The streamer Blurbs has brought madness to the world of video game mods by developing a mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 that shows flashbacks of the memories of non-playable characters (NPCs) that are killed in the game. This original idea arose thanks to the interaction with his Twitch chat, which helped write the scripts for the dialogues that accompany these emotional moments.
Have you killed me? Remember me
The modification allows players to view brief scenes that evoke significant memories of NPCs, such as the birth of a child or even funerals, transforming what would typically be a violent act into a hilarious experience. Blurbs has shared the result on their YouTube channel, where viewers can enjoy a mix of humor and emotion that is both touching and comedic.
However, this mod raises an interesting question: should we feel any remorse when eliminating characters that, although designed to be victims of the player’s violence, have stories to tell? In the context of Red Dead Redemption 2, where brutality is part of everyday gameplay, this modification allows for reflection on the lack of empathy that is often associated with the elimination of NPCs in open worlds.
Blurbs, known for its humorous approach and the creation of extravagant mods, had already surprised its audience with another mod in which it got all the characters in the game drunk. The combination of references to popular memes and the involvement of its community in content creation ensures that this mod is not taken too seriously, resulting in a unique experience that is sure to resonate with fans of the genre.
The Hollow Knight: Silksong community has been stirred by the arrival of a new modification called Skong Boss Doubler, designed by the modder eniac-mod. Why have one enemy when you can have two?
The bosses in Hollow Knight are known for their unique combination of demand and precision, making the addition of a second doppelganger a considerable challenge. Although this mod is not recommended for a serious experience, the community has found it to be a source of fun. Prominent players like CrankyTemplar, who has already defeated all the bosses without taking damage, have shared videos of their attempts facing these new duels, showcasing both frustrations and moments of humor.
To use Skong Boss Doubler, players must install the BepInEx mod framework, available through the Silksong Nexus. However, some users have reported download issues from the Nexus mirror, although the mod can also be accessed from GitHub. The arrival of these types of modifications has sparked an interesting dialogue between players and creators, emphasizing the creative dynamics that develop around the game.
Previous modifications also allowed for cooperative multiplayer in Silksong, but Skong Boss Doubler goes in the opposite direction, proposing multiple bosses at once without concessions. As the community continues to experiment with these tools, a future is shaping up where mischief and creativity are essential to the gaming experience.

PC video games have long been a fertile ground for player creativity, and mods are one of the main reasons for their success. These allow players to customize their experiences, making changes that developers may not always be able or willing to implement. Recently, there has been interest in a mod created by EpicNNG, which references statements made by Samuel Winkler, narrative director of Borderlands 4. Winkler mentioned that this installment would reduce toilet-related humor, a hallmark of the previous series.
EpicNNG is the cause and the solution of wacky humor
In an ironic twist, EpicNNG released the Skibidi Toilet mod, developed in response to Winkler’s desire to eliminate this type of humor from the game. Although the director expressed that the inclusion of skibidi in the game would make him cry, it seems that wishes are not always fulfilled. Winkler, for his part, has taken the creation of the mod in good humor, which has surely become a topic of conversation among fans.
However, not all of EpicNNG’s creations focus on wacky humor. The developer has also worked on mods that address more practical issues, such as reducing visual effects in Borderlands 4 to improve the accessibility of the title. This shows that the modding community not only seeks to add fun content but also to enhance the gaming experience for all players.
With the arrival of the new installment of the iconic franchise, the community is expected to continue exploring the potential of mods, whether to address design limitations, trigger laughter, or often a mix of both. Thus, what may have started as a challenge to a narrative director seems to have unleashed a flood of creativity that remains the true essence of gaming on PC.

This highly anticipated installment of the famous horror saga has captured the attention of fans, achieving an impressive start with 88% positive reviews on Steam, suggesting that it has resonated well with the horror-loving community.
Why would you want a Silent Hill without fog?
However, not everything in the game is received positively. A mod already available on PC removes the characteristic fog that has been a hallmark of the series since its beginnings. This change allows players to explore the environment without the visual restrictions imposed by the fog, which was originally implemented to hide the limitations of the original PlayStation hardware.
For many, fog is not just a technical resource, but also a fundamental element that creates a disturbing and confusing atmosphere, blurring the line between reality and nightmare. The possibility of experiencing Silent Hill without this feature provokes a mix of discomfort and curiosity among fans. Some critics, while acknowledging that they would never play a Silent Hill installment without fog, find it interesting to glimpse the hidden details that are usually out of sight.
Players have started to share comparisons between the original version of the game and the modified one, generating an exchange of impressions about the aesthetics and details of the environment without the veil of fog. Despite the criticism towards the mod, the interest in experiencing the world of Silent Hill in its entirety, without visual restrictions, has added a new level of discussion among fans.
Thus, while the community continues to explore the game and its innovations, the fog remains a hot topic, encapsulating the essence of what it means to be part of this iconic horror universe.
Silksong has been the talk of the gaming world since last week. To be fair, it has been for much longer, but understandably, it has intensified since its release. Silksong has been the talk of the gaming world since last week. To be fair, it has been for much longer, but understandably, it has intensified since its release. With everyone playing the game, it has quickly become one of the most popular games of the year. But while it is true that it has delighted most people, there is a growing rumor about a potential issue with the game: they may have gone overboard with the difficulty.
Although we do not support this perspective, we understand that there are people who find it to be a much more difficult game than the original. Or a difficult game, period. It is a demanding game and at certain moments, it has some design decisions that can be questionable. But that has also led one of the most vibrant communities in the video game world to jump in and fix what they consider, if not broken, at least improvable: the modding community.
If you are waiting for a mod to reduce the difficulty of Silksong, the reality is that there isn’t one. There are already many because, as expected, modders have found many things they want to tweak in the game.
Among the top 30 most popular mods for Silksong, it is important to remember that the game was released less than a week ago at the time of publishing this article, all of them help in one way or another to reduce the difficulty of the game. None change the game’s aesthetics or add elements from the original game. The most popular, aptly named No Double Damage, prevents enemies from taking away two masks per hit instead of one, which is one of the most common complaints among the community. And ShowDamage HealthBar, the second most popular, brings back one of the most popular mods from the first game. Being able to know how much health enemies have left, whether they are bosses or common enemies.
Surprisingly, or not so much for those who have played, the third most popular mod has nothing to do with combat. The game’s exploration is much more refined in Silksong than in Hollow Knight, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some issues. For instance, the Compass, an item that allows us to know our position on the map, takes up a relic space. A tremendously questionable design decision by Team Cherry which is solved with the Always Have Compass Effect mod so you don’t have to suffer from not knowing where you are at any given moment.
Some less popular mods, but you will like them too
If none of these mods make your life easier to progress in your adventure, you might want to consider taking a break, going for a walk, and coming back when you’ve disconnected from the game. Sometimes that’s all it takes to internalize what we’ve been doing so far and finally have all the pieces click. But in the meantime, let it not be for lack of options to modify the game to your liking.

The 8th update of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been announced as the last of the major updates by Larian Studios. However, this does not mean that the company has completely finished its work, as quick fixes and possible surprises regarding modding are expected. In its recent community update for the second anniversary of the RPG, Larian revealed that it is working on expanding the official modding toolkit, providing even more freedom to creators.
More possibilities to modify the game
The evolution of the modding kit is largely due to the vibrant and creative community of modders who have raised the bar with each new mod. The community has developed impressive modifications, including custom hairstyles and a wide variety of clothing recolors. The development of these tools was inspired by these talents, which led Larian to seek to further improve the toolkit to foster player creativity.
Interestingly, just two days after the official kit was released, a hidden level editor was unlocked that has allowed modders to create amazing innovations. Update 8 also added partial level editing, allowing players to creatively introduce NPCs and objects into the world. However, Larian has imposed limitations on the use of the toolkit to prevent instability in the game and has clarified that its use is subject to licensing and console guidelines.
As speculated, these new tools could open the doors to a wide range of possibilities, from restoring deleted content to developing personalized campaigns. Although there are still restrictions that may limit certain functions, the community is already demonstrating its skill in creating unique scenarios. With each step, Larian reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with its community and enhancing their gaming experience.

FromSoftserve has revealed an exciting preview of its upcoming mod for Dark Souls 3, focused on enhancing the lighting and textures of the acclaimed title. Released on July 6 on their YouTube channel, the preview showcases a reimagining of the game with a remarkable improvement in visual quality, thanks to the technology of the DS3LightingEngine, which allows for deep customization of lighting mechanisms.
A tremendously flexible customization of light and textures
The mod, still in development, promises to include improved textures, updated models, and a modified level of detail (LOD) system that loads high-quality models by default. FromSoftserve has chosen to disable LOD, a decision that, according to them, responds to advancements in graphics cards that have made its implementation unnecessary today.
Despite its promising performance, the mod still faces some technical challenges. In the video, FromSoftserve mentions that they are working to fix bugs, such as the lack of representation of the player’s lantern, and to integrate the improved lighting with the existing mechanisms in the game. Additionally, the mod still does not have an assigned name and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
FromSoftserve is dedicated full-time to mod development and is open to contributions through Patreon or Ko-Fi to continue supporting their projects. Previously, they have created several mods for the Souls series games that have been well received on NexusMods, accumulating thousands of unique downloads. Judging by the nearly 40-minute demo, their upcoming mod for Dark Souls 3 is expected to have a significant impact on the gaming community.
Since its launch, Peak has captured the attention of players by achieving sales of two million copies in just nine days. However, its multiplayer mode had a limitation that frustrated many: only up to four players were allowed in a lobby, which restricted the collective experience of the game. To address this issue, modders have developed PeakUnlimited, a mod that removes this restriction and allows for larger lobbies. It is noteworthy that only the host needs to have it installed for the rest of the players to join without complications. Play with as many friends […]

To address this issue, modders have developed PeakUnlimited, a mod that removes this restriction and allows for larger lobbies. It is noteworthy that only the host needs to have it installed for the rest of the players to join without complications.
Game with as many friends as you want
This mod has seen notable adoption, with approximately 350,000 users making it an essential part of their experience in Peak. Additionally, it facilitates group play by adding more marshmallows to the campfires, which is crucial as food tends to become scarce in the later stages of the game. Although some players have pointed out that PeakUnlimited may make the game easier than the developers originally intended, the community has welcomed these improvements.
In a surprising turn, the developers of Peak, Landfall, and AggroCrab have shown support for the modding community and even fixed bugs caused by the mod in their latest update. An example of this is a patch that resolved an issue in the final screens that only occurred when using PeakUnlimited in lobbies with more than four players. This type of support is contrary to the previous experience in the game Content Warning, where the developers disabled a mod that allowed more than four players due to the server costs it entailed.
The receptiveness of Landfall and AggroCrab to modding suggests a positive relationship with the player community, setting an interesting precedent in the industry. However, it can be speculated that this policy could change in the future, depending on the financial impact that these mods have on game sales and server maintenance costs.

This character has gained considerable popularity, accumulating over 1.5 million ‘likes’ and 250,000 bookmarks on her posts on the platform. The fan community has responded fervently, creating cosplay and artistic edits that highlight her appeal.
A success story from TikTok
Evelyn’s design is inspired by another character named Danni, created earlier by ari_@ilikedaisy0. Despite the similarities in visual style, Evelyn is distinguished by her background as a Cleric of Shar, in addition to being a Necromancer. The fascination this character evokes can lead to confusion for new players, who might think she is a legitimate NPC in the game, especially given how easy it is to overlook certain characters within the vast world of Baldur’s Gate 3.
The phenomenon of Evelyn has also generated confusion in the community, fueled by satirical content circulating on social media, including fake tutorials that guide interested parties on how to “win over” this illusory character. The growing popularity could be related to algorithms that amplify her visibility, highlighting how original characters created by fans can achieve an almost mythical status on platforms like TikTok.
In summary, Evelyn’s story reflects the trend of fan culture characters not only existing in their own universe but also influencing and connecting a diverse community, making them almost part of the fabric of the game they were inspired by.

The studio CD Projekt Red, known for its successful title The Witcher 3, has adopted an agile and dynamic approach in the development of its next installment, The Witcher 4. Philipp Weber, the game’s narrative director and former mission designer in the acclaimed RPG, emphasized that the studio’s philosophy is based on generating ideas quickly and iterating on them until the final release of the video game. This methodology has allowed CD Projekt Red to maintain a creative and passionate essence, reinforced by its tendency to hire people who have been modders, like Weber, who began his career by improving previous titles in the saga.
A greater emphasis on the narrative
Weber shared anecdotes about his arrival at the studio, where the team, composed at that time of approximately 160 employees, was characterized by a “scrappy” energy and a relaxed work environment. His first job consisted of putting mission ideas into a Google document, which reinforces the notion that creativity is fostered in a less formal setting. “We do things quickly, effectively, and without much concern for initial perfection,” he assured.
One of Weber’s most notable promises for The Witcher 4 is the elimination of fetch quests, a decision that indicates a significant evolution in the game’s mission design. In light of this, the team is committed to providing a more substantial and immersive narrative for players, likely in response to the criticism received about previous missions that lacked depth.
As CD Projekt Red continues to develop its legacy, the combination of new ideas and a focus on iteration promises to keep expectations high among fans of the series, with the hope that The Witcher 4 will transform gaming experiences, just as its predecessor did.
