latest iteration of the 2K basketball game is currently ranked second on one of these lists. And it’s not the list the developers would want.

NBA 2K24 is the second-worst rated game on Steam right now. With “Overwhelmingly Negative” reviews, with only 11% of them being positive out of over 2,900 accumulated reviews, the game, which was released on September 8, hasn’t had a good start. This is quite surprising, but not excessively so, given the average score it has on Metacritic: a 67. This is a terrible score for a franchise that has historically maintained ratings above 80 and only once dropped just below that mark, with the infamous NBA 2K21 scoring a 68.

What has led to such negative reviews? Essentially, it’s the developers’ negligence. The PC version is based on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions rather than the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, which means it comes with certain compromises. The graphics are outdated, it lacks several game modes, and overall, it’s been treated as a lesser version of the game. When you add to that the very aggressive monetization in the game, the low ratings become self-explanatory. Even if 2K doesn’t like them.

Final Fantasy XVI has some news for us: all of them are paid, and only one will make your morning happier

Naoki Yoshida has confirmed new information about Final Fantasy XVI, ensuring that the game will continue to receive content.

No Final Fantasy game is truly finished once it hits store shelves. Between re-releases, DLCs, expansions, new versions, and new stories, there isn’t a single game in the franchise that hasn’t had at least some form of update or enhancement from its original release. Of course, Final Fantasy XVI is no exception, and as such, we now have some news about it. Only one of them is unquestionably positive.

During the recent PAX West 2023, held from September 1st to 4th, there was a conference where Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida spoke. In that conference, he confirmed several things about the game’s future, including that it will have two paid DLCs.

Steam DOWNLOAD

Ensuring that the studio has been attentive to player feedback, the idea is for people to be able to spend more time in Valisthea, the game world of Final Fantasy XVI. However, we still don’t know much about these DLCs, as Yoshida himself has confirmed that he hopes to share more about the DLC before the end of the year.

On the positive side, he also announced that a free update would be released shortly after the conference. Modifying aspects of the arcade mode, fixing numerous bugs, and addressing some cosmetic issues, they continue to gradually improve the game.

This announcement helps with the big reveal that Yoshida made. As we already knew, he confirmed that Final Fantasy XVI’s exclusivity is only for six months, and the production of the PC version is already underway. While there are no specific dates yet, he hopes to share more information before the end of the year. This gives us hope for the future of this game, which may have disappointed some at launch but still promises to become a great game.

Daring Heist of the Year: 780 Intel Processors Intercepted en Route to China

Life is very complicated so what I do is steal about 1,000 processors and I try to sneak them through customs in my country: that’s what some thought…

It hasn’t been even three weeks since we last heard about what seems to be a Chinese pastime: attempting to smuggle technology into the country without paying taxes.

TikTok DOWNLOAD

And we now have to add another incident to the list. This time, nearly 1,000 Intel processors valued at over $137,000 have been discovered hidden in the engine compartment of a cross-border bus.

Tom’s Hardware reports that this recent attempt was thwarted as the smugglers tried to pass through the Gongbei Port, connecting Macau and Zhuhai in China.

Selling Next-Gen Processors and Evading Taxes: Their Aim

Customs officials became suspicious when examining digital images of a cross-border bus. A closer inspection revealed that it had been modified to conceal contraband items, specifically 780 Intel processors this time.

Reportedly, the CPUs were relatively recent models, including 12th-generation Alder Lake chips and 13th-generation Raptor Lake chips. The entire haul is estimated to be valued at over one million yuan, approximately $137,341. This translates to an average value of around $176 per CPU.

We’ve witnessed various imaginative ways of evading Chinese customs inspections. Most individuals tie hardware to their bodies, while incidents have also involved 84 SSD units hidden on a scooter and 200 CPUs concealed in a fake pregnant belly.

An individual attempted to smuggle 30 million Hong Kong dollars (around 3.8 million USD) worth of electronic products through the Man Kam To checkpoint from Hong Kong to mainland China, simply by lying about the contents of the transported boxes.

In April, reports disclosed that the total value of all smuggled hardware introduced into China and subsequently seized by customs officials had reached an astonishing sum of 4 million dollars.

This figure only accounts for the detected contraband. The actual value, including items that might have gone unnoticed, is likely much higher.

Selling anything in China without paying import taxes can yield lucrative profits for smugglers. Many individuals in the country are willing to purchase hardware despite the lack of warranty, as it’s often much cheaper on the black market.

Unveiling the Truth: Ratchet & Clank Gameplay Challenges the Importance of Sony’s Super SSD

Sony and Insomniac Games insisted that the PlayStation 5 SDD was necessary for Ratchet & Clank, but its requirements on PC say otherwise.

Both Sony and Insomniac Games swore upon the release of Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart that it was an impossible game outside of PlayStation 5 because its transitions, integral to its gameplay, would be absolutely impossible without an SSD hard drive of the console’s integrated quality. We believed it because we have no reason to distrust it. Now, with the PC version very close to its release, we have the minimum, recommended and superior technical specifications of the game, which besides giving us the image of a very demanding game, also shows us that perhaps Sony and Insomniac Games did not tell us the whole truth.

Asking for a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon RX 470, an Intel Core i3-8100 or an AMD Ryzen 3100 and 8GB of RAM, and for a recommended NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700, an Intel Core i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and 16GB of RAM, these are relatively modest specs for gaming. Something similar happens as long as we want to stay in 4K 30FPs, with or without raytracing, for which the mid-high range will still be able to keep up, but if we want to play in 4K 60FPs with raytracing we better have a latest model computer and a good cooling system, both for the computer and for our room, if we do not want to end up living the end of Oppenheimer even before its premiere.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart BUY NOW

In any case, the striking thing is in what it asks for hard disk space. Particularly in minimum. Asking for 75GB of hard disk space, it demands only an HDD hard disk, although an SDD hard disk is recommended. This is doubly problematic. On the one hand, it shows that the SDD was not necessary to move the game. On the other hand, that there are no specifications for what the SDD should look like in higher configurations, shows that the importance they placed on its release on PlayStation 5 was perhaps not as much as they intended to sell us.

This is not a drama. In fact, it’s a good thing that you don’t have to upgrade your computer to play Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart. But being a game that was used to sell the goodness of the PlayStation 5’s SDD, it’s questionable to say the least that the hard drive wasn’t really necessary to move it.

Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart will be released on PC on July 26, 2023. And while you won’t need an SSD to play it, even if Sony and Insomniac Games said otherwise in the past, it’s still recommended that you have one.

Sony breaks exclusivity barrier: Blockbuster PlayStation 5 game now available on PC

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart comes to PC, with a very close date and with the promise of putting our computers to the limit.

Sony has discovered that its main franchises perform well on PC. That’s why it shouldn’t surprise us that they are gradually making their way to PC, spacing out releases and taking advantage of their extensive catalog to deliver all the pending titles. The latest example of this is their recent announcement that the formerly exclusive Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released on PC on July 26th.

Playstation DOWNLOAD

Originally released on June 11, 2021, for PlayStation 5, this game from Insomniac Games puts players in the shoes of one of Sony’s most iconic duos. Winning numerous industry awards, selling over a million copies in less than a month, and achieving a score of 88 on Metacritic, it is an outstanding game that showcased the technical capabilities of the PlayStation 5 while taking the gameplay of the franchise, a blend of 3D platforming and third-person shooter, to a new dimension. It’s worth noting that Sony itself claimed it was a PlayStation 5 exclusive due to the game’s reliance on an SSD, making it seemingly impossible to run without one.

This PC release will delight not only fans of the franchise but also anyone eager for a solid, visually stunning AAA game that dares to innovate with its mechanics and the technical possibilities of the new generation. While this console generation has yet to fully take off, and the potential of the new graphics cards along with it, we are confident that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, will push your computer’s components to their limits.

Protect Your PC: Experts Warn Against These 8 Windows Programs, Including Silverlight

Get rid of outdated programs, bloatware and junk that affect the performance of your PC

Silverlight is an application development platform created by Microsoft. It emerged as an alternative to Flash and was once widely used by streaming content sites. However, with the passage of time and the arrival of HTML 5, Silverlight has passed away, being used by only 0.02% of web pages. Even so, this Microsoft application is still taking up space on most computers, so why not uninstall it?

Similar to Silverlight, many unnecessary programs have become zombies on every Windows 10 and 11 computer. These are basically divided into bloatware and outdated apps that are still installed by default on every PC. To help you free up space and protect your data, in today’s article we’re going to give you a selection of Windows apps that you should uninstall. We hope they help!

1. QuickTime

A few years ago, if you wanted to enjoy high quality videos, you had to turn to QuickTime. The MOV format coined by Apple offered not only high image quality, but also high sound quality. To open this type of file, it was advisable to use the QuickTime video player. However, in 2016 TrendMicro announced that the popular video player was full of vulnerabilities that could put users’ computers and data at risk.

Given Apple’s refusal to make any changes to the QuickTime player for Windows, it is advisable to uninstall this programme from any PC. Does that mean you have to give up the MOV format? Of course not! As an alternative, we recommend using VLC Media Player, an exceptional free media player that allows you to play this and any other format without any problems.

2. Adobeflash

Adobe Flash was killed off in January 2021 when it was blocked by the majority of browsers on the market. Poor security, a long history of vulnerabilities, poor performance and high battery usage were just a few of the key factors in saying goodbye to the plug-in. If you still have it installed, we recommend that you remove it from your computer right now. Don’t know how? We explain it step-by-step in our guide to uninstalling Adobe Flash.

3. Adobe ShockWave

In a similar way to Flash, the ShockWave plugin is no longer supported by Adobe in 2019. It can no longer be downloaded from Adobe’s website and virtually no websites still use this service. We know that if you are nostalgic and love Flash games, it is hard to say goodbye to these classics. However, both Flash and ShockWave are useless nowadays, except for leaving an open door on your PC for possible malware.

4. Microsoft Silverlight

As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, Silverlight is a web application development platform designed to run rich Internet pages. As a product of Microsoft, it enjoyed strong popularity until the plugin was no longer needed with the arrival of HTML5. The main browsers on the market (Chrome, FireFox and Edge) are incompatible with Silverlight and you can only access it with the old Internet Explorer (which was abandoned by Microsoft this past 2022).

5. Java

Java is another classic, essential some years ago but that nowadays, it doesn’t make much sense to have installed. It is made up of two components: a desktop version and another as a plugin for your browser. Nowadays there are hardly any pages compatible with Java and browsers such as Chrome or Firefox do not accept this plugin. In the past, Java has been at the centre of some security scandals, so if you want to keep your data safe, you should consider uninstalling Java.

6. Programmes to improve the performance of your computer

If your computer is slow or not running as smoothly as before, you may have been tempted by cleaners or programmes to improve your PC’s performance. All of them are advertised as a panacea and claim that in just a few minutes, your computer will be back up and running as fast as it did on the first day. However, most of them fall into two main categories: those that are useless and those that can damage your computer even more. We recommend that you be wary of all programs capable of making changes to the Windows registry. Or better yet, remove them from your PC.

7. Bloatware from your PC or laptop manufacturers

When buying a computer, especially if it is a laptop, manufacturers tend to fill your new computer with all kinds of bloatware and unnecessary programs. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba… nobody is spared from this practice. These apps are usually clones of those that you already find in the Windows installation, such as programs for editing photos, games, etc. However, when deleting them, make sure you keep the ones that automatically update your PC’s drivers, plugins and BIOS.

Hombre utilizando un portátil

8. Windows 10 and 11 bloatware

Believe it or not, Windows includes in its installation a good number of programs and applications that have little to do with the proper functioning of your PC. Most of these take the form of video games such as Candy Crush Saga or Solitaire & Casual Games or entertainment and information apps such as News, Money, Sports or Weather. If you’re not a console user, you won’t need the Xbox stick or its companion. It is therefore recommended that you take stock of these Microsoft apps and uninstall all those you don’t use.

9. Useless toolbars and extensions

We end our article by focusing on Internet browsers. They accumulate a lot of junk that affects the performance of our computer in the form of toolbars and extensions that are of no use whatsoever. Despite the fact that in recent years Chrome has removed a large number of malicious extensions from its Web Store that only consumed system resources, there is still a lot of work to do. Have you checked yours?

We recommend that you open the browser you use on a daily basis and check if there are any toolbars installed. To recognise them, simply look at the top of the browser and see if you have a small section with its own search box and the logo of Google (Google Toolbar), Bing (Bing Toolbar), Yahoo! (Yahoo Toolbar), etc. Also check your browser extensions and if in doubt, uninstall any that you don’t recognise or don’t use often.

Get rid of all these programmes now

We hope that this article will help you when it comes to uninstalling programs that do little for Windows, apart from taking up space on your hard drive and slowing down your operating system. Don’t be afraid to remove them, because if you regret it later, you can always reinstall them.

Still, we recommend that from time to time you take a look at your hard drive for any applications that have settled on your system and are not performing any function. Believe it or not, many of them can become a major security hole used by hackers.
