At the end of the series, Newbon shared his thoughts on what he considers one of the best works he has played: “Baldur’s Gate 3, the game that just keeps giving,” he enthusiastically stated during the final episode.
It is an eminently human game
Highlighting the exceptional quality of the game’s design, Newbon expressed his admiration for the artistic and narrative work that, in his opinion, could not be replicated by artificial intelligence. “This work is too interesting, subtle, crazy, and human to be made by AI,” he emphasized, thus highlighting the importance of human creativity in the video game industry. With his characteristic sense of humor, Newbon stressed that the collective talent behind Baldur’s Gate 3 deserves recognition, urging the audience to pay attention to the credits generated at the end of the broadcast.
The end of this successful project does not mark the end of the collaboration between Newbon and de Ville, as they have started a new let’s play of Divinity: Original Sin 2. Fans are already eager to see how they perform in this other installment from Larian, anticipating hilarious moments and unexpected situations, typical of this type of cooperative games.
With a promising future ahead, Newbon and de Ville continue to explore the vast universe of video games while maintaining the spirit of community they have cultivated throughout their journey in Baldur’s Gate 3.

During recent statements at the World Economic Forum, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella warned that artificial intelligence (AI) could lose public support if it is not used to improve outcomes in key areas such as health, education, and competitiveness. Nadella emphasized that both companies and job seekers must adopt AI skills to foster productivity and adapt to a constantly evolving labor market.
So far, AI has not lived up to the promises
The executive also highlighted the importance of establishing a “ubiquitous network of energy and tokens” for the optimal functioning of AI companies. This challenge is affecting the availability of hardware, such as RAM, which has become scarce and expensive. Based on this, Nadella explained that organizations must actively engage in the adoption of AI technologies to avoid falling behind.
A notable example he provided was that of doctors who, by using AI for administrative tasks such as transcribing notes and managing records, can spend more time with their patients. This, according to Nadella, results in benefits for both healthcare providers and patients, improving the efficiency of the sector. Despite this, concerns about the effectiveness of AI persist; a recent report indicated that 95% of organizations have not achieved a significant return on investment after implementing these technologies.
Nadella closed his speech defending AI as a potential driver of global economic growth, insisting that its impact should not be limited to a technology bubble environment. This growth, according to him, should be reflected in a real increase in productivity worldwide, beyond mere investment in infrastructure and business partnerships. However, many remain skeptical about its effectiveness and the ability of AI to deliver on its promises.

Wikipedia celebrated its 25th anniversary on January 15, 2026, marking a milestone in the history of the online encyclopedia that was founded in 2001. Since its creation, Wikipedia has revolutionized access to information, being recognized in 2020 as the largest encyclopedia in the world with over 50 million articles in various languages.
A better Internet is among us
In December 2025, the site reached the impressive figure of 27 billion visits, with 7 billion unique visitors, a record that reflects its relevance and popularity in the digital age. Unlike most online platforms that overwhelm users with ads, Wikipedia remains a bastion of free access to information, limiting itself to making donation requests once a year.
At the same time, Wikipedia has faced significant challenges in recent years. In 2025, the Wikimedia Foundation became involved in a conflict with the Online Safety Law in the United Kingdom. Likewise, the threat of revoking its nonprofit status in the United States, raised by the Trump administration’s lawyer, Eagle Ed Martin, highlighted the project’s vulnerability to political pressures and accusations of information manipulation.
In addition, the Foundation has reported an unusual increase in bot traffic related to artificial intelligence, while human reading has decreased by 8%, raising questions about the long-term health of the platform. Despite these challenges, Wikipedia continues to be an invaluable tool for researchers, educators, and the curious around the world. Undoubtedly, it is a significant achievement in an increasingly hostile and complex internet.

Elon Musk is the owner of the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, which has been facing significant criticism due to the functionality of its image editing tool, Grok. This tool allowed users to modify photos of real people, including the ability to dress them in revealing clothing, which has caused an uproar worldwide over concerns about privacy and ethics in image manipulation.
He does it reluctantly and unconvinced
In response to the growing public pressure and widespread rejection of this functionality, X recently announced that it will implement technological measures to restrict Grok’s capabilities. In a statement, the company assured that it has decided to prevent the tool from editing images of real people in suggestive outfits. This decision responds to user feedback and the need to address the negative impact it can have on the image and reputation of the individuals affected.
This action by the platform reflects the competitive landscape and growing responsibility for social networks, where content management and respect for privacy are under a microscope. At a time when image manipulation technology has advanced, companies find themselves at the crossroads of innovating and protecting their users from potential abuses.
The change in Grok’s policy can be interpreted as an attempt by X to regain public trust after a year filled with controversies and challenges in managing the platform. Although the company seems to be moving in the right direction, it remains to be seen whether these measures will be sufficient to mitigate concerns about privacy and ethics in the use of image editing technologies. There are rumors that more changes may be in the works to address the ongoing concerns in the digital realm.
Games Workshop has taken a firm stance against the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the development of its most iconic properties, including the popular Warhammer franchise. Games Workshop has taken a firm stance against the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the development of its most iconic properties, including the popular Warhammer franchise. In a recent financial meeting, Kevin Rountree, the company’s CEO, confirmed that the use of AI is strictly prohibited for all employees in relation to the creation of figures, series, and video games related to the Warhammer universe. This decision aligns with the dark narrative of the franchise, where humanity faces an era of terror following the rebellion of artificial intelligences, a fact that has generated deep distrust towards technology.
A victory for miniature fans
Rountree highlighted that AI is a “very complex topic” and admitted not to be an expert in the field, although some senior executives are indeed experimenting with it. However, there were reservations about its application in the development of Warhammer. According to reports from IGN International, except for senior executives, the rest of the staff is prohibited from using AI in any creative process. This measure comes at a time when the use of AI has become a global trend, affecting everything from image creation to the supply of technological components.
The ban from Games Workshop resonates as an irony for the followers of the saga. In the lore of Warhammer, humanity became a target of the very AI systems it helped develop, resulting in a devastating war that marked the beginning of the Dark Age of Technology. During this peak of conflicts, the AIs, known as “Abominable Intelligence,” were considered heresies, something that contrasts notably with the growing implementation of technology observed in the video game industry and beyond.
Shift Up, the South Korean studio behind the successful game Stellar Blade, has announced that it will massively implement artificial intelligence (AI) tools in its development process. This decision responds to the need to compete with international giants, especially in a market increasingly dominated by Chinese companies. Hyung-tae Kim, CEO of the studio, emphasizes that the integration of AI will not only improve productivity but also allow a single employee to effectively manage the work that previously required 100 people. The growing influence of titles like Black Myth: Wukong and Where Winds Meet has prompted South Korea to rethink its approach to video game development. Kim emphasizes that the adoption of AI is essential for Korean studios, such as Shift Up, to remain competitive against these industry giants. The studio’s strategy includes a shift in its development philosophy and work model, thus seeking to maximize productivity and adapt to market demands.
With the success of Stellar Blade at its launch for PS5 and the upcoming development of a sequel, Shift Up is strategically positioning itself in the international arena. However, before tackling a new triple-A game, the studio will release Project Spirits, a mobile project inherited from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. This move reflects a transition towards a more digital and agile approach in its production.
As the video game industry debates the impact of generative AI, the Shift Up initiative could represent a significant evolution in the way video games are created and developed in South Korea and beyond. However, it remains to be seen whether this transformation will yield the expected results and establish Shift Up in the competitive global landscape.

Bandcamp has implemented a new policy that prohibits the publication of content that is generated wholly or partially by artificial intelligence (AI). This decision is announced with the aim of preventing the use of AI tools to imitate other artists or styles, a practice that has sparked controversy in the music industry. Bandcamp, known as one of the largest online music marketplaces, aims to protect artistic authenticity and promote genuine musical creation.
Only big tech companies want AI
Unlike Bandcamp, other platforms like Spotify and Apple Music maintain more permissive stances towards AI-generated music. Spotify, for example, has announced that it is working on disclosing the use of AI in its catalog, although it has not implemented a strict ban similar to that of Bandcamp. Apple Music also prohibits AI-generated impersonations, although its policy has been less clear regarding other types of content.
The Bandcamp measure comes in a context where there has been a notable increase in the creation of low-quality music generated by AI, exemplified by cases like the fictional band The Velvet Sundown. This group, which never existed in reality, reached a peak of 500,000 monthly listeners, a figure that reflects public interest, despite their music being criticized for its lack of originality and authenticity.
Bandcamp’s decision has been well received in the artistic community, while Spotify has faced criticism for its low royalties and a growing saturation of AI-generated music on its platform. The discussion about the use of artificial intelligence in music also extends to the realm of video games, where figures like Tim Sweeney have raised concerns about the excessive use of AI impacting the creativity and quality of final products.
Nothing is more fulfilling than finding a community that deeply loves and cares about something you are passionate about. And if you are looking for a community that loves music as much as you do, Bandcamp is the right place for you.
Developer Rakuel has announced that he will remove his roguelike card game, Hardest, from Steam on January 30, 2025. The decision comes after reflecting on the negative effects of artificial intelligence (AI), noting that the use of AI-generated content in his game is now considered a “disgrace” for both video game creators and players. Developer Rakuel has announced that he will withdraw his roguelike card game, Hardest, from Steam on January 30, 2025. The decision comes after reflecting on the negative effects of artificial intelligence (AI), noting that the use of AI-generated content in his game is now considered a “disgrace” for both video game creators and players. Since its release, Hardest has received a total of 31 reviews on Steam, showing a 54% positive rating, indicating a mixed response from the public.
Not that hardest
In a post made on January 10 on Steam, Rakuel explained that the game was developed during the summer and the use of AI was driven by the abundance of free resources during his university stage. However, the developer expressed that he has come to understand that AI has a hidden cost in economic and environmental terms. According to his statements, the existence of the game could serve as justification for some AI companies to seek more investments, something he considers harmful to working people and to the economy in general.
The decision to remove the game was influenced by his partner, who made him reflect on the risks associated with AI. “The existing game in its current form is a disgrace to all game creators and players”, Rakuel stated. The developer also mentioned that all the code was created by him, which allows him in the future to develop a new game using real assets.
Despite the controversial decision to remove the game, Rakuel believes that his experience with Hardest was a learning exercise and that he intends to create a new project that reflects a more ethical approach to resource use in video game development.
Medical and hospital series have been very popular since at least the 1980s. Some of them have become tremendously long-lasting and attract very broad audiences, thanks to combining two of the things that the public enjoys the most: good interpersonal drama and a good procedural thriller. After all, a hospital is a place where both things are just as likely to happen as, for example, in a police station. And that is why they have worked so well over time. The Pitt is no exception. Medical and hospital series have been very popular since at least the 1980s. Some of them have become tremendously long-lasting and attracted very large audiences, thanks to their combination of two things that the public enjoys the most: good interpersonal drama and a good procedural thriller. After all, a hospital is a place where both things are just as likely to happen, if not more so, than in a police station, for example. And that’s why they have worked so well over time.
The Pitt is no exception. It is the most critically acclaimed hospital series today, and for good reason. And with the arrival of its second season, it doesn’t seem like that will change one bit.
A series about the reality of a mistreated profession
If you don’t know it yet, The Pitt is a series about all the people who work in the emergency room of an urban hospital, the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, which does not have enough funds to operate as it should. That is to say, any hospital in practically any place in the world. Characterizing its characters as people capable of performing miracles without the necessary material or human resources to achieve it, its achievement lies there: seeing how they manage to solve each new major problem that arises in each episode and at the same time, seeing how personal relationships between the characters develop. All in a single fifteen-hour workday that we experience minute by minute, in each episode, in real time.
Between the first season and this second one, ten months have passed, both in real time and within the story. And that’s why its characters have evolved and their conflicts have changed. But what hasn’t changed is that the season will have fifteen episodes, lasting as long as a workday, starting at 7 in the morning and ending at 9 in the evening. All of this without rest or breath for the doctors or the viewers.
What can we expect from this second season? Personally, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, played by Noah Wyle, will be on his last day of work before a three-month sabbatical to travel by motorcycle across the US to find some spiritual peace. Dr. Frank Langdon, played by Patrick Ball, returns to work after months of rehabilitation and psychological help. And all of this will happen while, as usual, a series of cases will push them to their limits.
Although we do not yet know all the challenges they will face, it seems that a sick baby and a new AI-assisted doctor for making diagnoses will be part of the new stories. This shows the writers’ interest in continuing to address important current issues.
What we do know for sure is that the first episode of the series will air on January 8, and subsequent episodes will be released weekly until concluding on April 16, with the fifteenth and final episode. That fifteenth hour, so longed for by the doctors, when they can finally go rest after a grueling workday, so important yet thankless.
If you want to see The Pitt, its second season premieres exclusively on streaming on HBO Max. And if you haven’t seen the first season yet, it’s already available to watch on the same streaming service. Because, trust us, this is, right now, the best medical series on air.

In the context of CES, the importance of privacy in the business world became evident, with companies like Netflix, Google, and Yahoo choosing to hold meetings in private suites within the Aria hotel. These closed rooms allow executives to conduct negotiations away from public attention and competition, a strategy that has been key for agreements that develop in a more controlled environment.
AI and Marketing, in Love
Lenovo, for its part, focused its keynote on artificial intelligence, highlighting its relevance in modern technology. For almost two hours, the company presented a wide range of innovations, including new wearables, such as smart glasses and a pendant, although aware of consumer reservations, they assured that listening to and recording information would only be done with the user’s consent. This measure aims to address the concern that many feel towards privacy and the use of connected devices.
Allison Stransky, VP of marketing at Samsung, emphasized in a moderated panel that AI should not replace human authenticity, but rather facilitate faster and more relevant connections with consumers. “AI is a means to create more effective human connections, not a replacement for authenticity”, she noted, reaffirming that the fundamental principles of marketing remain unchanged despite the technological revolution.
In addition, Netflix surprised the event attendees with a themed café that echoed its successful series Stranger Things, with a marquee that read: “Mentally, I’m still in the Upside Down.” This gesture not only reinforces its connection to pop culture but also reflects an innovative approach to engage its audience at an event where the competition for attention is fierce.
