Really, how many ‘Persona’ games are there? A descent into gamer madness

It’s possible that you might think the solution to the question “How many games are there in the ‘Persona’ series?” is simple. Five, right? ‘Persona 5’ was released in 2016, and there has been nothing new since then.

You might think that the answer to the question “How many games are there in the ‘Persona’ saga?” is simple. Five, right? ‘Persona 5’ was released in 2016 and there hasn’t been anything new since then. But thinking that about this spin-off of the ‘Shin Megami Tensei’ saga (which could also be talked about for hours and hours) is like believing that there are only three titles of ‘Kingdom Hearts‘. Are you ready for a descent into the abyss of madness? I can tell you that you’re not.

If the game doesn’t ring a bell, just know that it’s not a version of Ingmar Bergman’s masterpiece, but an RPG that started in 1996 with the game ‘Revelations: Persona’, a spin-off of ‘Shin Megami Tensei’, and continued with four more sequels. The problem is that each of these sequels has its own sub-sequels, totaling 23 games. To give you an idea of the mess: ‘Persona 2: Eternal Punishment’ came out after ‘Persona 4’ and its sequel in the form of a fighting game, ‘Persona 4 Arena’. Anything goes here.

Throughout its almost three decades of existence, ‘Persona’ has gone through free-to-play versions (‘Persona Ain Soph’), RPGs for Nintendo DS (‘Persona Q: Shadow of the labyrinth’), rhythm games (‘Persona 4: Dancing all night’) and even a hack and slash in the style of ‘Dynasty Warriors’ (‘Persona 5 Strikers’). Additionally, each game has had its own slightly enhanced versions, such as ‘Persona 4 Golden’ or ‘Persona 5 Royale‘, turning it into a mess only suitable for the most hardcore fans. Oh, and we must also add its adaptations to novels, manga, theater, and even concerts, all of them canon. The bravest explorers are in luck. Let the battle begin!

The best coffee growers in the games: celebrating International Coffee Day

Coffee has also managed to find its place in the world of video games: these are some titles that pay tribute to this drink.

What would many of us do without our cup of coffee? This bitter as well as aromatic brew has established itself as our faithful battle companion, on which many of us depend to become functional adults. However, caffeine addiction is not something that occurs only in real life.

Coffee has also found its place in the world of videogames. While some titles only mention coffee in passing, others base their entire gameplay on it. Sometimes, it is simply a tribute. Be that as it may, grab a good cup and get ready to dive into these coffee video games.

Person 5

The plot of Persona 5 is not exactly focused on the cafe, but it does “star” in one of the key scenarios of our adventure: the Leblanc cafe. For our protagonist, Joker, it is his refuge and represents a safe place. As if that were not enough, in our free time we can also play at being baristas. As a golden brush, it is impossible not to mention its beautiful soundtrack, ideal for those moments where only you and that cup of coffee exist.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Although it had not been included out of the box with the game, Animal Crossing can also boast its own cafeteria. Thanks to the 2.0 update, players of Nintendo’s calm title stumbled upon the café, with Figaro in charge. For the modest price of 200 berries, you’ll be able to drink your coffee quietly there. And you don’t have to do it alone: sometimes you’ll run into neighbors from your island and even some old acquaintances.

Coffee Talk

The title says it all. If you are looking for a game that shows its love for coffee, Coffee Talk is what you are looking for. Your purpose is quite simple: you’ll have to serve a good, hot coffee to anyone who needs it. However, your clientele will be very peculiar: ogres, humans, elves, demons… there are as many beings as there are types of coffee. Coffe Talk is simple, but it leaves us with a good message: no matter what you are or where you come from, in the end we all want (and should) be heard.

Become Saitama: One Punch Man’s Legendary Powers Come to Life in New Video Game

Crunchyroll Games Announces New Game About The World’s Most Famous Bald Superhero, Promising It’s The Character’s Most Ambitious Game To Date

If there has been one superhero who has captivated us recently, it’s Saitama. Perhaps he isn’t the most glamorous or self-aware, and truth be told, he doesn’t have a single hair on his head, making us wonder if that reflects what’s inside him. But the truth is, he’s a character that is easy to love. That’s why it’s no surprise that One Punch Man is one of those anime series that is extremely popular in Japan and around the world. So much so that new games keep coming out from time to time, hoping to capture the essence of the character this time around.

That’s the case with the new game from Crunchyroll Games, developed by Perfect World, the company behind Tower of Fantasy and the Persona 5 spin-off for PC and mobile devices, The Phantom X. It’s called One Punch Man World. It’s an online 3D action game that will feature various unlockable characters and leveling up mechanics. Players will have the opportunity to encounter other heroes from the Hero Association and can team up with friends to take on missions. According to Perfect World, the game will recreate iconic moments from the anime’s first season and will heavily focus on city exploration and combat, emphasizing combos, perfect evasions, and finishing blows.

For those unfamiliar, One Punch Man tells the story of a world where superheroes and monstrous threats exist for real. In this context, a man named Saitama trained so hard that he achieved two things: the ability to defeat any opponent with a single punch and losing all his hair in the process. This has caused him a double trauma – becoming an easily forgettable character and, moreover, feeling incredibly bored as he can’t find a worthy opponent.

One Punch Man: World is set to be released this year on PC, iOS, and Android. While we don’t have a specific release date yet, you can already register to be among the first to dive into the dangerous City-Z.
