The Santa Monica studio, known for its work on the successful God of War franchise, is developing a new project that promises to further expand the universe of this iconic video game. According to recent information provided by insider NateTheHate2, the game director will be Cory Barlog, who will return to lead a project that is not based on a new intellectual property, but will feel like one.
A protagonist who is an old acquaintance
In this new installment, Faye, Kratos’ wife, will take center stage as the new main face of the game. Her story has been an intriguing element in the saga, although it has been little explored until now. The decision to focus the narrative on Faye could offer players a fresh and emotional perspective, immersing them in her story and her connection to the Norse world that has been so central in the latest installments.
The rumor of exploring Faye’s background is not new; Cory Barlog had already expressed his interest in this character in the past, suggesting the possibility of delving deeper into her story, which was only briefly touched upon in God of War: Ragnarök. In this way, the project seems to align with Sony’s intention to diversify and expand the God of War brand with different installments that maintain the interest of the gaming community.
The official confirmation of this new game is expected during the upcoming Summer Game Fest, an event organized by Geoff Keighley, where fans from around the world are eagerly awaiting more details. In the meantime, information continues to flow and speculations persist, leaving followers eager to learn more about the future of Kratos and the legacy of his family in this vast universe of myth and adventure.

In a surprising announcement at the end of 2023, Hello Games revealed Light No Fire, an ambitious fantasy game that promises an expansive world, comparable in size to our own planet. Following the success of No Man’s Sky, the studio has raised high expectations within the gaming community. However, since that announcement, the lack of significant updates has generated uncertainty and speculation among fans.
Has been missing for almost two years
The absence of recent information has led some to describe what is known as the Silksong Syndrome, a reference to the anxiety experienced by fans of Hollow Knight after years of silence regarding its expansion. Today’s players expect frequent updates on game development, which contrasts sharply with the sparse communication that Hello Games has presented regarding Light No Fire. On forums like Reddit, fans share their frustration, speculating about a trailer released a year and a half ago and commenting gloomily on the lack of news during major events like the Summer Games Fest 2025.
It is understandable that Hello Games maintains a low profile after the initial experience with No Man’s Sky, where the high expectations generated were not met at the time of launch. Despite this, the game has achieved a remarkable recovery, becoming one of the most iconic comeback stories in the industry. It is expected that the developers will maintain a measured approach as they progress in the development of Light No Fire to avoid repeating past mistakes.
Despite the community’s concerns, interest in Light No Fire remains, although true fans may face a long wait before hearing more news about the game. It is recommended to closely follow updates in specialized media, where all available information about this ambitious project is being gathered.

Ian Proulx, head of Splitgate 2, generated controversy in the gaming community after his appearance at the Summer Game Fest, where he wore a hat reminiscent of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again slogan. Proulx stated that his intention was not political, but to highlight the need for innovation in first-person shooter games, which he considers “tragically stagnant.” However, his choice caused a division in the community, provoking reactions both in favor and against.
It wasn’t hard to realize it was a terrible idea
In a video published later, Proulx apologized for the harm caused and acknowledged that he should have apologized earlier. “I have no excuses, I’m sorry,” he expressed, emphasizing that his goal was to draw attention to the current state of FPS games. During the event, he stated that he was “tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year,” which was interpreted as an attempt to provoke controversy in a saturated market.
The executive stated that the idea behind the hat was conceived as a meme to “break the noise” in an environment where hundreds of games compete for the public’s attention. “We really wanted to improve this genre. We are disappointed with its current state,” insisted Proulx. Despite his attempt to clarify the situation, the controversy persists, leading the executive to acknowledge that his message had a negative impact on the Splitgate community.
Proulx participated in a mini-AMA on Reddit and announced a full AMA for June 11, in order to engage with the community and clarify her intentions. “I hate to see division,” she concluded, reflecting on how the platform they use has had an adverse effect and highlighting the importance of the repercussions of their actions rather than just the intention behind them.

The highly anticipated video game Grounded 2 was released in early access on July 29 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, also available through Game Pass. This release marks an important step for the franchise, as its director, Chris Parker, has noted that the sequel was driven by the technological limitations of the previous version on Xbox One, which made it difficult to implement new features requested by the community.
Things We Can Expect from Grounded 2: Buggies
One of the main novelties that Grounded 2 brings are the buggies, vehicles that players can use in the game. It has been confirmed that initially there will be two buggies available: the red ant and the orb weaver spider. Each one has specific abilities, providing an improved tactical approach for both gathering and combat. To obtain a buggy, players must steal an egg from the creature and hatch it at their base, turning the hostile insect into a friendly ally.
During an event at the Summer Game Fest 2025, Parker explained that, although the team continued to develop updates for Grounded, the desire to address community requests and the limitations of Xbox One technology led to the decision to create a sequel. Buggies were identified as the most requested feature by fans, demonstrating the studio’s commitment to feedback from its player base.
Additionally, Grounded 2 will retain the arachnophobia mode, allowing players to enjoy the experience without the fear of spiders. This accessibility feature has been well received in the community and underscores the studio’s attention to the diverse needs of players. In summary, Grounded 2 aims to expand the universe of its predecessor while focusing on improving the user experience from day one of early access.
Last night one of the most anticipated events of the Summer Game Fest took place. We all expected to see what Sony would offer in its State of Play. Last night, one of the most anticipated events of the Summer Game Fest took place. We all expected to see what Sony would offer in its State of Play. Although they have some interesting games on the horizon, 2025 has not been a good year for the Japanese company. And it doesn’t seem like it will be great in the future. At least from what we could see last Wednesday, June 4, around 11 PM.
It must be admitted that, although there was something for everyone, it was a very Japanese State of Play. Very focused on third parties and for those whose tastes are more based on arcade-style games, or with a more video game approach, and less on narrative or cinematic video games. This may disappoint some people who expect a different approach from Sony after God of War, Uncharted, and The Last of Us, but the truth is that it was an exceptional State of Play in terms of pace and content. And for that reason, we have selected the best announcements so you don’t miss anything.
Lumines Arise
There are only three games that have been able to be as iconic and brilliant as Tetris in the world of puzzles: Puyo Puyo, Meteos, and Lumines. The latter will receive a new installment, as we have learned thanks to Sony, named Lumines Arise. Its premise is to be the same idea as always —grouping four or more symbols in a square or equivalent shape using pieces made up of combinations of one or two symbols— but now with more particles and even more spectacular graphics.
Clearly drinking from the tremendous success of Tetris Effect, it seems that the game is heavily inspired by Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s previous game. But let’s not kid ourselves either. Tetris Effect already drew a lot from Lumines. So we can expect to see what the result will be when it releases this upcoming autumn of 2025 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR.
Pragmata
Initially announced at E3 2020 for 2022, Pragmata has had a tumultuous development. So much so that we haven’t heard anything about it for 2 years and many people suspected it had been canceled. Nothing could be further from the truth, as the game has shown signs of life. And it is spectacular.
Highlighting some absolutely stunning graphics, where the quality of the design of the main girl stands out especially, the game seems pure Capcom. Resident Evil, but with more action and in a science fiction setting. Something we really can’t say no to. But to play it, we will still have to wait. Because Pragmata will be released in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Romeo is a Dead Man
Goichi Suda, better known as Suda51, is one of the great authors of video games. Punk, unrestrained, with no intention of pleasing anyone, he always does what he wants, how he wants, and he doesn’t care if you like what he does. That’s why, if you like it, you’ll love it. And that is the case with Romeo is a Dead Man, a madness about a man trapped between life and death due to a time paradox that shattered the space-time continuum and now he must jump between dimensions to hunt down dangerous fugitives.
It promises to be violent. It promises to be hilarious. And it promises to be vulgar. But it is also deep, human, and a game like no other you have ever played. Because that’s what Goichi Suda’s games are about. However, to play it, we will have to wait until 2026, when we can enjoy it on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Silent Hill f
If there is a horror game that is highly anticipated this year, it is Silent Hill f. Written by one of the most celebrated authors of Japanese horror, putting his own spin on one of the most beloved franchises in the industry, it is impossible for this to go wrong. Especially now that we have finally seen gameplay. And it did not disappoint.
Dark, violent, and very psychological, it seems we will have to go through real hardships to progress in the game. Exactly what we want in a Silent Hill. Additionally, we have been given something even more important. Its release date. The game will be released on September 25 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. And keep a close eye. Because if there is a game in this article that is a contender for game of the year, it is this one.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles
In Europe, we never got to play one of the most celebrated games from the US and Japan within the Final Fantasy franchise. Moreover, it is not a game from the main franchise. Because Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the brightest games that has come from Square Enix and, even today, it still has one of the most impressive stories and one of the most satisfying battles in Tactic RPG.
This remastered version also has two good things. It will include an improved version, with full voice acting and updated graphics, but also the original version for those who want to enjoy what was playable on PlayStation. This time, with the acclaimed translation that the PSP version had. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will be released on September 30 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
Nioh 3
Team Ninja is in a very sweet spot, with many projects on the horizon. And now they have decided to add one that many fans were waiting for: a new installment of their most beloved franchise. Nioh 3 will take us to feudal Japan to face a tremendously challenging souls-like game where, as it seems in the trailer, we will have to choose between protagonists. One is a samurai, similar to the gameplay style of previous installments, and the other is a shinobi, with a style more akin to that of Tenchu.
With the demo now available, it is possible to try the game to see how well it works. And if it will live up to its previous games in the franchise. Even if we will still have to wait until 2026 to enjoy it, we will be able to play it on both PC and PlayStation 5.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
But the big announcement has come from Marvel. Although not only from Marvel. Arc System Works in collaboration with PlayStation Studios has announced Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. This is a 4 vs 4 tag team fighting game, where we choose four characters and alternate between them to fight. Closely following the style of previous games from the company, such as Guilty Gears or Dragon Ball FighterZ, it has a spectacular graphic style and a frantic pace that promises to captivate fighting game fans.
We have seen some of the playable characters, such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Storm, and Dr. Doom. However, like most games, we will still have to wait. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 in 2026. But given the promising look of all these games, it seems that PlayStation has plans, and the wait is well worth it.
A Bethesda developer has reportedly revealed details about the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls VI, suggesting that the game could be completed within two years and that it will be set in Hammerfell. Since the teaser was presented in 2018, it has been seven years since the game was officially announced, making the estimate of two more years of production seem reasonable.
A new navigation mechanic to explore new areas
Among the highlights of the alleged leak is the exploration ship, which will allow players to visit new islands. This new content would be possible thanks to a medieval shipbuilding mode, which will use technology already seen in Bethesda’s upcoming title, Starfield. This focus on navigation could mark a significant change in the gaming experience within the universe of The Elder Scrolls.
However, the credibility of this information has been questioned by some fans on Reddit. Among the concerns expressed is the peculiar insistence on the ship and naval construction system, something that seems unusual for the series. Some users have argued that many of the details presented in the leak have circulated before, making their veracity uncertain.
Despite these doubts, expectations remain high. Bethesda has not made any recent official announcements about The Elder Scrolls VI, but the studio is expected to take advantage of events like the Summer Game Fest to provide more information. It is speculated that the development of other projects, such as the remastering of Oblivion and the Fallout television series, could serve as a boost to reveal more details about this highly anticipated title.

2025 promises to be an exciting year for video game enthusiasts, as the Summer Game Fest has announced its return with an innovative combination of events. The event is scheduled for June 6 at 11:00 PM, Spanish peninsular time, and can be followed on more than 20 digital platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, X, and Steam. The broadcast will last two hours, during which new announcements, surprises, and industry revelations will be showcased.
This year there will be new features to make it more interesting
The festival, which will take place in Los Angeles from June 7 to 9, will focus on interactive experiences for press members and influencers, who will have the opportunity to try demos from more than 40 major distributors. This event, known as SGF: Play Days, will be a great platform for content creators and media to share their impressions and analysis on upcoming releases.
One of the most notable highlights of this edition will be an event hosted by Geoff Keighley, in collaboration with Christopher Dring, former head of GamesIndustry. This special segment will focus on the current opportunities and challenges facing the video game industry, offering an in-depth and relevant analysis for companies in the sector.
While the structure of the festival resembles previous editions, this inclusion of discourses on the state of the sector adds additional value and shows the organizers’ commitment to addressing the most pertinent issues in the field of digital entertainment. The Summer Game Fest is expected not only to provide a glimpse into the next generation of video games but also to foster meaningful dialogue about where the industry is heading. With the prospect of an event full of excitement, video game enthusiasts are already marking the date on their calendars.
Geoff Keighley ha hablado sobre lo que debemos esperar del Summer Game Fest, incidiendo en el hecho de que deberíamos moderar expectativas.
The E3 is a moment of hope, explosive announcements, and flaming logos. We are here to dream, imagine what we may be playing in the future, and let’s be honest, to be sold a strong dose of smoke. It’s part of the game and we accept it. That’s why it’s also the most anticipated event, the most bombastic of all. Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. Although this year, it seems, it might not be all that it usually is.
Like every year, Keighley has made rounds to answer players’ questions before the event. This year, though, he’s dampening people’s excitement, because something he wanted to emphasize is that we should moderate our expectations about what we’ll see this year. Something which, coming from someone who likes to sell everything he does like it’s a revolution, is a bit concerning.
To begin, he has confirmed several things that we should not expect to see. There will be no new trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and nothing about Kindgom Hearts 4, The Wolf Among Us 2, or Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This does not mean that they can’t appear at some other time, in another conference, but they won’t appear at the Summer Game Fest. On the other hand, he has confirmed several things we will see. Palworld will be there talking about its upcoming major update, Atlus will take the stage to talk about Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Capcom will reveal more of Monster Hunter Wilds.
Regarding what we should expect, he’s made clear that the show of big announcements is the Game Awards, and we shouldn’t expect big announcements here. Games will be announced, but they’ll mostly be games that’ll be released before the end of the year. Wanting to focus on game announcements that will come out this year or next, we shouldn’t expect big news about what might appear in 2026 or 2027.
This does not mean, of course, that there won’t be any announcements of this kind. Or that they won’t happen in any of the numerous presentations that will take place in the coming days. That is why, even though Keighley has tried to check expectations, there is life beyond the Summer Game Fest. So even if he doesn’t bring us that hype we’ve come to crave, surely someone else will know how to do it.
These are the dates for E3, and although there is no E3, there are a ton of conferences from which we will tell you everything you need to know.
We are already in June, one of the favorite months for video game fans. The month of E3. Unfortunately, E3 is dead. Caput. It no longer exists. Does that mean we won’t have a week full of announcements for new games to come? Not at all. During these dates, numerous conferences will take place in what we have affectionately called the nonE3. So we will have our annual dose of hype, FOMO, and eagerness to play.
Now, there are quite a few different conferences. It’s easy to get lost and not know which one will really interest you. Even if we know that some of you will try to watch them all. That’s why we’re going to guide you through all the conferences that will take place, when they will be broadcasted, where you can watch them, and what to expect from them. Because, really, the nonE3 is more intense than many E3s we’ve seen.
The E3 will start with the Guerrilla Collective, which will celebrate its fifth consecutive year. Here we can expect, exclusively, indie game presentations. According to their organizations, the confirmed games are Slime Heroes, by Whitehorn Games, Neon Blood, by ChaoticBrain Studios, and Deathbound, by Trialforge Studio. But every year they usually have some interesting surprises, so it’s one of those essential conferences.
Presented by Laura Kate Dale, this event will focus on games developed by people with disabilities and games with options designed for people with disabilities. They have confirmed that Whitethorn Games, Fiction Factory Games, and Platonic, creators of Yooka-Layle, will be there. A conference that promises to be very interesting.
One of the highlights of the noE3, presented by Geoff Keighley. With 55 companies having confirmed their presence, to some extent, it promises to be an event full of announcements. However, if previous Summer Game Fests are any indication, we warn you: it will be a conference full of non-gaming related announcements and a rather precarious pace. Forewarned is forearmed.
Day of the Devs
Day: Friday, June 7th
Time: Unknown (but immediately after the Summer Game Fest)
Probably the most interesting event of the non-E3 for indie game fans. News is expected from Karma: The Dark World, Phoenix Spring, and UFO 50, the new game from Derek Yu, creator of Spelunky. Historically, Day of the Devs has announced some of the indie games that have caused the most sensation upon their release. That’s why this is a must-attend event for any indie game lover.
Historically celebrated in a parking lot, now in a conference always full of craziness, they haven’t confirmed anything yet about what they will show. It is expected that we will know more about Anger Foot, Skate Story, and The Plucky Squire, as well as see new games yet to be announced. That, and some madness about generative AI and how it’s going to destroy the world, probably.
Indie game event presented by a V-tuber who has not yet confirmed any games. Last year was interesting, without being crazy, so we expect something similar this year.
Here we are for cute, soft and warm games. Little violence, less politics, although they usually present interesting games. If you like farm games, work games or in general, games that are cute and comforting, this is your conference. If you expect something with more action, better skip it.
As its name suggests, it will be a conference based on games made in Latin America. Featuring 45 games, they have already announced all the games that will be showcased during the conference. We recommend keeping an eye out for games like Keylocker, Mariachi Legend, and Arco, games with great potential that could easily become your next obsession. And they will be featured here.
Once again, a self-explanatory conference. This one will focus on games developed by studios led by women or with a majority of women working on them. While no games have been announced yet, previous editions of this showcase have resulted in some noteworthy releases.
Official event of Games Radar, it is not usually the most eye-catching of the non-E3, but they always bring interesting things. Last year’s hits were Still Wakes the Deep, No Rest for the Wicked, Hauntii, and Holstin, which makes us think that this year they will bring an interesting mix of AA and indie games. However, they have not announced any games so far.
Another highlight of E3 is the Xbox showcase. With Nintendo and Sony not present during these dates, Microsoft has the stage all to themselves. And they need it. After a terrible start to the year for the company, they can try to redeem themselves with news about their announced games, almost none with a release date, and announce new games. They have the carpet under their feet, now they just need to walk on it.
One of the most alienating events of the non-E3 is, without a doubt, the PC Gaming Show. With over 50 games, as well as interviews with developers, it tends to be an event without a clear focus beyond focusing on PC. Long, usually with a slow pace, they usually present a handful of interesting games, but be prepared to see many games that you will never see again.
To close the E3, at least as far as we know, it’s Ubisoft. Their Ubisoft Forward in recent years have been tremendously disappointing, something we hope will change this year. We are likely to see more of Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it is not so likely that we will see anything from Beyond Good & Evil 2, and we will probably see some new game announced. We just hope it’s not another free-to-play shooter that closes in four months.
Palworld might be about to receive news of new content, as hinted by its developer, Pocketpair, at an upcoming event.
Palworld was one of the big releases at the beginning of the year. Although it is true that it has been progressively declining, failing to maintain momentum throughout the months, the game still has a large community of players. Furthermore, given its success, it would not be surprising if they managed to regain some of that lost audience. Something that could happen in the near future. Since Pocketpair, the developing company, has hinted at upcoming changes.
Pocketpair has announced that Palworld will be at the Summer Game Fest. Celebrating on June 7th, they have announced that they have a lot of exciting things to show. Including some highly anticipated features by users. Giving us one more good reason to watch this event.
The only problem is that in Pocketpair they have wanted to maintain the mystery, not revealing what those features will be. Something that has led players to go crazy speculating, thinking about what they could be. Because one thing is certain. Pocketpair has promised many features in Palworld and, while it is true that they have added some of them, there are still many promised things that have not been added. So there are many possibilities that they will surprise us.
The most likely announcement that will come during this event is the game launch on PlayStation 5. Shuhei Yoshida, the head of indies at PlayStation, already confirmed it subtly on Twitter, something that would make sense to happen during one of the big events of the year. Unless PlayStation itself announces it earlier, in its own event, which we hope will happen during those same days.
Furthermore, if we have to make any bets, we have two. On one hand, regional variants of the Pal, following what Nintendo already did with Pokémon. On the other hand, if it were to come to PlayStation, it is imaginable that it would come with one of the features they promised a long time ago and still haven’t given us: crossplay. That, along with some more online possibilities, would give us the bulk of the most important aspects they have promised for the game.
