Surprise Leak: Tekken 8 Launch Date Unveiled, Catching Fans Off Guard

Tekken 8 has kept us completely in the dark when it comes to its release date, but now we know it.

Even though Street Fighter 6 has a very recent release, that doesn’t mean the fighting game community isn’t already looking ahead to upcoming launches. Mortal Kombat 1 is coming out on September 14th and is making a great impression in the betas that have been playable so far. Something we can also say about Tekken 8, the other major fighting game alongside Street Fighter, except for the fact that it doesn’t have a release date. Except that it seems to have been leaked ahead of time.

The release date for Tekken 8 would be January 26, 2024, according to Aggiornamenti Lumia. Having made numerous accurate leaks in the past, this lends credibility to their latest disclosure. Especially since they claim to have sourced this information from the most reliable place: the public Tekken 8 page on the Microsoft Store.

As of now, if you look at the Microsoft Store page, the game lacks any release date. This is understandable. If the date is to be announced today during the Opening Night Live presented by Geoff Keighley, it wouldn’t be unusual for the public details to accidentally appear when updating the game listing, allowing them to be visible long enough for a leak to occur. This aligns with the fact that Geoff himself has confirmed that we’ll learn more about Tekken 8 tonight.

Tekken 8 was announced last September 2022 during the PlayStation State of Play stream. Since then, numerous trailers introducing the game’s characters have been released, along with various open and closed betas that allowed players to extensively test the game’s systems. Although the official confirmation of the release date is still pending, all signs point to us starting off 2024 by donning our finest attire and engaging in fistfights with one of the best fighting game franchises of the moment.

Calling All Fans of Techno Samurai: Save the Date for the Upcoming Sequel

Ghostrunner 2’s date has been leaked ahead of time, but the Epic Games Store has already confirmed that our favorite techno ninja has a date.

With Gamescom just around the corner, it’s only natural for all kinds of leaks to start happening. Many studios are going to leverage this time to make announcements about new games, but more importantly, to provide fresh details about known games they want to emphasize more than before. Hence the leaks, because the more information circulates, the more likely that a certain amount of it will end up coming out ahead of schedule.

Epic Games Store DOWNLOAD

Once again, thanks to Billbil-kun, we’ve learned ahead of time about the release date of a game that turned out to be closer than expected: Ghostrunner 2. As a result, the Epic Games Store has already released all the available information.

Ghostrunner 2 is set to be released on October 26th and will have three different editions. The Basic Edition, available in both physical and digital versions, will include the game and the Traditional Katana Pack — featuring two sword skins and two hand skins — for a price of €39.99. The Deluxe Edition, available only in digital format, includes everything from the previous edition, along with four hand skins, four sword skins, and a personalized hand hologram with your username, priced at €49.99. The Brutal Edition, also exclusively digital, encompasses everything from the previous editions, adding the Season Pass — valued at €19.99, including a new game mode, four material packs, animated skins, and a motorcycle skin — as well as 48 hours of early access to the game, all for the price of €69.99.

For those unfamiliar, Ghostrunner is an FPS with platforming elements that puts players in the role of a cyborg ninja. Set in a dystopian future, the game follows the ninja’s journey to combat an evil organization by utilizing two primary tools: the ability to leap between buildings and engage in intense katana combat. This sequel promises to expand its gameplay, incorporating motorcycle driving segments as well. Hopefully, the motorcycle won’t face any leaks like the game’s release announcement has.

Leaked GTAVI Videos Confirm True? Xbox Bans Leaker for Unauthorized Content

A few days ago a series of supposed early videos of GTAVI development were leaked and today the leaker’s account has been suspended.

All insiders know that their actions are not greeted with a smile by companies. Revealing their secrets ahead of time is not something that studios celebrate, so it shouldn’t surprise us that they often disappear, or in fact, are made to disappear. For instance, by getting banned from social media.

A few days ago, we shared some leaks from the user RockstarGTAVI on the platform formerly known as Twitter. However, if you go to their profile now, you’ll quickly notice that not only does this account no longer exist, it has been suspended.

Steam DOWNLOAD

If we had doubts about whether these leaks were true or not, this clarifies most of our doubts. It’s still possible that they were banned for the misuse of a registered trademark, but many other accounts do the same, posting supposedly leaked content, and they aren’t suspended. That’s why it’s safe to assume that, in this case, the leaks made by RockstarGTAVI were legitimate. And therefore, what we saw almost a year ago, and which resurfaced now, was indeed a very early version of the game.

With no known release date, but with expectations set for the fiscal year 2024 —which runs from April 2024 to March 2025— GTA6 should come out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S if all goes as expected.

Leak Alert: Upcoming Zombie Series Video Game Reveals Playable Main Characters

Thanks to a well-known insider, all the information about a game that will be announced at the next GamesCon has been leaked, and it’s a real bombshell!

“The Walking Dead,” the iconic comic by Robert Kirkman that spawned a popular TV series on AMC, refuses to die. Just like its zombie headlines and leading characters, its popularity might not be as fervent as during its debut, but it seems to perpetually generate interest and spawn derivative works due to the fascination it continues to hold among fans. So much so, that the existence of a new game within the franchise has just been leaked.

Steam DOWNLOAD

To be precise, the details have been leaked. “The Walking Dead: Destinies” is a game whose existence came to light when a Reddit user known as LongJonSilver discovered a patent with that name at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) back in January. Under the video game category, one didn’t need to be a genius to deduce that a new game within this popular series was in the works. And it was well underway.

Now, thanks to the insider billbil-kun, we can uncover more about the game. It will be a third-person action-adventure game that encompasses the first four seasons of the series, allowing players not only to relive its events but also to alter them. Among the available weapons will be the classic firearms, as well as melee weapons like katanas, alongside a significant resource management aspect. For instance, players will reinforce their camp and gather supplies to survive the apocalypse.

Regarding playable characters, players will have the option to choose from 15 characters from the series. Currently confirmed are Rick, Shane, Michonne, Daryl, Merle, Carol, Carl, Lori, Glenn, The Governor, and T-Dog, with other characters yet to be confirmed.

The game will be published by GameMill Entertainment and will be unveiled at Gamescom 2023, taking place from August 23 to 27. The game is set to release on November 14, 2023, and will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC at a price of €49.99. It arrives just in time for us to consider purchasing it as part of a bundle along with the series for Black Friday.

Gearing Up for Nostalgia: Iconic Need for Speed Title Set to Make a Triumphant Return

The voice actress of the next Need for Speed accidentally leaks that it is a remake of the franchises most beloved game by fans.

For some time now the most reliable source of leaks are the voice actors who are not aware of what has been announced or not of their upcoming works. Without clear NDAs, or not giving them much importance, not a month goes by without a voice actor giving us information about a project we didn’t know about, whether it’s a new installment of an already recognized franchise, as has happened with the new Call of Duty, or as is the case, the remake of an acclaimed title. Because to the delight of many, it seems that Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be back in 2024.

Simone Bailly, who voiced one of the characters in the original game -which gives us to understand that it is a remake of the 2005 version, not the 2012 one-, put in a now deleted tweet that a remake of Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake would arrive in 2024. Citing Criterion Games and EA, there is no doubt that this was a mistake on the part of the actress, who thought that the game had already been announced, which gives us a hint that the future of this famous car game is coming in curves.

Need for Speed BUY NOW

The original Need for Speed: Most Wanted was published in 2005 and was developed by EA Canada and the now defunct EA Black Box. It appeared for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, PC, Game Boy Advance and Xbox 360, having a remarkable reception at the time. In 2012, Criterion Games, who would probably be in charge of this remake since EA has again commissioned them the Need for Speed after they made the last four prior to Need for Speed Unbound to the people of Ghost Games, made a reboot of the game that was very well received.

In the absence of official confirmation, it seems clear that next year we will have a new Need for Speed by Criterion Games. In fact, another Need for Speed: Most Wanted. And while we would love to see them making other kinds of games, especially remembering the excellence of their own games like Black or Burnout Paradise, nobody likes a sweet and we look forward to the announcement of this Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remake.

Facebook dark mode is coming

Soon you will be able to surf through Facebook all in a slick, new dark mode!

Facebook dark

It’s 1 a.m. and you’re in bed. Your phone gets a notification. It’s your friend and they just tagged you in a photo. As you unlock your phone to check the notification, you are blinded by the piercing white light from Facebook.

Well, it looks like your eyes are going to be saved as Facebook will soon have a dark mode.

This new feature was discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, a sleuth known for uncovering updates for apps like Facebook and Twitter.

As you can see in the tweet above, the text will be white on a black background. There is no official release date for dark mode. Wong discovered the update by looking at the code in the Android app.

Send TikTok videos to WhatsApp friends with this new shortcut

Quickly send a video to your friends on WhatsApp after this new TikTok update!

TikTok WhatsAppTikTok is testing a new feature for users to quickly send videos to a shortlist of WhatsApp friends.

This was discovered by Jane Machun Wong, a tech detective known for finding leaks. She has found lots of cool leaks over the years.

Prior to this update, users have been able to share TikTok videos with WhatsApp; this update will merely act as a shortcut.

There isn’t a release date, but you can probably expect it to come out in one of the next TikTok updates.

TikTok is also testing a new feature to show how many times a video was downloaded and liked. There will also be a new “Discover” tab, but it is unknown as of now what the tab will do.

Wong also uncovered that TikTok will soon allow users to link their account to their Facebook or Google accounts.

Wrapping up

Being able to quickly share videos on TikTok with our friends on WhatsApp would be one of our new favorite WhatsApp tricks. Once it comes out in the update, we will make sure to test it!

New Pokémon, limited Pokédex leaked at Nintendo Treehouse

Two new Pokémon have been leaked at Nintendo Treehouse!

pokemon

During Nintendo’s Treehouse at E3 this year, two new Pokémon were revealed! However, fans also learned in a leak that we will not be able to play with all of our favorite mons in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Yamper the electric corgi

Yamper pokemonThe first new mon was Yamper, the adorable little corgi. According to Serebii, it is an electric type. Also, it has a new ability that allows it to pick up the first failed Pokéball you throw at a mon.

Fans have been anticipating a corgi mon for a while. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield take place in the Galar Region, which is based on the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth is known for her adorable corgis, and now so will we once we get ahold of this game!

Impidimp, the first ever dark, fairy type

impidimp
Cool typing, but that’s a pretty bad design.

Although Impidimp is not very visually breathtaking, his typing is something to behold. We have never before had a dark, fairy type mon. This unique typing means that we have a dark type with attacks that are super-effective on other dark types.

Hopefully, this little guy will evolve, and we will get a cooler looking final evolution.

Galar’s limited Pokedéx

Unfortunately, not all of the news is good. It was also confirmed at the Nintendo Treehouse that the Galar Region will have a limited Pokédex and that players will not be able to transfer over mons that aren’t in it.

We do not know all of the mons that will or won’t be available in Galar, but this is still a punch to the teeth. There are nearly 1,000 mons in the whole franchise, and not being able to play with all of them is a complete shame. Hopefully, GameFreak will listen to their fans on Twitter and right this wrong.

Joker, Terminator, Spawn, and more reportedly leaked for Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

Some pop culture legends are joining the fight.

Another day, another Mortal Kombat leak.

The Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 has been datamined, revealing some interesting guest characters for future DLC. In this Reddit post, user /u/LeoNatan lists out a series of strings, as well as a step-by-step process for anyone who’d like to verify that these lists actually exist in the code. The code has been confirmed to actually exist in the game, so unless the references to these new guest characters are red herrings, they are coming to MK11 in future DLC packs. Without further ado, here are the leaked characters:

Joker

joker mortal kombat 11

Batman’s archnemesis, the Joker, will be making his Mortal Kombat debut. While the Joker was featured both in Netherrealm’s Injustice series and Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, this marks the first time the Clown Prince of Crime appears in a mainline Mortal Kombat game. With the Joker standalone movie coming later this year, it makes sense for publisher Warner Bros to promote the character, just as they promoted the “Suicide Squad” characters in Injustice 2.

Though Joker is known for his murderous and sadistic tendencies, it’s interesting that DC is allowing one of their characters, even Joker, to participate in the gory mayhem of Mortal Kombat, as Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe had significantly toned down gore and neutered fatalities. Still, Joker is a perfect fit for the Mortal Kombat universe, and I can’t wait to see what kind of insane fatalities that he’ll pull off.

Leaked dialogue:

Joker: “You know, you remind me of Bats.”

Terminator: “Who?”

Joker: “Just another jerk with no sense of humor.”

Joker: “You look like a hugger, bring it in!”

Spawn: “I’ll turn you inside-out ass-first, clown.”

Joker: “I love it when they talk dirty!”

Terminator

terminator leak mortal kombat 11

The Terminator, specifically the T-800 from “T2: Judgment Day,” blasts onto the scene in Mortal Kombat 11. The franchise is obviously no stranger to cyborgs, including fan favorites like Sektor and Cyrax, so Arnie should have no trouble fitting in. Like Joker, Terminator also has a movie coming later this year in “Terminator: Dark Fate.” Judging by some of the leaked dialogue, it’s clear the developers are diehard fans of the series, as well as other Arnold films. Fun fact: Kano’s eye laser and heart rip fatalities were originally inspired by the Terminator itself, so hopefully it can return the favor.

Leaked dialogue:

Terminator: Your guns and your cape, give them to me.

Spawn: You forgot to say please.

Terminator: F*** you, asshole.

Terminator: “Take me to Sarah Connor.”

Cassie Cage: “Aw can’t, gotta get to the choppa.”

Terminator: “Now.”

Spawn

spawn leak mortal kombat 11

Arguably the most-requested guest character in Mortal Kombat history, fans can finally rest easy that Spawn is coming. An icon of ’90s edgy independent comics, Spawn is one of the industry’s quintessential anti-heroes. Spawn is additionally getting a Jamie Foxx-led movie coming in the near future, though details are scarce as of now. Spawn’s demonic aesthetic and brutal powerset make him a natural fit for Mortal Kombat, and it’ll be fun to see his interactions with other hellspawn like Scorpion.

Leaked dialogue:

Cassie Cage: “Guns, magic, you can’t just choose?”

Spawn: “I go both ways.”

Cassie Cage: “That explains the fetish gear.”

Spawn: “You’ve been to other dimensions?”

Scorpion: “Each had its own injustices.”

Spawn: “Maybe that’s why my soul still burns.”

Ash Williams

ash williams mortal kombat 11 leak

Deadites beware: the boomstick wielding, chainsaw-armed buffoon Ash Williams has entered the fray. The semi-competent hero of the “Evil Dead” trilogy and its numerous spinoffs, Ash Williams uses his quick wit, unconventional weaponry, and “charm” to put undead baddies in their place. Ash has battled everyone from zombified Marvel heroes to Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, so he should be able to handle his own against Sub-Zero and company.

Leaked dialogue:

Ash: “Fancy leathers, who’s your tailor?”

Spawn: “How’d you like to wear that smile on your ass?”

Ash: “No thanks, I only wear American denim.”

Returning Mortal Kombat characters

Guest characters weren’t the only ones that leaked. Returning kombatants include the shape-shifting villain Shang Tsung, Native American sorcerer warrior Nightwolf, the ear-piercing Sindel, and the four-armed Sheeva. Curiously, the leak also mentions Fujin as a playable character. Fujin is a demi-god like Raiden, though he controls the wind. He debuted in the infamously awful spinoff Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero as a boss before becoming playable in Mortal Kombat 4.

Which character are you most excited for? Let us know!
