What book lover wouldn’t have liked to work in a bookstore? Now you can experience this lovely profession with Book Bound, a new bookstore management game where you will have to become the most efficient bookseller. Currently, players can enjoy a demo available, while the full release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
For Bookworms
Developed by Bit66, Book Bound invites players to take control of an empty store, where they can organize shelves, attend to customers, and face challenging and realistic situations. The experience focuses on customer service, which includes dealing with somewhat forgetful shoppers who leave books on the floor and trash to pick up. As players progress, they will move from an empty space to a decorated and functional store, using different literary genres to attract customers’ attention.
The game will feature five genres of books and will allow players to decorate the store with furniture and plants, thus fueling their creativity. The uniqueness of Book Bound lies in its use of fictional book titles, such as The Secret of the Dark Queen and Repugnant Creature, instead of classic titles, offering a fresh approach to simulation. This contrast sets it apart from other bookstore simulators, like Tiny Bookshop.

To increase its visibility, Book Bound will participate in the Steam Next Fest at the end of February, where interested players will have the opportunity to try the demo and learn more about the game. Additionally, the developer has indicated that free updates will be offered after the launch, ensuring a continuous and enriching experience for players. Meanwhile, for those looking for a mix of management and love for books, Book Bound promises to be an exciting addition to the cozy games genre.
