The controversy has struck Infinity Nikki once again, a constantly evolving title that, following the recent release of update 1.9, has faced criticism from its community. The introduction of a “furniture price guide” for this update was not well received; many players considered the prices to be “excessively high,” resulting in widespread negative reactions.
Prices that do not align with what players think
In response to the discontent, Infold Games issued a public apology, acknowledging their mistake in balancing paid content and player experience. In their letter, the studio stated: “First of all, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and confusion caused by the prices and the use of furniture”. However, they also announced that update 1.9 brings a housing system with multiple free options, as well as more than 999 furniture pieces available to all players.
The study clarified that the intention behind Infinity Nikki is to create an authentic home for players, and despite the criticism, they are committed to improving the experience. They announced that they will make adjustments to the prices of furniture packs and that some items will return to more accessible values in the second half of version 1.9.
In addition, free elements such as the furniture from the “Astral Radiance” package will be introduced, along with pieces from the “Leisure Tea Brewing Set”. The developers also mentioned that elements from the open world will become usable decorations in homes, which promises to enrich the customization experience.
Infold Games concluded their message by reiterating their appreciation for community feedback and reaffirming their commitment to continue evolving the game according to the needs and expectations of the players. As the studio navigates through this sea of criticism, fans hope they can restore trust and enjoyment in their virtual world.
Infinity Nikki, the latest title in the gacha genre, has arrived on Steam after months of success on its own launch platform. However, its debut has been met with mixed reviews, achieving only 53% positive ratings among users at the current time. This lukewarm reception is largely due to the issues caused by patch 1.5, which players have described as problematic. One user commented that “the patch has more bugs than a triple-A on launch day,” while another stated that their computer, capable of running demanding games like Baldur’s Gate […]
Infinity Nikki, the latest title in the gacha genre, has arrived on Steam after months of success on its own launch platform. However, its debut has been met with mixed reviews, achieving only 53% positive feedback from users at the current time. This lukewarm reception is largely due to the issues caused by patch 1.5, which players have described as problematic. One user commented that “the patch has more bugs than a triple-A on launch day,” while another stated that their computer, capable of running demanding games like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Cyberpunk 2077, is “unplayable” with this update.
An update that has made the game much more unstable
Reports about the game indicate the presence of multiple bugs and unstable gameplay, which have affected its overall reception. The issues are not exclusive to the Steam version, as they have also been documented on iOS, Android, and other launch platforms. Additionally, difficulties in starting the game on Linux operating systems have been reported, which could be related to the anti-cheat system implemented by the developer, Infold Games. Players have experienced freezes across all platforms, which has increased discontent among the community.
Despite these difficulties, Infinity Nikki has managed to attract a segment of players who value its relaxing tone and focus on fashion. However, the division in the community is evident, as many are frustrated not only by the technical issues but also by the game’s aggressive monetization system, which allows special outfits to be purchased at prices that can reach hundreds of euros. With these concerns, the developers have urged players to use the bug reporting tool, although some have not even been able to access the game menu.
There are excellent mobile games, but sometimes it’s the platform where you least feel like playing. Even though it’s convenient to play anywhere, without being tied to a fixed screen in a physical location, that doesn’t mean it’s the best place to play for many people. Where we have a big screen and a controller, or a proper keyboard and mouse, all mobile devices can take a back seat. That’s why we’ve chosen eight excellent mobile games that you can find on Steam and that you shouldn’t miss just because you don’t want to play them on your phone. […]
There are excellent mobile games, but sometimes it’s the platform that feels the least appealing to play on. Even though it’s convenient to play anywhere, without being tied to a fixed screen in a physical location, that doesn’t mean it’s the best place to play for many people. Where we have a large screen and a controller, or a proper keyboard and mouse, all mobile devices can take a back seat. That’s why we’ve chosen eight excellent mobile games that you can find on Steam and that you shouldn’t miss just because you don’t want to play them on your phone.
Having arrived on Steam literally yesterday, April 28, this is one of the big surprises of last year. Behind its sweet aesthetic clearly aimed at a female audience, there is an excellent open-world adventure game with a captivating narrative and more than interesting puzzle and exploration mechanics. A game that deserves a chance if you are a fan of the last two The Legend of Zelda or Genshin Impact.
The grandfather of all modern RPGs is Wizardry, but it hasn’t had a game worthy of its name for many years. At least until they released this gacha last year where you don’t need to invest a single euro to play. Now playable on PC, it’s the perfect time to discover one of the Wizardry games that has best captured the old-school essence of the franchise while adapting to a modern sensibility, all without abandoning what makes Wizardry the franchise it is.
Created by Ustwo Games, this trilogy of games was born for iOS but has made its way to PC, collecting numerous awards and critical acclaim along the way. And it’s no wonder. It is a puzzle game with absolutely exceptional artistic design, featuring fascinating puzzles that continue to grow with each new sequel, feeling more than just a mobile game due to its tremendous finish. One of those must-have games for puzzle lovers. Or for lovers of good games.
Another game that is on its third installment and, justly, started its journey simultaneously on PC and mobile. Being a 2D Action RPG in the style of the classic The Legend of Zelda, its two greatest achievements are being tremendously beautiful and adorable and having a fascinating open world. Improving tremendously with each new sequel, it is a franchise that has managed to find its own personality and whose fans eagerly await each new installment for good reasons.
The great Disney game of recent years is taking the mobile world by storm, but you don’t have to play it outside of your PC if you don’t want to. Available since its launch on both consoles and computers, this life and adventure simulator invites us to dive into the Disney worlds and discover what it is like to be a Disney princess, or at least, an inhabitant of their worlds. All of this while Donald gets angry non-stop for reasons we don’t quite understand.
If there is an absolutely hilarious game that many more people should play, it is What the Golf? A game that originally came out for iOS and just a month later for PC, and that you shouldn’t miss. Why? Because it is a golf game where absolutely nothing works like in real golf. Sometimes you have stealth missions. Sometimes you are the ball. Sometimes the rules are those of soccer. What are you doing reading instead of running to play it?
The latest game from the creator of Final Fantasy was locked on Apple mobiles for years, causing many fans to miss out. Now Fantasian Neon Dimension is available for PC and consoles to prove that its creator still knows how to make tremendously memorable and unique games in the form of some of the best JRPGs in the world.
World of Goo was one of the first indies to stand out. How can a sequel be 15 years later? A metanarrative madness about the very existence of the sequel to World of Goo that is, moreover, an excellent sequel in its own right. Because World of Goo 2 is also World of Goo 3. And World of Goo 4. And we could keep going like this for quite a while, but if you like World of Goo, it’s better to experience it for yourself rather than stopping to explain it to you.

Black Myth: Wukong has been a great catalyst for the Asian market
This trend is largely due to the growing popularity of games like Black Myth: Wukong, which has revitalized the national video game market in China, attracting a larger number of users to PC and console gaming. Developers in the region claim that this interest has been a long-term desire and that they are now seeing a real opportunity to launch large-scale titles.
Iconic games like Genshin Impact, Infinity Nikki, and Honkai: Star Rail have achieved remarkable success, solidifying the impact of Chinese companies in the industry. Tencent, a gaming giant in China, has a strong presence in this ecosystem, influencing various areas of video game development and distribution.
Additionally, Japanese developers have highlighted the enormous capacity of the Chinese industry, mentioning that it uses ten times more resources and labor than Japan for its projects. This greater financial and human commitment allows for more innovative and bold ideas to emerge, something that, they say, would not always be accepted in the Japanese context.
Mandarin is not only widely spoken in China, but also in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Vietnam, which increases its use on gaming platforms. This phenomenon could continue, as the number of Mandarin speakers continues to rise, altering the landscape of global gaming in the coming years.
There is a whole world out there that we don’t know. Video game franchises that escape us. Genres that we barely touch. Very popular games that are hardly talked about. And this time we are not going to talk about Roblox. Although we could very well talk about Dress To Impress. Because what we are going to talk about is a game that, despite having appeared in one of the most recent State of Play events from PlayStation, seems to be passing by without much noise. Except that’s not true. It’s just that we are not listening. The next Genshin Impact arrives before the end of the […]

The next Genshin Impact arrives before the end of the year
Infinity Nikki, the free-to-play open-world game, adventure, and fashion dressing by Infold Games already has a release date. Being the fifth installment of the Nikki series, a franchise with twelve years behind it, it is expected to have a certain following from its fans. But what we did not expect is that it would be as massive as it actually is.
With over 31 million people registered for its launch at the time of writing this news, we are talking about potentially the biggest launch of the year. Just to put it in context, Zenless Zone Zero, the latest game from MiHoYo, surpassed 40 million registrations this same year. These are considered absolutely massive numbers, impossible to achieve by any other game, and it made the entire industry turn its gaze in its direction. Something that in the case of Infinity Nikki is even more commendable, not having someone with the financial and promotional weight and muscle of MiHoYo behind it.
Infinity Nikki will put us in the shoes of Nikki, who will have to use the powers hidden in different pieces of clothing to solve puzzles, progress through levels, and visit the mysterious world presented before her. With a mix of open world and platform game, reminiscent of the fantastic Super Mario Bros. Wonder from what we’ve seen in the trailers, the use of Unreal Engine 5 rounds out the game with spectacular graphics for what remains a mobile game.
If it catches your attention, Infinity Nikki will be released on December 5th. Less than a month from now. Additionally, it will be available for iOS through the App Store, on Android through Google Play, on PC through Epic Games and on PlayStation 5. So you have no excuse not to dive into the fascinating world of Nikki.
The protagonist, Nikki, is a stylist and, as expected, her games have a lot to do with fashion and achieving fabulous outfits. But her new game, Infinity Nikki, has surprised because it is a fantasy game. Presenting us with a charming open world with a fantasy setting and horror elements, we will have to explore this world by solving puzzles, overcoming obstacles, and completing different minigames.
The world of mobile video games is much more extensive than you imagine. Something that we already showed you with our list of the best games that have come out so far this year. But if we aim at franchises that go beyond the classics, we can find that there are very established games that we have hardly heard of. One of those cases is the Nikki series, by Infold Games.

When it comes to a Nikki game, a large part of the weight of the game will be placed on designing and obtaining different garments, to achieve beautiful looks for Nikki. But even if that’s not what interests you the most, Infinity Nikki looks like a spectacular open-world game in the style of Genshin Impact with its own unique personality.
If you are interested in this game powered by Unreal Engine 5, you can pre-register now to play it on both iOS devices on the Apple Store and Android devices on Google Play. In addition, the game will also be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on a yet to be announced date.
