A Shocking Conversion: ‘Hellraiser’ Morphs into an Unforgettable Christian Gaming Experience on the NES

That time the NES was about to have, in 1990, a game based on 'Hellraiser'… And how, because of him, the developer ended up becoming a company that switched to Christian merchandising.

The history of video games is full of amazing little moments, a priori absurd details that seem innocuous but that have shaped history to this day. For example, that time the NES was about to have, in 1990, a game based on ‘Hellraiser’… And how, because of it, the developer ended up becoming a company that turned to Christian merchandising.

From hell to heaven

Hellraiser’ was released in 1987 and revolutionized horror cinema thanks to the Cenobites, characters incapable of distinguishing between pain and pleasure, from which Pinhead emerged, an icon on a par with Freddy Krueger, Chucky and Jason Voorhees. The movie was such a cult hit that it spawned nine sequels, a remake, novels, comics and a video game. Well, sort of.

In 1990, a newborn studio called Color Dreams, specialized in releasing games not licensed by Nintendo on cartridges that squeezed the console to the maximum (with a Z80 processor and various changes that sounded spectacular in their head) bought the license of the movie for between 35,000 and 50,000 dollars, with the idea of making a little more or less a rehash of ‘Wolfenstein 3D’ that emulated what the 16-bit consoles were capable of.

In the game we would embody one of the victims of the cenobites trapped in the puzzle-box and trying to get out and solve the puzzles while the enemies tried to prevent it. The problem is that what seemed to be an easy task became more and more complicated and the budget was increasing, to which another problem was added: the owners of the stores. In 1990, Nintendo, always faithful to its principles that no one should make money apart from them, gave a warning to the stores that sold unlicensed products: if they continued to do so, they could forget about having any more titles from the Japanese company.

‘Hellraiser’ was even rumored for the Sega Genesis and Atari Lynx (“Solve the puzzle of pure hell. Over a million worlds. The biggest game for Nintendo. Over a hundred demons to escape from,” said the advertising) and was advertised in different magazines, but ended up being cancelled. Or, well, rather… modified.

‘Hellraiser’ became ‘Super 3D Noah’s Ark’, a rip-off of Christian ‘Wolfenstein’ for the Super Nintendo in which Noah had to lead the animals to the ark by shooting tranquilizer darts at them. It’s a change from the Nazis and submachine guns, really. The game thus avoided distribution problems; because instead of going to specialized stores they went straight to Christian bookstores. By then, Color Dreams had already morphed into two companies: Bunch Games, for simple games, and Wisdom Tree, for Christians. This is the only one that survives today.

It must be said that the last game they released was in 2007 and its name alone is already fabulous: ‘Jesus in Space’. Please, a crossover with ‘Hellraiser’ for when?

Critics Tear Apart the New Lord of the Rings Game Featuring Gollum’s Journey

There was a lot of curiosity with The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and the reality is that it is one of the worst video games in history.

If you’re a fan of the universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien in the mid-20th century, you’ve probably had your eye on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum as one of the most anticipated games of the year. Well, you can skip it.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum DOWNLOAD

Today, the game is released and you can download it now from our store, you have the direct link above. But before you do, we recommend that you take into account that we’re dealing with one of the worst games in history.

However, it’s worth trying it just to be able to tell your grandchildren: “I played that game, I was there.” It’s like having served in World War II in the gaming sector.

A disaster from start to finish, if Tolkien would raise his head….

The game starts in Cirith Ungol, the outskirts of Mordor infested with orcs, about 60 years after Bilbo Baggins stole the One Ring from our slimy and fragile protagonist, Sméagol, or Gollum, as he is known.

The story, which takes place shortly before the events depicted in The Fellowship of the Ring, is immediately recognizable to anyone even remotely familiar with the series: Gollum must find Bilbo and retrieve his “precious” at all costs, while avoiding Sauron’s wrath along the way.

You control Gollum in third person (except when swimming, oddly enough). He can barely lift a metal spoon, let alone wield a weapon, so combat is not the main focus, except for occasional opportunities to sneak up from behind and strangle enemies.

Instead, the game revolves around stealth. You use relatively scarce surfaces to climb, crawl in shadows to remain unnoticed on the ground, and throw rocks to extinguish lights or distract guards.

And if all of this wasn’t enough, analysts from various media outlets have made it clear that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a game that is not ready to be played.

Some experts claim that the game has crashed on them over 100 times in just 10 hours of gameplay.

We have provided a 45-minute gameplay video above if you want to see what kind of game awaits you if you dare to download it. We can only encourage you to do so, you will laugh… and cry.

Saying Goodbye to Tradition: ‘Final Fantasy XVI’ Marks the Possible Conclusion of the Iconic Series

Naoki Yoshida, the director of 'Final Fantasy XVI', is open to doing something that would spell the end of the franchise as we know it.

It is curious that ‘Final Fantasy’ was, literally, the last game that Squaresoft was to launch before closing its doors and saved them to this day. The saga has seen more than 35 years of history through its 16 main installments (and countless spin-offs, revisitations and remakes). Now, Naoki Yoshida, the director of ‘Final Fantasy XVI‘, is open to doing something that would mean the end of the franchise as we know it.

The numbers don’t add up

And it has to do with the numbers that accompany each title. Just like the movies get rid of them after a certain installment (‘Halloween,’ ‘Evil Doll,’ ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’), Yoshida believes there are more cons than pros to continuing to number the games in the series: “A lot of gamers are going to go in and look at it like a comic book where you have to read from the beginning to know what’s going on now. It’s hard for marketing because every numbered title we release in the series we have to say, ‘Okay, you don’t have to play the rest.'” Mind you, ‘Final Fantasy VI’ you do have to play it. Not for continuity, but because it’s really good.

Ready to take all the blame and not foreseeing how protective fans are of his stuff, Yoshida continues, “Removing the numbers is something we’ve discussed. Maybe it’s time. For example, you have Final Fantasy XIV. You have a new player who comes in and says, ‘Wait a minute, why am I going to play Final Fantasy XIV if XVI just came out?’ Why don’t we just call it Final Fantasy Online and remove the title altogether? It’ll be easier to understand.” He’s not wrong, but I’ll be damned if I don’t want to be eighty years old and enjoy the kids trying to order ‘Final Fantasy XLVIII’ in the stores.

Yoshida directed the fourteenth part and has produced this one: although his career is mostly focused on making video games, he has also released three installments of his autobiography ‘Yoshida Uncensored’ and refuses to keep his opinions to himself because, after all, he’s past fifty and horribly doubts he’ll ever touch a single title in the franchise again: “Whether Final Fantasy XVII or XVIII would have to have a number or not, that’s going to be the problem of whoever develops it and whoever is in charge of the brand. That’s their problem, not ours!”. That’s called having charisma by doing evil.

By the way, ‘Final Fantasy XVI’ is coming out on June 22 so we hope you’re ready for the new game of the year of the week after ‘Tears of the Kingdom‘ and before ‘GTA VI’. These are tough years for our gamers’ wallet.

Gaming Beyond Earth: Remembering the Pioneering Moment of the World’s First Space Video Game, 30 Years Ago

Fanaticism for 'Tetris' reached such a point that, when in 1993 the Soyuz TM-17 spacecraft was launched from Russia bound for the MIR, inside it was a 49-year-old astronaut who refused to travel without his Game Boy with the game

The conquest of space is full of firsts. The first planet to be seen from a telescope, the first launch, the first lunar trip, the first animal launched by rocket (which, as we know from Mecano, was a dog named Laika)… And, of course, the first video game to ever cross the atmosphere, an honor that goes to, of course, ‘Tetris’.

Tetris DOWNLOAD
The Tetris of a lifetime, but with new features

A tetraminic space

The history of ‘Tetris‘ is already known to all: Alexey Pajitnov programmed it during 1984 in the Soviet Union, using, in the absence of graphics, dots and levels, brackets and spaces representing the pieces. The rights mess that happened later, when the creator wanted to license his game, is more than well dramatized in the movie of the same name that you can see on Apple TV+ and that ended with the tetraminos accompanying the Game Boy at its launch.

Such was the fanaticism for ‘Tetris’ that, when in 1993 the Soyuz TM-17 spacecraft was launched from Russia bound for the MIR, inside was a 49-year-old astronaut who refused to travel without his Game Boy with the game: Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Serebrov retired two years later after completing his mission and spending 196 days in space circling the Earth 3,000 times. In total, the cosmonaut would get to spend almost 372 days in space between all his missions, getting to give ten rides at zero gravity (which seems unimpressive, but at the time it was a record).

Serebrov had been to space three times before and knew that there was always some time to waste between missions. And, instead of doing nothing or eating his head off, he decided to take his favorite pastime with him: a video game. As he himself said in 1994, “Like all cosmonauts, I love sports. My favorites are soccer and swimming. During the flight, in the rare moments of leisure, I enjoyed playing the Game Boy.” Obviously, while he was passing levels and placing pieces, he did not realize that he was setting a record that was immortalized shortly thereafter in the Guinness Book.

Parentheses in space

Serebrov died on November 12, 2013, and before leaving this world for good (and without a return ticket) he decided to auction his beloved console with the game and the manual. It ended up selling for $1,220 (very little, if you ask us) putting an end to the first video game space adventure. It was not the only one.

There is not much data on astronauts playing video games while on missions, but it is known that in 2014 Samantha Cristoforetti played ‘Minecraft’ on a laptop, despite the fact that these are used exclusively for data collection and work. NASA also reported that in 1998 it was usually played as a way to mentally escape from problems, along with other activities such as listening to music or reading fiction. Ah! And in 2016, Tim Peake uploaded from space a photo in which they tested virtual reality… And a game about aliens. Maybe not the best idea to test in space. For this, better a ‘Tetris’ and at least you do not live in fear of UFOs and, as our parents would say, “the little Martians”.

Outside of space, it has been proven that astronauts can improve their skills – and even save their lives in extreme situations – if they are gamers. But there’s a catch, of course, it’s not worth playing ‘Mario Kart‘: Level Ex is a company that creates specialized medical video games, including some for astronauts. Going for a walk in space has never been so much fun.

PlayStation ShowCase 2023: time, date and where to watch it on TV

It’s the most important moment for PlayStation in the last two years and we’re excited to see what they deliver. Here all the information.

We have written a lot about the PlayStation ShowCase 2023. And rightly so, we’ve been waiting for a whopping two years for Sony to give us an event on par with their E3 presentations.

Right now we are just a few hours away from being able to see in detail (hopefully in 4K so that everything looks better on TV) what is coming to the PlayStation 5, a console that has sold very well without having too many exclusive games.

If you want to know what our predictions are about what we will see tonight, take a look at this comprehensive article where we have compiled everything we know and believe about Sony’s conference.

When and where will the PlayStation ShowCase 2023 conference be held?

The most important thing is that in Spain and the United States the time of the presentation will be ideal, but not in Japan where they will have to get up very early to see it live.

This is the time and day at which the PlayStation ShowCase 2023 will take place, an event you can’t miss if you are eager to find out what games will be coming to PS5 and PSVR in the coming months and years.

  • Wednesday, May 24 at 10 p.m. (Spanish time) through its YouTube and Twitch channels.

You have above the direct link to the PlayStation channel so you can follow from this same news the presentation of Sony, we give you everything done.

Ignore Fake lists, nothing has been leaked so far.

For a week now, since the event was announced, we have been seeing supposed real lists of the games that will be presented. Yes, they are lists that want us to believe that they are from Sony itself and that they have been leaked.

We have talked about these today and we have given you the keys so that you are no longer fooled by the classic small-time leakers. When a list is really leaked it shows, and everything that has come out so far is quite unreal.

So trust your intuition and read the classic insiders and influencers who are familiar with the brand… like us, for example.

Be that as it may, in just 8 hours we will have the answer to all our doubts. Let’s hope it will be a great night for videogames.

Sega surprise announces Total War: Pharaoh and its trailer is impressive

Sega has a new strategy game and all gamers should be happy. This new installment takes us to glorious Egypt and we can…

The Total War series is heading to Egypt with its next edition called Total War: Pharaoh. Or, in other words, Total War: Pharaoh. Come on, let’s guess what era and part of the world we’re going to in this new installment.

Total War: WARHAMMER III DOWNLOAD

Total War: Pharoah, which will be released in October this year, will allow players to experience three cultures during the period of the Egyptian New Kingdom in the late Bronze Age.

The game will include a new customizable campaign, as well as “dynamic” battles. Check out the announcement trailer and its detailed battle against dung beetles. While it’s out you can play Total War: Warhammer III which is a great game.

A dynamic and customized campaign in glorious Egypt

The campaign will include a number of customization options to ensure it is different every time, from randomized starting positions, to various resource configurations and even the ability to play with natural disasters.

Thus, the campaign will be accessible to all players. Battles will also be more dynamic, with weather changes such as thunderstorms and sandstorms, as well as the spread of fires that can burn settlements and armies alike.

Players will be able to choose from eight faction leaders from three cultures (Egyptian, Canaanite and Hittite), each with a unique play style. And they will have to lead by diplomatic or warlike means.

“There are few periods more iconic than Ancient Egypt; rife with political intrigue, cataclysmic events and great war campaigns, it is the perfect setting for a Total War title,” says Todor Nikolov, the game’s director.

“As Pharaoh, you must save Egypt from the cusp of destruction and guide your people through the calamitous collapse of the Bronze Age. It is up to you to survive or fade into history.”

Total War: Pharoah is now available for pre-order and will be released in digital format for PC, both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The price is 59.99 euros being a computer game, where game inflation has not been noticed.

The most Machiavellian (and imaginative) creations of 'Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' of the players

What he has obtained is a series of items that could potentially wipe out all of Hyrule in a couple of minutes. Link has become a bigger threat than Ganondorf thanks to the players.

Surely Nintendo expected that with the building elements that Link now has in ‘Tears of the Kingdom‘ players were going to build motorboats, carriages or, being very skilled, some other mechanism to carry the Koroks from here to there. Instead, what you’ve gotten is a series of elements that could potentially wipe out all of Hyrule in a couple of minutes. Link has become a bigger threat than Ganondorf thanks to the players.

Boomerang and bow? I have a better idea

Let’s take as an example this killing machine formed by a vertical stone, two wheels and eight lasers that are able to kill any creature just by activating it. What did they say your pod…? Nothing, it doesn’t matter.

My personal favorite may be this contraption that brings together ten planes with activated bomb launchers to practice the Americans’ favorite risky sport: bombing other countries. Or, in this case, enemies that stand in the way of freedom (of Hyrule, that is).

And to lower the warrior mood a little, players have also made small amusement parks, because not everything is going to be mercilessly killing koroks and annihilating enemies. Link also needs a holiday from time to time.

And sure, it’s one thing to create amusement parks and weapons of mass destruction and another to be able to stick your arm out the window and hope you get a tan in the Hyrule sun while playing your favorite country station. When is the Link trucker spin-off coming?

And, of course, we have to comment on the players’ number one hobby: killing as many Koroks as they can (or, like this one, sending them into space with a couple of arrows).

The game has been in stores for a couple of weeks now and everything seems to indicate that there is still a lot to discover as the public experiments, runs, rides, destroys and uses all of Hyrule to their advantage. May the imagination never stop! The killing of koroks yes, please, poor things.

Everything You Need to Know About ‘The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ – Download, Plot, and Review

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is the new game from the worlds of JRR Tolkien and this is all you need to know about the Gollum-centric title.

We are on the verge of a release that any Tolkien lover would deem interesting. Because, let’s be honest, it doesn’t seem like this game centered around Gollum can generate the same level of hype as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor did.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum GO

Today, we’re going to talk about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, a game with a relatively modest budget developed by Daedalic Entertainment and published by Nacom.

We will cover all aspects of this video game, including its release, how to download it, delve into the story plot, and see what the press has to say about this upcoming release.

How to download The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Depending on the console you have, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available for download on Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will be playable on both current and next-generation consoles.

If you have a PS4 or PS5, you can download the game from the PlayStation Store. For Xbox users, you can purchase it from the Microsoft Store. Nintendo Switch users can find it on the eShop. PC users can pre-order it on Steam.

Additionally, you may be able to download the game from platforms like Softonic or through the provided links or cards. However, please note that once downloaded, you will still need to purchase the game to play it, as with other platforms.

What is The Lord of the Rings: Gollum about?

Developed in parallel to the events described in the first book, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure game that offers an epic interactive experience.

You will step into the shoes of the enigmatic Gollum on his perilous journey to uncover how he outwitted the most powerful characters of Middle-earth.

Having survived dangers that most would dare not speak of, Gollum is driven by the singular desire to reclaim what was stolen from him.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum GO

Although Gollum’s desperate mission is a central part of J.R.R. Tolkien’s created lore, it has never been told in detail. This makes The Lord of the Rings: Gollum a potentially captivating experience for die-hard fans of Middle-earth.

For the first time, players can follow the forgotten story of Gollum, offering an incredibly faithful adaptation of the books. From his escape from Mordor, where he eluded the Mouth of Sauron and the demonic spider Shelob, to the dungeons of Thranduil, the Elvenking and father of Legolas, Gollum has embarked on numerous adventures and encounters throughout his extraordinary journey.

After being corrupted by the Ring for hundreds of years, Gollum has developed exceptional agility and keen wit. Utilize his unique abilities to explore and infiltrate legendary locations and perilous heights.

Sneak among orcs as you climb the dark tower of Barad-dûr and elude the elves in the mysterious Mirkwood Forest.

While Gollum may not excel in direct combat, he is more than capable of swiftly dispatching an unsuspecting enemy when the opportunity arises… or finding a more creative and less risky way to escape a tight spot.

Review of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

We’ll have to wait for the embargo on reviews to be lifted on Metacritic. There are still two days left before the press can share their thoughts on this new original adventure from Nacom.

From an outsider’s perspective, based on gameplay footage and trailers, it doesn’t seem like a game that will please everyone. The story seems promising, but visually, it appears to be a title from around ten years ago…

It’s possible that we may be pleasantly surprised and that the game proves to be fun and challenging as we spend more time with it. However, at the moment, we’re not confident that it will be a contender for the Game of the Year in 2023.

Magical Gameplay Leak: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Lives Up to the Hype

It must be recognized that what could be seen before the videos were removed due to copyright looks wonderful

It is clear that at Warner, they will do whatever it takes to ensure that the Harry Potter saga does not die. It’s a sign of these times: no intellectual property should reach its natural end and be left there quietly for memory’s sake. After a few years in which J.K. Rowling’s books became more politically positioned than entertaining, it seems that someone has decided that the author’s transphobic opinions are not so important (spoiler: they are) and that it is now time to launch a series on HBO Max, video games, and whatever else they can think of, unlocking our wallets with an “Alohomora.”

Steam DOWNLOAD

Quidditch Gameplay

As proof, the latest from Unbroken Studios is ‘Quidditch Champions,’ a new game based on the famous fictional sport that originated in ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,’ with scoring rules that are, generously speaking, erratic. That didn’t stop EA from releasing ‘Quidditch World Cup’ in 2003, which, although it marked the childhood of many, was as entertaining as it was forgettable.

Now, Warner wants to capitalize on the universe it has acquired through its deep pockets and surprise trailers. That’s why it was surprising that leaked gameplay from the closed beta surfaced ahead of time. You see, ‘Quidditch Champions’ will be an online multiplayer game where players can fully customize their characters, choose their positions on the team, and aim to be a FIFA for all of us who would never go near a football but know perfectly well what a Snitch is.

After the success of ‘Hogwarts Legacy,’ it was clear that more of the Wizarding World was on its way, knocking on the door. And it must be acknowledged that what could be seen before the videos were taken down due to copyright issues looked fantastic (figuratively speaking, don’t expect ‘Tears of the Kingdom’ on a flying broomstick). Well, not everyone thinks the same: there are rumors that in the previous game, they removed Quidditch to avoid cannibalizing the results of this one, and some even accuse it of being a mere copy of ‘Rocket League.’ We’ll have to wait to learn more, but to be honest, as impressive as it may look… it seems a bit like a money grab.

It’s possible that if J.K. Rowling knew that Quidditch would become such a big thing, she would have given it a different name or reconsidered its mechanics. But the truth is that the name came about by jotting down different words that started with ‘Q’ on a piece of paper… and not long after, people were founding clubs to play it in real life. Oh! If you want to join one, don’t search for the word “Quidditch” anymore: due to the author’s inflammatory statements, they now call it “Quadball.” And you can’t use Avada Kedavra on the opposing team either: that wouldn’t make for a realistic game experience.

Tears of the Kingdom: Our Most Cherished Elements and Our Least Liked – Top 3 and Bottom 3

Let’s take a look at the 3 best (and 3 worst) things that has brought us, as everyone knows it, the new Zelda. And after that each one takes the side that they like the most.

Tears of the Kingdom has been with us for a week now, and if you’ve been watching Twitter, people are doing real stunts. Don’t feel pressured to build a rocket if you don’t feel like it: if you think you’re the host of ‘Bricomania’ just by attaching a motor to a board, don’t let anyone take away your enthusiasm. The sequel to ‘Breath of the wild’ is receiving categorical deuces from the entire gaming community and, indeed, it is a tremendous game, a masterpiece, a before and after in the industry… Or maybe it’s not so bad? Let’s take a look at the 3 best (and 3 worst) things that has brought us, as everyone knows it, “the new Zelda”… And then let everyone take the side they like the most.

Steam DOWNLOAD

The new powers

Undoubtedly, it is a wonderful addition. If in ‘Breath of the wild’ it was already a masterful move to change Link’s classic instruments for different magics and powers, in ‘Tears of the Kingdom‘ it is improved to the extreme. If you have the ability to build and enough patience, your ride through Hyrule in a truck, your automatic killing machine or your jet plane will make the experience much more fun. But then again, by thinking of the game vertically instead of the horizontality of the previous installment, being able to easily climb and escape from almost anywhere is a great addition, just as much as rolling things backwards. No one thought Nintendo was going to pull it off, but they have.

Not as free as it seems

This Zelda is sold as the game where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want and however you want… And for the most part it is, but not exactly. Before going here and there you’ll have to go through several gofer quests, assorted tutorials or, even worse, the impossibility of taking down some monsters with ideas of your own: even if you have a wit to take down some of them, the game forces you to do it its way, and it goes against everything it pretends to stand for. It happens only sometimes, but it’s undeniably annoying.

Three maps

Quelling accusations that this was a glorified DLC, Hyrule now grows above and below: the secrets hidden in the clouds and underground are a great addition that enlarges the map to unsuspected limits. If in ‘Breath of the wild’ it was already difficult to get from one side of the country to the other, now, with three times as much place to cover, it’s surprise after surprise. And the best part: you’re always seeing things and places, you always know where you want to go next, you never run out of ideas to keep jogging. Great.

Not so many new features

Yes, it’s back to Hyrule in style. Yes, every plan of the map has been retouched and new places have been opened. And yet… The walk (or ride) around the map feels too much like ‘Breath of the wild‘: although the powers give, playably, a new life to the game, it doesn’t really innovate in the same way that ‘Majora’s Mask’ did with ‘Ocarina of time‘. It’s essentially the same game, with enemies being killed in the same way and similar mechanics. It never ends up feeling like something completely new, but rather like coming home for Christmas and seeing that your parents have done a complete overhaul. It’s not the same, but the structure is.

There is always something to do

Unlike in the previous installment, where the map sometimes seemed to be completely empty, in ‘Tears of the Kingdom’ there is always a sanctuary to reach, a gadget to build, an enemy to kill, a side mission to finish, a piece of map to explore… It is, indeed, a world where you will always find things to do and getting bored is, literally, impossible. It is absolute perfection as far as open world games are concerned, and ‘GTA VI’ has a very difficult time overcoming its variety of tests and, above all, the feeling of a world that is always alive and in motion.

The. Falls. Continuous.

With the addition of the islands in the sky also comes another one that we didn’t see coming: Link’s clumsiness, who falls over and over again to the ground… And unless he sinks into the water or uses the parasail in time, he’ll have no choice but to crash to the ground. Later in the game we get a medallion that will help us, but until then it’s all falls, deaths, crushing and pain. Couldn’t we also have a little rope tied to our ankle so we can easily get back to where we were, please?
