Although it is less terrifying than its predecessor, Village offers memorable sections that have resonated with players, such as the iconic encounter with Lady Dimitrescu and the chilling challenges presented by Donna Beneviento.

The game stands out for its cast of memorable bosses, each contributing their own unique style of horror. In total, 11 games have been revealed that will be available to subscribers throughout the month, providing options for various platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

A juicy novelty

The titles will be available for different subscription levels, with Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Ultimate offering access to most of them. The arrival of Resident Evil Requiem generates renewed interest in Resident Evil Village, which will be playable starting January 20, while Star Wars Outlaws will offer a galactic experience from January 13. This selection includes games that are already available, such as Atomfall and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, allowing users to start enjoying new experiences immediately.

It is important to highlight that five games will leave the catalog on January 15. All of them are currently available with a 20% discount, which may encourage users to purchase them before they leave. Ubisoft has announced that it will make modifications to the Japanese version of its upcoming release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, to meet the requirements imposed by Japan’s video game rating agency CERO. Even though the game is already rated as CERO Z, indicating it is “only suitable for those over 18,” the agency has determined that the content is too graphic even for adults.

No mutilations or blood in the Japanese version

Among the most significant modifications is the prohibition of dismembering enemies, which will be available in other regions, and changes in the graphic representations of violence, including images of wounds on bodies. This cautious approach is not the first of its kind by CERO, as previously, titles like Resident Evil Village and The Callisto Protocol faced censorship for their violent content, highlighting the ongoing concern about violence in video games in Japan.

Additionally, changes have been made to the audio of the Japanese edition, although the specific details of these alterations have not been disclosed. This modification is unusual for an initial release and may be related to licensing rights. Changes have also been observed in the description of the character Yasuke on the Japanese Steam page, where his reference as a samurai has been removed, which has generated criticism among certain groups of players who believe this decision aims to avoid controversies.

It is important to note that this change occurs in a broader context of criticism from certain sectors that believe Ubisoft’s approach strays from the historical representation of Yasuke. While Ubisoft’s creative team has defended its decisions, the company’s executives have taken a more cautious stance, ensuring that their goal “is not to promote any specific agenda.” Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled for release on March 20.

Perhaps you want something more tranquil. To go out with your boat. Sail. Fish. Have something unknown assail you in the middle of the night looking to kill you. The usual on the high seas. That’s what Dredge offers you, a horror and fishing game that has been a resounding success among critics and the public, and it will receive its first DLC on November 16th. For the first time in history, we will be able to play real video games on a mobile thanks to the iPhone 15 Pro

iPhone 15 Pro promises us something that until now mobile phones could not give us: AAA games like console ones in our pockets.

Apple has consistently sought to differentiate itself from its competitors by being at the forefront. Not necessarily by having the most advanced technology, but by always creating devices that set the pace – something that everyone else should aspire to achieve. This hasn’t changed with their new line of mobile devices, the iPhone 15, which has a lot to offer in the realm of video games.

The most notable aspect of the new iPhones can be found when we talk about the Pro and Pro Max versions of the upcoming iPhone 15. As we have previously mentioned, with a starting price of €959 for the basic model with 128GB of storage, they stand out for their 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display and an A16 Bionic chip with 5 cores. So, why are we particularly interested in the Pro version? Because even though its price starts at €1,219, it features an A17 Pro chip with 6 cores. This provides support for ray tracing and for a type of games that mobile devices have never seen before – premium PC and console video games.

In fact, during Apple’s own conference, they have already announced four recent AAA games that will be playable on the iPhone 15. Something that, until last week, seemed completely unthinkable. These games are Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

The first three games will arrive throughout 2023. In fact, Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding have already made appearances in the past to demonstrate the potential of Mac’s graphics API. On the other hand, Assassin’s Creed Mirage won’t be available until the first half of 2024 for iPhone 15 Pro. It will be released on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 5, 2023.
