That hasn’t stopped them from already giving the green light and confirming that it will have a second season that will begin filming this fall, adapting one of the most beloved books by fans: The Chamber of Secrets.
The season by book
Here we will follow Harry during his second year at Hogwarts, where he will have two important events in his life. The first is the discovery that the heir of Salazar Slytherin has opened the Chamber of Secrets, unleashing a horrible creature in the school corridors that will endanger the students. The second is meeting Dobby, a house-elf with whom he will start a friendship and who will warn him about the dangers that await him at Hogwarts.
After learning that the second season will adapt Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, following the first season adapting Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, it is confirmed that each season will adapt a new book from the franchise. This means there should be at least seven seasons of the series, unless it is canceled for any reason.
The first season of Harry Potter is set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on December 25th. The second season does not have a release date yet, but it is expected to be at least a year after the premiere of the first season. Especially since everything indicates that HBO is convinced this is their new golden goose and they do not want to let it slip away.

At 94 years old, Clint Eastwood stands as one of the living legends of Hollywood, with a film career spanning nearly seven decades. From his first major success in the television series Rawhide, to becoming an icon of Western cinema thanks to the Dollar Trilogy, created in collaboration with Sergio Leone, Eastwood has left an indelible mark on the film industry.
An actor who has known how to reinvent himself as a director
The actor and director has been responsible for memorable cinematic moments, highlighting titles such as Dirty Harry, The Bridges of Madison County, Unforgiven, and Million Dollar Baby, the latter awarded four Oscars, including Best Director and Best Picture. His skill both in front of and behind the camera has inspired a new generation of filmmakers who see in his career a role model.
Currently, Eastwood is working on his next project titled Juror #2, which underscores his ongoing activity and commitment to cinema, despite his advanced age. The veteran filmmaker remains an active figure in the creation of films, surprising both critics and fans with his dedication and artistic vision.
Although Eastwood is an iconic figure in the western genre, he has expressed his admiration for other actors, with James Cagney being his favorite. In a 1999 interview, Eastwood highlighted Cagney’s energy and style, stating that “movies were invented for him”. This connection underscores the influence that the iconic gangster film actor has had on his own career, even borrowing a scene from White Heat for his character in Dirty Harry.
Clint Eastwood continues to be a fundamental pillar in the history of cinema, inspiring artists and audiences alike, and his legacy endures as he continues to work on new cinematic works.

Rowling’s novels and their successful film adaptations, the potential of its magical universe did not translate into memorable video games in those early years.
An RPG that could have been a true milestone
Between 1998 and 2000, the studio Volition, known for its work on the Saints Row series, planned to develop an RPG set in the world of Harry Potter, following the trends of titles like Baldur’s Gate. According to Andrew Borman, director of digital preservation at The Strong National Museum of Play, the Volition team was immersed in the plot of the first two books of the saga and outlined a prototype in a presentation to the rights holders, which included iconic characters like Harry and Hagrid.
The demo, although rudimentary and made in just a couple of weeks, showcased a world that evoked the village of Hogsmeade, in addition to implementing character-switching mechanics that could have added depth to the game. Unfortunately, despite the enthusiastic presentations, the project never received approval and was shelved without the public ever knowing of its existence.
In an ironic twist, the closure of Volition in 2023 put an end to any hopes of reviving this ambitious project. While fans have been able to explore the world of Harry Potter across various platforms such as movies, books, and the recent success of Hogwarts Legacy, the realm of video games has had to wait to capture the essence of the saga through other developments and adaptations.
Thus, what could have been a memorable delivery in the digital environment has become a forgotten chapter in the history of video games, highlighting the difficulty of translating such a rich and complex narrative into an interactive format in its early years.

HBO has announced a reboot of the iconic Harry Potter series, which has generated a whirlwind of emotions among fans. While some are excited about the possibility of reliving the magical story, others feel apprehension about how the new casting will be handled, especially regarding the profile of the actors who will portray beloved characters like Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
We don’t have a cast yet, but people are already talking about forced inclusion
The casting call, which emphasizes diversity and inclusion, seeks actors regardless of their ethnicity, gender, or disability. This initiative has sparked an intense debate on social media. Some fans have expressed concern about possible changes to the physical characteristics of the characters, such as the Weasleys’ hair color, considered iconic. “I can’t imagine Ron without his red hair,” commented a fan in a forum.
Despite the insistence of some fans that fidelity to the original character descriptions should be a priority, others believe that the most important thing is the quality of the casting. “I don’t care who is selected, as long as they do a good job,” expressed a Reddit user. However, the fear that the reboot will stray too far from the books has caused uncertainty. “The fact that there is a reboot is already difficult to accept, and making too many changes could risk not pleasing the fans,” added another commenter.
So far, no release date has been set for the series, but it is anticipated that it could take between one and two years to reach the screen. Fans will continue to wait for more details about this new adaptation that promises to bring the saga to new generations.
At the coronation of Charles III, the monarch that no one thought would reign, his son Harry will go to see the medieval ceremony with 21st century means… but without his wife Meghan.
Ah, yes, the British crown. The one we in Spain know from the jokes in British series, the Zapato Veloz song about Lady Di that said “She hooked up with Charles the Ears, the most handsome Anglo-Saxon” and the messes of ‘The Crown’. There have been no elephant hunts or escapes to Abu Dhabi, but instead they’ve had conversations about tampons and children who are no longer speaking to each other. Today, at the coronation of Charles III, the monarch no one thought would ever reign, his son Harry will go to watch the medieval ceremony with 21st century means… but without his wife Meghan. Drama.
Let’s put you in a little situation, because the truth is that we have enough in Spain to get involved in what they do in the UK: in January 2020, Harry and Meghan Markle decided that they did not want to do monarchical tasks (like going to hospitals or boring masses) and they preferred to dedicate themselves to prepare series for Netflix and do controversial interviews with Oprah Winfrey. Since she brought up the family’s dirty laundry in that interview, Harry and his family have completely broken ties. Well, sort of.
Meghan Markle, former actress, current children’s story writer, series creator and brat, does not go down well with the British crown. And knowing all the problems she has brought to it, she has decided not to go to the coronation of her father-in-law, a tough decision that, no doubt, will have received with tears in her eyes while she takes a croissant in her robe and starts watching the last season of ‘The Crown’ while Harry is not at home.
King Charles has said that the gesture of inviting his son is a way of letting him know of his “love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives in another country”. Come on, I love you very much, but far away. According to gossip, Harry and his brother have not spoken to each other since 2020 and do not even share a car (on the other hand, they are princes, they do not need to make a Blablacar) nor are they fond of each other.
That Meghan did not attend the coronation has been seen as something predictable by the always incisive British press (if one day you go to the UK, do not miss the covers of the tabloids: they are a thousand years ahead of us), who believe that it has been the lesser evil: better not to go to eliminate the drama. In the end, it is not so different from that time when your cousin Fernando got married and his brother’s girlfriend had to work and nobody changed his day. Only with crowns and long suits.
Meghan and Harry are still working on themselves, meanwhile. Literally: in addition to the interview they have released books and docuseries based on their couple and their bravery to break with a family that gave them the paycheck when they were already multimillionaires for the rest. A bit like the teenager who has a millionaire father and goes to New York for a year to reflect.
Mind you, Harry has made it clear that the ball is in the Brits’ court: “We need a constructive conversation, one that can happen in private and not be leaked”. If you’ve seen ‘Spencer’ you’ll already know that’s not so simple. And if you haven’t, take something away from this article in addition to a little bit of bitchiness: a very nice recommendation.
