The script for ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness’ will be written by Bartosz Sztybor, who was also a screenwriter for the original series and the creative director of the franchise. The story will unfold during Rebecca’s childhood and youth and her relationship with her brother Pilar, showcasing the challenges they face before the tragic events that mark the conclusion of the anime.

According to the official synopsis, the plot will follow the brothers as they struggle to forge their own name in the chaotic city of Night City. However, their lives will take an unexpected turn with the appearance of a mysterious character who will change the course of their destinies. It is anticipated that the narrative will maintain a frenetic and brutal pace, similar to that of the original series, which received critical acclaim in 2022 by being named the best anime of the year, surpassing popular titles like ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ and ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.’

In addition, the collaboration with Dark Horse Comics reflects the publisher’s commitment to consolidating its presence in the Western manga and anime market, with highly successful titles in its catalog. Although the adaptation of ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness’ as an animated series has not yet been confirmed, announcements regarding it are likely to be made in the near future, given the popularity of the franchise.
