In the latest investors’ meeting, Capcom revealed, in addition to an excellent economic and fiscal performance, what their future plans are. Looking to nurture a specific series of franchises to grow in the future, they have decided to focus on seven of them. Six are not surprising, as there had already been announcements about them, namely Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Dead Rising, Onimusha, Dragon’s Dogma, and Okami. Ace Attorney the future of Capcom

Ace Attorney is a series of visual novels that began its publication on Game Boy Advance in 2001 and has had six main games, as well as multiple spinoffs, based on acting in trials, searching for clues, and confronting rival prosecutors. A man with clear ideas

Pragmata, the latest original IP from Capcom, is a game that Adi Shankar and the people around him have their eyes on. “The number of people who have written to me is concerning (…). They are all like, ‘God, you have to do this next'” Shankar himself declared. But according to him, if it happens, it won’t be soon. “The next two things beyond Devil May Cry are original,” he stated, showing an interest beyond adapting the works of others.

Pragmata has been an absolute success, selling over two million copies in its first month. Being a great success in both critical acclaim and sales for Capcom, the Japanese company has already stated that its intention is to continue expanding its universe in the future, so it would not be surprising if, at some point, we saw an animated series based on it.

On the other hand, Shankar is not surprised by his success. “I have the feeling that one of the reasons people are excitedly talking about Pragmata is because it is original”. Capcom has unexpectedly released an update for Resident Evil Requiem called Leon Must Die Forever.

This mini-game, promised by director Koshi Nakanishi last March, will put us in the shoes of Leon S. Kennedy to play in different scenarios from the main game, changing the order of enemy and item appearances to create a frantic and intense arcade experience.

A much-anticipated update

Leon Must Die Forever is the first of the planned updates for the game, with the next being a paid DLC that will continue the story. While it has not yet been clarified how it will do so, there are two clear lines regarding this.

On one hand, since Grace does not appear in this update, it is possible that her story will continue. On the other hand, the game ends with Chris Redfield’s Hound Wolf Unit arriving at the laboratory, so they could develop what his involvement in the events of the game is.

For its part, Leon Must Die Forever contains five difficulty modes, a new progression system, and a randomized upgrade system.
